Is it something that can be bypassed by the group, or something he can disable? (Pit would need to be bypassed, pressure plate probably disabled, etc.)

Rivon notices a 10 foot square trapdoor that leads to a 10 foot deep pit. After investigating the area, you notice a 2 foot wide catwalk on the west edge that will allow access to the door, or you can attempt to leverage the trap door with some Thieves' Tools.

Thrak would stand behind Rivon, looking over his shoulders before looking back to the others. "Anyone here any good at unlocking doors? I will help and lend a hand any way I can" He would say as he mutters in goblin under his breath and summons a green skeletal mage hand and positions it next to the lock, ready to hold a light of lock pick if needed.

Thrak gingerly makes his way across the courtyard to assist Rivon with the trap door. The ghostly mage hand holds the door in place as Rivon uses his Thieves' Tools to permanently disable the trap. As Rivon looks into the pit, he doesn't get to see too much as a Giant Rat climbs out to attack.
"I was starting to wonder if he would remember.."Cade jesters underbreathe on his way up the stairs and into the courtyard. "Huh... Never thought I'd see the day... *ahem*… Get the door unlock there, Mr. Rivon?" The goblin calls out on his way across the courtyard to the door, stopping just shy of the pit... assuming he makes it so far.

(OOC - Woops! Missed Bal's post, but pretty sure that rat will be dead by the time Cade notices a fight even happened.)
Rivon sees the rat climbing out of the pit and stabs it right through the throat. The Giant Rat slides back into the pit with a slight gurgling sound. Cade nimbly walks along the courtyard, as if it wasn't even damaged at all. As Rivon watches the rat slide back into the pit, he can see two Goblin skeletons and a dead Goblin that's about a day since it died. Laying next to the Goblin's corpse is a Scimitar and a Shield.

Thrak Acrobatics to cross the courtyard if still needed 5 (Hopefully not...)
Thrak will make his way across the courtyard.. keeping his eyes peeled for threats instead of looking at the floor below him.....
(IF) he makes it to the goblin corpse, The hobgoblin would pick up the scimitar and shield before looking to the others. "We should bring these with us.. can any of you make use of these?" He would ask holding up the equipment.
