I was inspired by a few others that I'd like to maybe have on as "guest" posters for shorter arcs, if anyone is actually interested in that. I know it sounds strange for a PBP but I want to see the pace that we can keep at 4 players first before I introduce another PC.
Nads, I haven't gotten around to filling out my background, been too busy trying to work out the mechanics of using an astral planar shift to facilitate a caesarian-style birth. My cut n paste doesn't deserve a slot on the bench but if you're doing a drop in drop out Guild Dogs kind of thing I'd love to hang around and watch.
Looking for 1-2 people to join this campaign. We're only at level 2, so it would be easy to catch up if you wanted to - or we can work to insert you into a situation where you wouldn't have to have a clue what was going on. :)

Name: Effort
Race: Tiefling
Class: Warlock
Background:
Quiet and withdrawn, civilization has taught Effort that she's better off without it. Still, settlements were still her best bet of obtaining the creature comforts that all living beings needed - food, shelter, and safety in numbers. At least arguably, that was so - the truth often varies for tieflings like Effort, and usually for the worse. With her long curving horns and whip-like tail, it's hard to deny her Asmodean roots and avoid the prejudice and suspicion that comes bundled with them. Effort isn't sure where she was born, or where she'll die - all she knows is the life she's lived from day to day, wandering, struggling, and trying to survive. And she would do anything to survive, going so far as to make a pact with a darker power to ensure her own continued existence. This pact has given her access to abilites great enough to defend herself in a world that wants people like her to simply cease to exist, but Effort knows that all bargains come with their prices... and she's not sure what will happen when her patron comes calling to collect his due.

Priest was abandon 5 years ago on the steps of an old church. His name was given by a priest who thought it was fitting for the child, knowing that tieflings usually took a name that meant something for their lives and hopefully would keep the child from following his abyssal heritage.
As Priest grew up he worked hard to train and follow the expectations placed on them. He tried hard to adhere to the rules and keep in line, but could always sense the mistrust of those around him because of bias placed on him. He eventually found himself separated from the only real family he had come to know and unlike the church he grew up in he found himself in a very hateful place that eventually kicked him out. He found himself working with those who made poor choices learning to sympathize with them and even committing crimes with them.
It wasn’t until he found himself in prison that he would find his chance at salvation from a priest that regularly visited the prison. As he listened and learned about the goddess Serenrae he slowly began to pray to her for redemption, learning her scriptures and the stories of her chosen heroes. When he was finally released he began to spend time with the priest at his chapel, helping him and training to be a cleric for the goddess.
Name: Doldrur Stoneseeker Race: Deep Gnome Class: Ranger (Intention of going into Gloomstalker) Backstory: Outlander
Doldrur is a small, reserved Svirfneblin. He grew up in a small Svirfneblin village in the under dark before it was destroyed by Drow slavers. Doldrur then spent a year surviving the under dark and slowly learning survival skills. He learned how to scout, forage, sneak, and live without access to civilization's luxuries. Eventually he made his way to the surface world. It took time to get used to it but he adapted and was able to sell his services to those willing to pay as a scout.
Personality: Doldrur comes off as grumpy but he really has a heart of gold. He only knows a little bit of common so his use of language is quite... imaginative.
Ooo, made it just in time! I'll add spoiler tags to the backstory and color to stats as soon as I can. It's not cooperating with me on mobile...
*Edit for for rolled stats. I didn't know the forms had a roller. Neat!
Name: Ham-ton
Race: Orc
Class: Knowlege Cleric
Background:
Born to a wandering tribe of Orcs, Ham-ton was just as savage and dimwitted as the majority of his race. That was until the day his people raided the wagon of a traveling merchant, his cart filled to the brim with books, tomes, and encyclopedias.
While disappointed with the lack of anything to eat or drink at first, Ham-ton found himself fascinated by the enormous collection of knowlege (not that he could read any of it). Hiding the books with the prettiest pictures away from the bonfires of his tribe, Ham-ton poured over the pages every night, trying and failing to make sense of the "tiny scribbles" that filled them. It drove him mad with curiosity.
It was during one these nights, as he nodded off with a book as a pillow, that Ham-ton had a strange dream. He found himself in a room, filled wall to wall with hundreds and hundreds of books. In the center of it all stood a remarkably old Orc, a pair of rounded spectacles perched at the end of his stout nose.
The elder Orc told Ham-ton that he would teach Ham-ton how to read the scribbles, and that with that knowledge, he would teach him so much more. All Ham-ton had to do was help him find his missing library.
Ham-ton agreed egarly, and when he awoke, he found an amulet woven from twigs and grass clutched in his hands, shaped like an orb with lines radiating from the center.
Although he did not know it, Ham-ton had become a follower of a god of Knowledge. He set out at once, a book in one hand, a club in the other, and the symbol of St.Cuthburt over his chest, in search of his elder's missing "Likeberry"...

Drow Half-Elf
Assassin Rogue/Whispers Bard
Back story: Daius is a half-elf from drow heritage who had been abandoned. Growing up as a street urchin shunned by the city he was born he found work and trained to be an assasin working for a group under the cover of being traveling performers. A job went wrong and his troupe vanished. He is hunting down leads to find his mentor who was a father figure to him. His mentor uses Daius and its hard to say if the relationship is one of convenience or one where he generally cares for Daius.
Apologies - I've contacted the accepted players.
