Cade will open it after Rivon's check. Though it would mean Rivon would have/want to be further back to hide behind a body. "Okay. Once more into the breach." He mutters if able to open the door following the inspection. This time with less of emphasis of being quiet in the heat of the moment.

(OOC - That's correct, there's still the door at the end of the hall.)
Cade opens the door with Rivon hiding behind Xavnan. When he looks inside, he sees..
Crudely executed symbols and glyphs, scribed in bright green dye, decorate this large and irregularly shaped crumbling chamber. A large pit in the center shows evidence of a recent fire. A metallic cage in the middle of the southern wall contains a gaping hole and stands empty. A small wooden bench draped with green cloth is next to the cage, and several small objects rest on it. A bedroll lies near the wooden bench, and the sound of whimpering comes from inside it.

Rivon draws a bead on the whimpering bedroll from behind his tall-person cover and waits for someone else to investigate. He's ready to shoot, but is cautious as threatening things don't tend to whimper.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ekk wanders to catch a glimpse at the tubes, but the whimpering catches his ear. He will grab the green blanket and hold it up to capture whatever is in the bedroll.
Rivon readies his crossbow and aims at the green blanket as Ekk wanders over to investigate the blanket. He lifts up the blanket and underneath it is a Kobold, whimpering and afraid.

The Kobold happily takes the food, and in a weepy voice he says, "Meepo is ok, only Meepo pride is hurt. The clan's dragon ... we lost it. The wretched goblins stole Calcryx, our dragon!"

Ekk goes in for a hug slowly as to not alarm Meepo Comforting the kobold he begins to translate the story for the rest of the party who don’t speak draconic. “Tell us what happened.”
"Ya got to be shit'n me." Cade says, finally piping up after an intense moment of playing 'should I or shouldn't' on drawing his handaxe for a swift throwing. "Not only are multiplying. But now there's a real dragon involved."He states dryly, and then squints at Meepo. Caring not if he panicked the kobold in the process, he starts to march over if noone stops him on the safest course, saying along the way, "Hold up. Ya know where those goblins are?"
(OOC - @Balar: If any of Meepo's words were meant to be in draconic as well, Cade won't approach, but he'll still say the first part about multiplying and cursing his luck.)
(OOC - @Orileo He said it in common, because he saw that there were more than just Kobolds around.)
Meepo watches as Cade comes storming over in his direction, and hides behind Ekk. In response to Cade's question he says, "Meepo don't know, but Yusdrayl does. Meepo take you to meet Yusdrayl, our leader, if you make nice. You get safe passage, if you promise to make nice. Maybe if you promise to rescue dragon, Yusdrayl make nice to you, answer questions."

Thrak would have been listening and studying the kobold got some time. The hobgoblin would raise an eyebrow in interest when the topic of rescuing a dragon was brought up. once the kobold was finished talking, Thrak would look to Meepo and smile. "Friend... my name is Thrak." He would say extending a hand for a handshake. "Before I agree to help you.. I must ask... What color are this dragons scales? Are they a metallic color by chance?" He would ask with a look of concern...
"I am sorry for butting into this family reunion but what do you mean rescue?" Xavnan looks to the rest of the party then back at Thrak "Does it matter what color it is. We are talking about a dragon here. We already have a task. Has anyone thought to ask if he has seen other adventures, young ones, with rings. Maybe the dragon ate them."
"The color of the dragon matters a lot!" Thrak would say with a look of surprise. "To rescue a gold dragon could mean a powerful ally in our quest.. maybe even for life! To rescue a black or red dragon might just mean they don't eat us today..." Thrak would then pause for a moment before continuing. "Also friend.. If you are concerned about rings. Dragons have hoards of treasure... and the right kind of dragon might just be grateful enough to part with some if we were to save them.... But that.... once again... depends on the color of the dragon most likley...

(OOC Hiding behind the door frame, away from the direction it opens. Rivon is really small)
(Though I see that it's a 5' hallway, so that may not work. If we can't swing it using Halfling Nimbleness, I'll move behind a tall person.)
You can move through the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.

“Crudely executed symbols and glyphs“ (I see glyphs, I think magic.). History or religion is +4 to that if that’s more accurate.

Ekk will speak in draconic very excitedly. “Hello, we aren’t here to hurt anyone, come on out.”
Very slowly, the Kobold comes out from under the blanket. He's no taller that Ekk, and his body is riddled with scars.
