The blood itself is not covered by the dust and the grime. However, as the trail becomes less obvious and the blood drops become more dispersed, the dust and the grime make it even harder to discern where the blood is, thus obscuring the trail.
Dreel once again takes the lead trying to determine where the blood trail leads. The dust is so heavy in the air, that he has hard time concentrating on the scent of the blood as he fights back the urge to sneeze.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
His porcine snout snorting occasionally, the huge Tortle kneels low, sniffing and keeping them on the trail as he grunts and gestures with one lightning clad arm to follow.
"I hope this path isn't much longer, I don't like this place one bit." Rutah says in a low voice. He stays behind Dreel the whole time, ready to jump to his defense were they to encounter something hostile.
Following the scent of the blood Dreel leads the group downwards along the sloped hall that curves in on itself, likely forming a full circle before it ends and opens up into a large cavern.
The group emerges onto a 15ft wide ledge that ends with a 50ft drop to the bottom of the cavern, where lies the ruins of what could have once been a city. With nothing but open space and smooth rock, the clicking sound echoes louder from somewhere below, but between the clicks everyone can hear another sound coming from the passage to the left of them – claws scraping against stone and what seems to be a hushed female voice.
Right from where the group emerged are the remanence of some sort of metal construction, partially hanging over the ledge. To the left the ledge ends, but the smoothed stone passage continues away from the cavern. The sent of blood Dreel had been following lingers along the passage and seems to be coming from the same direction as the sound of scraping claws and the hushed whispering. A quick look along the passage reveals a creature walking along it some distance away. 3ft tall and 3ft wide, it is walking away from where the group is. Its tail and back are scaly, covered in natural plates of armour while the rest of its body is covered in fur. Small wings are tucked close to its body and its back legs are hooved.
Jaylen and Ignus
While too disrupted and quiet to understand, Jaylen and Ignus recognise the whispering of the female voice speaking in draconic.
"What.. is this place?" Ruth is fascinated yet concerned, "Do you think they will be friendly enough to speak to us instead of fighting us?" He keeps his voice low as to not draw unwanted attention. Ruth remains as hidden as he can and tries his best to focus on the strange creature.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ignus watches the creature for a bit, then turns to his traveling companions. "I can cast invisibility on myself or on one of you, so that we can at least gather some more information on this noise - and the draconic mutterings - coming from that passage." He gestures toward the creature. "I don't see a reason to start another fight with an unknown beast unless totally necessary."
He turns again, to study not only the creature but the remnants of the city below them.
(OOC: @Ignus, that would be perception check for both, or history for the ruins and nature for the creature depending what you are trying to do. – if you want to do two different checks can you roll again for one of them – you can keep the 17 for the other. @Dreel, you have just under 2 minutes left on the transformation. @Everyone, I’ll try to get a post up by tomorrow. Really sorry about the delays!)
"I think invisibility is a fine plan. I speak Draconic so I could go, but I am not particularly stealthy. If someone who speaks Draconic and is more skilled in subtlety than, I would suggest them instead."
Clipclop: (to the party[telepathically]) "If i can, i would like to see through your eyes and hear through your ears while you scout ahead, Ignus. I can warn the rest of the group if you get into danger while scouting."
(OOC: i plan on using Gaze of Two Minds , in hopes that i could help or do some perception checks during the scouting or warn the party if there is some sort of danger.)

"A good plan, Clipclop," Ignus closes his eyes. Embers begin to form on his skin, but instead of igniting anything, they smolder and a dark smoke begins to conceal his presence. When it dissipates a moment later, Ignus is gone. "How do I look?" The wizard grins to himself.
I'll wait for nature/history checks before moving toward the creature and the Draconic mutterings.
The creature is moving slowly away from the group. As it walks it favours its left front leg, while dragging its right front leg slowly with every step. The claws dragged over the stone floor cause the scratching sound to fill the hall with its every step.
It stops suddenly only for a short moment, but in that moment, it lifts its head.. or maybe heads. All the group sees are two pairs of short horns peaking over the creature’s shoulders and folded wings. One pair is smooth and straight, slightly off-white, the other pair is rough, dark grey-almost black, and the tips are curved downwards. The words in draconic come slightly clearer this time. Almost like a hiss, or an order. Jaylen and Ignus can understand some of what is said. “Turn. Go back.” The creature's form shakes a little, its wings move slightly, then the horns once again disappear below its back and wings. It starts once again walking away from the group, slowly, dragging its right front leg and scraping its claws over the cold stone floor.
(Note on the creature: the scales on its tail and back are much the same colour as the curved horns, dark grey-almost black and the fur covering its back lags is dark brown with little white marks all over.)
Clipclop
Clipclop doesn’t sense any magic nearby. The passage in front of him and the creature walking along it, as well as the many rooms adjacent to the passage, don’t seem to have anything magical about them. While the ruins below are too far for Clipclop to sense anything.
Ignus
Staring at the creature, Ignus quickly draws similarities with something he had read in his studies. A creature made through magic and combining of multiple species – goat, lion, dragon – a chimera as it was called. He never imagined a creature like that would have the gift of speech, though.
The ruins below are unfamiliar to Ignus. The structures are old and there are no modern structures built in a similar way. He had heard of ancient kingdoms that had fallen, but could this really be one of them?
(OOC: @Jaylen, ritual casting takes 10 min, right? I don't know if it will take Ignus that long to do what he wants. But you are free to do it in case it does!)
(OOC: Yes, ritual cast is 10 minutes. Invisibility lasts an hour unless he breaks it. So if he is visible before the ritual is done, I will drop it and we can move on. But if he still remains invisible I will proceed until it is done. Gotta keep an eye on my boy to keep him safe. 😉)
Rutha whispers to those still with him, "This place is intimidating. What are we here for again? A glass globe, with a stone in the center of it?" He looks about, observing this strange new creature from afar. "At the very least, this one doesn't seem as aggressive as those dogs. And appears wounded, perhaps by those same dogs?"

I'll keep the 17 and add my 3 for a 20 on my nature check to study the creature.
I'll also do a history check on the ruins: 18

Jaylen will begin ritual casting detect magic so he can at least see the aura of illusion magic on Ignus to keep track of his presence.
