"Hooligans? Ne'er do wells tend to hang out near the docks or at the 'Empty Net', but i'd stay out of there. Even the town guard won't go in there. Redistribute? Boy, don't you be thieving. If the smugglers don't take your hand, you'll get hauled before the council. Simple theft is a fine but any kind of violence and you're in deep."
"Only what I overheard on the ship, I wasn't supposed to listen to them talking so I had to be careful, I only caught snippets of the conversation. We might want to ask around town, maybe someone knows something about the Sea Ghost"
Eavesdropping a bit, one of the locals pipes up. "I was down in the docks a week or two ago and overheard someone say the sea ghost is what is haunting the house. We don't much like talking about it though. Best to be left alone. The house has been abandoned for 20 some years, I say leave it"
Korik rips into his food and tries to pay attention to the conversation but he is hungry. He is is a bit feral in the consumption of his food but tries to remember to offer food to everyone sometimes after he has already bitten into it.
“Okay, okay, Lankus. I’ll ask the guards if they have any jobs.”
”You mentioned dwarves! I also spent time with dwarves! What sort of jobs do they have?”
Bouyed by the thought of new possible allies for the Loyalists, Lankus beams. "They're usually looking for more 'proven' sorts but you might be able to help. They just uncovered a new tunnel over at the mines, but it's definitely inhabited. They think it might be a Trogoldyte infestation. If yer interested, talk to Gerd over at the mines. Tell 'em Lankus sent ya! I get a bit of a finder's fee" he chuckles. Lankus smiles and nods along at the Dwarvish.
There are a few huff's and awkward glances around the room. One fellow, clearly a fisherman, outright walks out of the bar, flipping Lankus the bird. At this, Lankus realizes he may have gotten excited and gone too far. Speaking loud enough for all to hear: "Sorry folks, sorry. No partisan business while working. My apologies. I won't pretend to dislike the Dwarves or their interests but I aim to please and serve all of Saltmarsh. I don't want this place to become somewhere Traditionalists don't feel welcome. A round on me, as an apology"
“Saltmarsh has always relied on the bounties of the water,” Faun states calmly. “The newcomer dwarves are welcome to join us in this life.” She takes a look around the room, attempting to read the general mood.

There are a couple of eye rolls, but overall the sentiment seems well taken. Local tensions are high between the two factions underneath the surface but most know they need to accommodate each other.
Are there any hooligans in town? Pringles would like to ‘redistribute’ their wealth back to the good people in town ;)
OoC: Updated the map to reflect places you now know of

I also speak in dwarvish with other random small talk to Lankus to see if he can understand dwarvish.
Pringles suddenly bursts out laughing as he realizes that the guard tower is called HOOLwatch Tower

Can I get an insight check from Pringles?

That’s a natural 20, my bonus is +4
“What is a trogoldyte?”
Looks at Lankus, looks at the party. (Is it like a Trogdor?)

Do I know anything about Trogoldyte's?

Edit Post Roll:
I'm a bird, I don't like thinking about anything that lives in the ground.
Lankus is clearly trying to pretend he understands you, but he just smiled and nodded when you said "Dead puppies are the BEST" in Dwarven.
Pringles looks visibly sad at Faûn.
”M’lady Faûn, do you not like dwarves or is it specifically the dwarves here you do not like?”
Whoa! I think it’s a little out of character for Pringles to say that but I’ll roll with it because it could be funny lol.
Disclaimer: Pringles respects nature and cute puppies.

“Anything is better than a fishing boat!” says Eeek. ”I’m ready to get going as soon as Korik is finished his meal”.
Once Korik is done, he will want to go see Tommy.
