Mundak calls down to the rest of the group. "Oh wow, it looks like a light just turned on up here! All I did was open the door and it automatically happened."
"I assume nothing. It just seems odd to me...if a key is important enough to hide, wouldn't you remember what it opens? I would only suggest we proceed with caution. We do not know what traps or surprises Rindal has prepared for intruders." Tine turns as he notices Mundak opening the other door.
As Mundak turns the corner leading to the next floor he faces a large room with a heavily reinforced iron door opposite him. In each of the four corners of this room sit braziers filled with dancing flames. Between them two large stone statues facing the center of the room. And in the center of the room, one large metal construct. A shield guardian.
Everyone roll initiative.
Shield Guardian Initiative: 10
OOC: Mundak, you are at the top of the stairs. Tine, you're at the base of the stairs. Vosnin and Velten, you are in the bedroom. I'll be adding a map to this post in a minute.
After hearing Mundak call out Velten slowly made his way to him. From the stairs he could hear the sounds of metal, it didn't sound good either. He rushes up to meet Mundak in the room at the top of the stairs.
Mundak clasps his holy symbol as he casts Spiritual Weapon, swinging the image of a jagged axe at the Shield Guardian. As he steps forward to give his companions some room, he also casts Sacred Flame at the creature.
Action: Sacred Flame - DC 15 dex save or 10 radiant damage
Bonus action: Spiritual Weapon (placed at D5) - Attack: 23 Damage: 7 force damage
As Mundak summons a radiant axe, it slashes into the Shield Guardian leaving a gash on its heavy plating. Then a column of bright light engulfs the construct and burns it with radiant light, spectral flames dancing on its plated armor. Still, the Shield Guardian's runes glow brighter and release a wave of energy out from in front of it. The energy passes through Velten, who is left wide eyed and pale. The towering construct looks ready to swipe at the floating weapon, but the runes that were on it's metallic surface have all dissipated.
Velten, as the energy from the spell hits you, you grow suddenly aware of just how big this construct truly is, the thought of how easily it could tear you limb from limb can't be erased from your mind. All you can think of doing is running away as fast as you can before that becomes your fate.
Velten can roll a new save once they end their turn out of line of sight of the Shield Guardian but you must use your action to dash as far as you can next turn.
Hearing the fight begin, Tine rushes up the stairs to meet his companions. He pauses only for a moment as he comes into view of the formidable construct. Focusing, he clasps his hands together for a moment and then pushes outward, casting Mind Spike (2nd level).
The guardian must make a DC16 Wisdom Saving Throw or suffer 13

You see as a few sparks come out of vent holes in the headpiece of the Shield Guardian but otherwise it looks unscathed. (He took half damage from the successful save)
