(Rand, how do you roll 4 ones?!!! The dice-bot gods really tried to screw you on that one!!)
Penumbra and Rand both drop their opponents - the tiefling finishing off the first one with a flourish and deadly strike with her rapier, then jumping (with a few flaps of her wings) to the roof of the house, 20 feet above the street! Rand's opponent felt every bit of the thunderous attack, and the strike echoes off the walls of every building in town as if lightning had struck!
Bankur sets his feet and raises his shield as the thug rushes towards him. As the thug closes the gap, he feints with his body to the left and Bankur follows to block. The thug was waiting for the move though, and after the feint brings his weapon in an overhand slash coming from Bankur's now vulnerable right side, digging into Bankur's rib cage. With a grunt Bankur absorbs the blow and pushes the thug in the direction he was already going, using his own momentum against him. As the thug disengages and moves away, Bankur swings his mace at the thug in an arcing, downward, backhand slash, catching the thug solidly on the shoulder.
Attack: 17 Damage: 5
As Bankur turns to survey the carnage in the street he exclaims "Friend Tarin! You must really learn to duck better!" A look of concentration crosses Bankur's face and a wave of white energy bursts from Bankur's hands and flows towards the fallen Tarin as Bankur utters a prayer. "Ilmater, let your power lessen this man's suffering."

Penumbra and Rand both drop their opponents.
Salty Joe viciously mocks the redbrand (DC13Wis save: 19) attacking Bankur, causing the ruffian some cognitive dissonance but not enough to trouble the already simple mind. The bold words of the bard inspire Rand to greater deeds, however! (Bardic Inspiration for Rand)
Bankur connects his mace to the redbrand's shoulder, then calls on the power of his god to heal up Tarin! The gnome wizard gasps in the middle of the street where he had fallen, taking a moment to collect himself. (Tarin will act next round.)
The two redbrands left, thinking the gnome still down and the tiefling gone, try to press their assumed advantage. The one who dropped Tarin turns his attention to 4 Salty Joe trying to duck around the corner. "Come back here, you darkie half-breed!" He swings his short swords in practiced swings.
Bankur's assailant stumbles with the force of the mace hitting him, but only spits on the ground and swings again. Redbrand4 attack1: 8 Damage: 4 - Redbrand4 attack2: 23 Damage: 8

Rand, being near death and feeling imminent doom, hears a familiar sound of encouragement from Salty Joe and in spite of his current situation, he starts to smile. "I told you the only way I would give you my sword was with the pointy end in your gut, you bastard."
Rand turns in time to see Bankur's opponent strike home. He lets out another roar which is another prayer of vengeance, and attacks rebrand4. (Attack: 8 Damage: 7)
(I rolled TWO ones AGAIN. Re-rolling my damage with great weapon fighting style: (13) (Rand burns a spell slot to use Divine Smite: (9) (Total Damage = 17)
Salty parries the first attack and ducks the second. He stands up slowly and makes direct eye contact with the thug and begins to sing a song only he can hear, Dissonant Whispers (wis save dc 13 or take 13 and move away)
The Thug Hears this
Lift every voice and sing Till earth and heaven ring Ring with the harmonies of Liberty; let our rejoicing rise, high as the list'ning skies, let it resound loud as the rolling sea
(So based on the actions so far, Rand has killed redbrand 4, and Salty may have severely hurt the pride of the last one. {Let's see if he makes his DC13 Wis save: 11} Nope! The last ruffian moves 30' away from you, moving down the street towards Tresender Manor. Will let Penumbra have her action, and Bankur gets an attack of opportunity. All at advantage because he's still glowing with faerie fire =)
The thug absorbs Bankur's mace hit to his shoulder with a slight stumble, then turns and launches a sidearm sweep with his weapon at Bankur's gut. Bankur steps quickly backwards to avoid the attack, which lightly brushes the outside of his chainmail armor but otherwise misses the mark. The thug follows his first sweeping attack with a second one that takes Bankur by surprise and lands home on his thigh with a solid thump, causing Bankur to stumble.
