As blood sprays from the cut, Percival staggers back and lets out a defeated grunt. The captain continues spinning, though, bringing his scimitar up and back down on Brask. Attack: 19 Damage: 7 The minotaur is ready for it, though, and turns his head as the blade glances off one of his large horns.
As the scimitar is deflecting off the horn, the captain lunges simultaneously with his dagger. Attack: 23 Damage: 6 Brask turns just as the curved blade misses his abdomen. The captain smiles. "Not bad, but it won't be enough."
Cynder, you're up. If you walk around the embankment to the west, it'll take a dash action. You can also climb up the side using your climbing speed and be right in the action.

Dropping his hammer back into its holster, his hand scrunches up into a fist. Burik mutters a few words and a black mist hangs around the fist. He punches forward at the Captain, releasing the stored energy as he does so.
The magic missiles explode in four small bursts against the captain's chest and arms. He lets out a small grunt but barely winces as he looks down the embankment at Cynder, the former feline captive. "Son of a *****." He turns to the man holding the crossbow. "Get that one back, dead or alive."
Burik's attack connects as well, but it doesn't seem to do much. He almost shrugs it off.
The crossbow bolt rockets through the air at Cynder... Attack: 17 Damage: 8 ...and slams harshly into his side as he grabs at the wound.

One of the scimitar-wielding bandits joins the captain in attacking Brask. He swings his blade down in a diagonal at the minotaur. Attack: 8 Damage: 6
You may or may not have noticed that the second scimitar-wielding bandit has been hanging toward the back of the pack, looking unsure of himself. Finally, as he sees the blade connect and cut through Brask's hide, he charges forward. As he lets out a visceral yell, he swings his scimitar...at the other bandit!

He jumps back at the last moment and the swing misses. He looks surprise, but the captain just lets out a huff and furrows his brow. "Dirty traitor. You won't have it as easy as the rest of these fools."

Brask pays little attention to the shifting allegiances around him; he focuses on the bandit who has just hit him, roars with fury and attempts to retaliate with his maul swinging:

Percival seems to use the last of his energy to dodge the attack, but the hulking bandit simply pivots as he spins the blade back up. Attack: 8 Damage: 4
Dodging again, Percival stumbles back a bit. This only seems to anger the captain even more, as he lunges out with the dagger in his left hand. Attack: 12 Damage: 7
Percival's eyes grow wide as the dagger's blade sticks into his side. The captain holds it there for a moment, half-smiling, half-snarling, and pushes Percival back. He lands on the ground with a thud.
Cynder does his best to apply pressure to wound to minimize the bleeding as he limps away to get behind some cover. He peeks out to cast 'Fire Bolt' at the captain before lowering himself behind cover.

The seemingly traitorous bandit continues attacking the captain. He brings down his scimitar... Attack: 22 Damage: 2 ...and the captain pulls up his own blade to parry the attack (reaction). He grunts and snarls at his former companion.

Brask, you're up. The captain is still right next to you. The crossbow bandit is behind a tree and any ranged attacks will have disadvantage, but you can use your movement to get up next to him.
Also, there is something seriously messed up with the forum's editing right now, and it's rerolling the dice each time I edit. I'll just make separate posts in the future. Cynder used his shield, the captain used his parry reaction, and Percival failed his death save.
(The damage die were originally 2 and 5. By the 'Great Weapon Master' feat, I get to re-roll 1s and 2s on damage dice, so I re-rolled the 2 and got.... another 2. So no change, the total damage is 11)
