After a second, she continues writing and speaks, “I write in my log of what events have transpired, read, and write lyrics, as I am doing right now. I do not mind waiting on my compatriots to get the full rest they need. "Yes." At that moment, Astra opens the door after hearing Nirzeg knocking on her door. She accepts her cut of the gems and hands Genevieve her cut. She thanks Nirzeg for the money he's given them, but she still feels uneasy when he smiles at them. "It's like he wants us to not trust him." She says to Genevieve, once Nirzeg is gone. "Well, we should probably go find Derrikoth, and see if he didn't have a cabbage-induced panic attack."

Xenophon: Topaz Dragonborn Fighter (ixi's Dragon of Icespire Peak)
"Don't worry, we can finish his burial soon. Until then, mind giving me just a few minutes with the corpse?"
The grave digger grunts and throws up his hands. "All very suspect, ain't proper," he grumbles as he ambles off to his house on the edge of the cemetery.
Alus will prop Othovir up against a nearby wall or grave so that he is in a comfortable seated position. Then he will light some incense and cast Speak With Dead Painful-sounding breath exudes from Othovir's corpse, and his unseeing eyes seem to somehow fix you with a stare.
Alus begins his questions.
"Hey man, I'm sorry to disturb you in your journey to the other side. Promise this will be quick. I just want to know if there's anything I can do to help secure your legacy here, on this plane. First question, who were you in life?"
Othovir's mouth moves, but his words sound as if they are driven by distant wind. "Othovir, harness-maker, I am," he says, sounding almost fearful.
"Who do you wish be notified of your passing?"
"Don't...want to die. No...family..."
"What unfinished business do you have?"
"My...shop. Needs funds to run. Need to procure...funds...from Silverymoon...
"Who else would know about this unfinished business?"
"No one. No family...no heir..."
"Who should I speak to in Silverymoon?"
"Don't speak...steal...from Margasters...carriage..." Othovir breathes again, a sharp, painful inhaling, and then his body is inanimate once more.
Alus waits a beat, pouring over the information he gathered while picking up a handful of dirt and letting in fall from his fingers. Then he smiles, stands up, dusts his hands off, and calls for the gravedigger, who he assists with interring Othovirs corpse.
Othovir, like the others, is buried in a simple grave with no headstone. The grave digger doesn't outright thank you for the assistance, but at least he's stopped grumbling.
Alus will pull a small piece of leather from the wrappings on his spear and lay it atop the grave. He will then catch up with the others.
The morning sun is hidden by an overcast sky as you set off, and the humid wind indeed threatens rain later in the day.
Laborers on the outlying farms are busily doing what work they can before the rains come, though a few of them recognize you as you pass down the Evermoor Way, and these will wave to you.
It’s not long before you pass the last farmstead and are making good progress down the wide cobblestone road, and by all accounts, you should reach Yartar in a matter of days.
Until then, you have some choices to make.
Do you wish to adopt a fast, medium, or slow pace?
Do you wish to camp outdoors at night, or find inns to sleep at? Neither decision will generally affect your travel time.
You travel through light rain on your first day out from Triboar, five days before Summer Solstice. Besides the dreariness and damp clothes, it's not too bad a trip. The rain is relatively warm when it comes, and you don't meet anyone else on the road. It seems that most travelers decided to stay indoors today. You find a quiet wayside inn a little over 20 miles from Triboar, where you join a halfling couple as the inn's only customers.
The next day, clear skies greet you as you gear up Boris for another day's journey towards Triboar.
But all is not well. Towards the middle of the afternoon, as you approach a small homestead, you are alarmed to come upon three blue-skinned frost giants! They are exiting a barn belonging to the homestead not 200 feet from you, with huge bags slung over their shoulders. You can hear panicked mooing from the bags. They do not immediately attack you, but glare at you menacingly with their red eyes, as if daring you to do anything, as they make good their raid.
Derrikoth turns back to the rest of the party as he slows his horse, coughing slightly before speaking quietly, “Ah, guys, I’m sure there’s no need for us to interfere here... right? The giants have already got what they wanted and it’d be bad for our current goal if we went for them.”
Alus' brow furrows as he eyes the frost giants. He addresses Derrikoth first.
"Listen man, my job is to watch over these lands and make sure the balance of nature is kept steady; and that includes the responsible farming of the earth and husbandry of the wildlife. These guys are messing with the balance, taking what isn't their's from these farmers. And I wouldn't be doing a solid job of preserving nature if I just ignored these animals in distress. Not cool."
He turns to the rest of the party.
"We are here to stop the giant problem, right? I'm no genius but this looks like a giant problem."
"And that sorta belief is why you should conserve-..." Nirzeg catches himself at the last moment. With a huff, he presses on a different track for Alus, "It is a 'symptom' of the giant problem, and /only/ because their being so particularly bold."Nirzeg chimes in, then turns to the others. "And personally, I've already done enough charity work to last a life time... THAT said, they may know of the giant we're looking for. In particular, what part of the mountain range he may reside in. A flimsy enough excuse, I know, but the only reason I would be so inclined in entangling with 'random scrap' by the wayside."
At some unspoken command Smart Zeek takes off into the sky, easily ascending 60ft into the air. "Either way, if any of you decide to be particularly bold, decide quick, bu please do not appear like trouble until you're well away from the cart. I'd very much like to avoid having a rock thrown this way, thank you very much."

// If you wish to do anything about these giants, post here, but otherwise I’ll assume you wish to leave them to their plundering. //
As the men discuss the situation at hand, Genevieve watches the giants closely, unsure if she should shoot off a magic spell to get this over with if there were any possibility that they could talk to the monstrosities to gather some information from them... Or follow them to where they resided. The construct gives a friendly wave to the frost giant who was watching them then turns to the others to add in her two copper. "Alus, I apologize, but I must agree with the lizard. We cannot take three of those... things at once, but maybe we could follow them? Or perhaps try to converse with the one left behind to collect some information?"
