Gil would pull out his book and record the amount for the reward and the job details before nodding quickly... "Rescuing a girl from a dangerous cult without anyone knowing sounds kind of tricky... " Gil would say as he taps his quill to his mouth. "did the Bormuls send you with a y equipment to aid us in this task? Do you have any other information that can help?" Gil would ask with big eyes.
Darvin claps Tibi on the back. "I knew I decided to work with you for a reason! Infiltrating a cult, rescuing a rich girl, and getting paid for it? I can't imagine a job better suited to my talents."
Gaylen certainly looks relieved that you are willing to take on the mission.
"If we involved the Watch or the Flaming Fist then this unfortunate situation will be will known through the other patriar families. Word spreads. Hiring you means an independent third party is paid to keep things quiet. The others are good people and would accomplish the work but gossip festers in the lower ranks.
I have 500 gold as a down payment. I also have a letter of employment from the Bormuls for body guard work that will allow you entry into the Upper City so you may return the girl when you have retrieved her. Do this right and return the and you will be paid another 500 gold. As you are businessmen then you understand that your reputation carries weight. Additional contracts may be forthcoming and the Bormuls will speak well of you to other families in the Upper City."
Gaylen leaves a bag of gold with you as well as giving you instructions on where to find the building they believe the cult is using as it's base of operations.
"The Bormuls hope to see her returned by morning. There will be an additional bonus if she is back before dawn. Her name is Isma."
Following the directions given by Gaylen you make your way out into the Outer City. The streets are full of people The Outer City sprawls without rhyme or reason, its muddy streets a tangle of shanties, forges, tanneries, dye works, slaughterhouses, stables, stockyards, paddocks, and dung heaps. Its layout and architecture are a mess of unregulated construction and styles. Many buildings are made of wood or wattle.
Eventually your do find the warehouse in question. It is now getting dark and the area you find yourself is strangely empty. You are on the edge of the Outer City now and even the denizens of the Outer City seem to stay away from this area. The closest building to this one are burned down husks. Fog is also starting to drift in the the river and it is eerily quiet.
You carefully make your way around the building and see that the back and sides are all wall, no entrances.
"OK, so I think if we go knock on the door and explain that we need to take the girl back home because her parents are worried... we should be in and out in no time!" Gil would say excitedly to the others.
“Hang on before you do that let me have a look from up top.” Tibi says. He then moves some distance away from the. Warehouse and takes off. He flies in a large circle so it is not obvious which warehouse he is targeting.

Tibi flies around the area. He notices a strange thing. There is no one on foot for a couple blocks around the building. It's as if people avoid the area on purpose. But you get no strange feeling that makes you want to leave the area.
The lowest windows are only a few feet from the ground at a normal height. They look darkened somehow, perhaps painted black so you cannot see in.
"Well I think I am going to go up and say hello... Not sure why you guys are all being so worried. I am sure they are fine. Most people are pretty nice once you get to know them." Gil would say as he begins walking towards the front door.
"I like your moxie, Gil," Darvin says, clapping the verdan on the shoulder. "But I'm not sure just walking up and introducing ourselves is the way to go here. Our employer believes this girl is in danger, and I wouldn't think this cult is just going to invite us in and let us escort her away."
"Do you have any magic that might help us get inside unnoticed? There's no obvious back entrance, unfortunately. While Tibi does a bit of aerial reconnaissance, I think I'll equip myself to understand what others are saying."
While Tibi flies around, Darvin looks for a hidden spot where he can take a few minutes to cast comprehend languages as a ritual. (If no such location is available, he'll just cast it with an action using a spell slot)
Gil would sit on the ground and pull out his spell book. "Well.. I know the feather fall if Tibi wanted to try to drop us on the roof or something... or I know the Enlarge/Reduce and could make one of use very very small.. perhaps small enough to sneak under the door?" The verdan would say before closing the book and standing up. "If Tibi says there is a way in from the roof.. I also have a grappling hook and a rope could use to climb up there."
Gil would look back to the others and yell "Hey! The door is open!" The verdan would then pull out his [magic item]driftglobe[/magic item] and use it to light the area around hin as it floats over his shoulder. in one hand he would hold his staff and in the other he would hold his wand. "Anyone home? The door was open and we are looking for our friend?" Gil would ask as he moves through the doorway.
When Gil starts toward the front entrance, Darvin grimaces slightly, but then, seeing no other option, goes along. He shushes the Verdan as he starts to speak up. "Hang on, Gil, let's not draw unnecessary attention to ourselves," he whispers.