As Bankur recovers and prepares his counter attack, Rand steps behind the thug and drops him. Bankur visibly sags under the weight of his wounds, but notices Rand looking much worse for the wear. "Friend Rand, you and I seem to be in sad shape. Let's do something about that and hope we have no more of those thugs to deal with tonight." Bankur takes a step over to Rand and places a hand on his shoulder, bowing his head slightly and saying a short prayer. "Let the glory of Ilmater ease your suffering, friend." As he finishes the prayer a wave of white healing magic flows between the two, and Rand immediately looks better.
(OOC - I was under the assumption, like Keneux, that Penumbra finished off the last Redbrand. If that isn't the case and Rhan tells us the guy is still up, I'll adjust my action to attack the fleeing thug and forgo my healing of Rand until my next turn. Also, this attack (if it happens) is meant to be non-lethal damage with the intent of knocking the thug out rather than killing him)
After watching Rand dispatch the thug he had been battling, Bankur quickly turns towards the remaining, fleeing thug and swipes at him with his mace as he runs past.
(Penumbra would have held her shot until the thug was already 30 ft away, if the others manage to stop him from fleeing with their opportunity attacks she would not shoot. I should have mentioned that in my last post.)
Three of the thugs lay on the ground unconscious and bleeding out. The fourth one, who tried to run away, is also on the ground, gasping in pain and incapacitated. He seems absolutely terrified of the bard for some reason...Tarin, just recovering again, says, "I'm too young to die like this, alone on a dusty street or in an old, musty cave! My adventuring days are over! Don't get me wrong - you all are a super lot of bigs, but I think I'm gonna head back to the Inn and rethink my path...thanks for not letting me die out here!" And with a few hugs or handshakes, the gnome trudges off.
Your interrogation of the last surviving redbrand reveals some rather interesting things...(feel free to write this up - don't want to make any more assumptions for your characters =)
The redbrands have a stronghold in the cellars of Tresendar Manor.
The leader of the Redbrands is a human wizard known as Glasstaff, so named because his magic staff is made of glass.
A mysterious figure called the Black Spider hired the Redbrands to frighten off adventurers and intimidate the locals, for reasons unknown. The Black Spider also sent bugbears to reinforce the Redbrands and provide extra muscle.
The lower part of the complex is guarded by a hideous “eye monster.”
The Redbrands have a handful of captives in a holding area “near the old crypts,” which are guarded by skeletons.
(You each earn 100 XP! Each redbrand has a small pouch with 25 sp and two shortswords (40 gp total sell price).)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While the Redbrand thug spills his cowardly guts to the group, Bankur busies himself tending the group's wounds, and quickly discovers his seem to be the worst. Kneeling and saying a short prayer Bankur is surrounded by a white light that quickly dissipates. Bankur's wounds look immediately better and some of the color returns to his face.
"Though I still have a small bit of healing magic left to me, I must rest now to regain my full complement of spells. We should head to a safe place to recuperate, and to digest the new information gained from the thug, as soon as we can friends."
Salty uses the Redbrand's scarf to clean his blade while he talks. "Resting is a good idea but only after we find out what happened to Raldean. I found a spot in this alleyway which looks like someone tried to cover up a fight. I say we follow that and if it comes up bunk then we pack it in for tonight."
Salty turns to the Redbrand, "What do you know about the blood stains in this alleyway?"
"Some idiot came around earlier pretending to wanna join us, but da boss knew he wuz wit you do-gooders. So Jeremy knocked him out and took him to the cell with the others we is gonna sell off..."
"Tell me the location of this cell and the number of guards and remember..." Salty Joe points the tip of his rapier towards his groin, "You always have more to lose."
"I told you everything I know! In our hideout under the old manor, we have a handful of captives in a holding area. It's near the old crypts, and there are skeletons guarding it. You can't do worse to me than Glassstaff will if he catches me..."
