An hour later, without seeing anyone else leave, you are called through to see Jobal. He is sitting at a fancy desk with another man standing behind him in dark clothes. As you enter he folds his hands infront of him and stares at you all for a minute before speaking (any attempt to speak before this is met with a raised eyebrow and a hand up to stop). When he finally speaks, "Well, you don't look local. Have you come to the great Merchant Prince Jobal for a guide by any chance?"

"Good. I see you are intelligent to come to me for that. It might help you in the jungle." He turns to the man behind him "Aazon, take them to see those that are in the city"
Glimra warms most to the two women, and even more so to the one with the head wrap and awesome earrings.....she will hint very strongly to the others that this is the guide she prefers.
Chazrael follows Glimra's suggestion and nods. "What you do with your gold is not any of our business. I'm not big on charities. Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Don't give a man a fish and you feed yourself. He's a grown man, fishing is not that hard." He stops, realizing he might make his companions a bit uncomfortable with his last statement. "However, I do like the idea of having someone who will not come at us with a blade at our throats. She has my vote."

(I forgot to do a recruitment anyway Akana has no character in the campaign either so will replace them. I will set a recruitment thread up during lunch)
After being taken to see/speak to each of those guides you make your way back to Eku (names aren't on those cards but she would have given it). As you approach she recognises you and smiles, before turning over her shoulder and shouting at a Lizardfolk you see walking away, "Excuse me scaled fellow, I never caught your name. But those people you were looking for have returned"

"The name is Thrash" The Green scaled lizardfolk would hiss as he turns and walks towards the group. The lizardfolk is wearing what appears to be leather armor crafted from the bone and hide of a variety of creatures. Although somewhat simple looking, it appears to have been very well crafted and seems to be quite sturdy. The rapier on his belt appears to be a long and narrow bone or perhaps a huge fang.. polished and sharpened to a razor sharp blade and point with a handle of wood and stone. The blood orange frills running along the top of his head would raise slowly as he locks eyes with each of the group. The creature would tilt its head slightly as he appears to size up each of you in a way where you cannot decide if he is thinking about how you would taste, or how well you fight. After a few long seconds he would continue. "Syndra Silvane hired me to watch yer asses... " The lizardfolk would say flatly as he crosses his thick scaly arms in front of his chest. You get the impression that although his armor is very well crafted, it is probably completely unneeded and provides less protection then his thick scales. "I am going with ya. I've been hunting every dangerous creature I can since I have been here in Chult, collecting materials for my craft" He would say gesturing to his equipment. ". Whatever creature is behind this death curse will make me a nice set of boots." The lizardfolk finish flatly and without emotion. After listening to the lizardfolk speak and seeing the way he carries himself, and even the way his weapons and armor are constructed.. you get the impression that the lizardfolk has spent a great deal of time around dwarfs...
Chazrael turns to his companions. "I can wait here and save our spot if anyone else wants to explore."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Glimra put her feet up, " If Chazraels keeping watch I'm grabbing some bunk time."
She pulled her wrap down over her face and went to sleep.

After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
Chazrael nods, unsure how much he wants to reveal. "Yes, we seek a guide to help us with a mission of sorts."

Yesqirelle fades towards the back of the group, content with the more socially confident party members leading the negotiations.

(Somehow missed the notification for this.)
Yesqirelle has no opinion on which guide to choose. She dislikes them all equally.

Yesqirelle pulls her hood even tighter at that, and tenses slightly. She says nothing.

Chazrael walks over to Eku and nods. "All I ask is you do your job and we will ours, and we should get along fine."

(Chazrael addressed Eku not Thrash, unless Thrash thought it was to him)
