Burik will move as quietly as he can up the hill to the SE to get a good look down on the voices. He wordlessly signals the others to stay quiet and that he's going for a look.
Burik moves around to the east to try and gain a better vantage point. He stays low, and eventually starts crawling through the grass and leaves to get to the edge. As he readies himself to peer over, his final forearm into the earth clangs against a stone, sending it tumbling over the side and into the camp below. Before he can get a look at anything, he hears a deep voice call out. "You two, go check that out." Burik hears them start to approach from the east, rounding the bend...
Burik will mouth a dwarven curse, shake his head towards the others, and slowly pull back slightly from the edge. He brings his shield up, entering a defensive stance while his free hand begins to make shapes in the air. His hand becomes more skeletal as he continues to weave magic into the spell.
(holding Chill Touch, releasing on hostile/aggressive action.)
A few moments later two men wearing dark garb round the corner. Each has a stark black circle on their sleeves and brandishes a scimitar. One has a light brown beard that looks to be a few days old, with sandy colored hair. The other is younger, maybe in his late teens, and wears a long brown ponytail. The elder spots Burik first. He stops dead in his tracks, not expecting to find anyone up on the hill. "HEY!" He fumbles for what to say or do next. "Stop right there!"
Upon him yelling this, Burik hears commotion coming from down below. "Aw, shit." Burik can't tell how many, but there's about to be more of these bandits to deal with. As they seem to be grabbing their weapons, he hears another voice call out from below. "Hey! Who's up there? Get me out of here!!"
Everyone, roll initiative. Burik, because you had the tactical advantage by being up on the hill (even though your stealth was awful), you can cast Chill Touch as a surprise round only if you wish.
As the necrotic hand grasps him, he keels over in obvious pain. He steadies himself though, looking up angrily at Burik. He raises his scimitar and runs at him...
Attack: 16 Damage: 4
His counterpart joins the fray, also swinging down on Burik.
Attack: 9 Damage: 6
As this is going on, the Tabaxi prisoner on the edge of the camp realizes this might be his best chance at escape. He's contained within a small but sturdy wooden cage. A small metal lock holds the door shut. Cynder, you're up.
Cynder casts Fire Bolt towards the lock, hoping to destroy either the wood or the lock. If that doesn't work he will look towards the bandits to see if he can spot any keys for the lock. If he manages to break out, he will use his movement to run 20ft in the opposite direction of the bandits.
Cynder, the fire bolt doesn't break the lock but as it strikes you hear some of the wood start to snap. With a few swift kicks you break open one of the bars and free yourself. As you start to run in the other direction (west), you look up the embankment to see a giant minotaur and a human heading in the direction of whatever fight is taking place.
---
Burik, wincing in pain, swings his hammer and strikes the bandit hard. He's even lifted off the ground for a split second, but then lands on his back motionless. The second bandit looks startled by this. Not expecting such a serious fight, he looks back over his shoulder.
Percival runs up to join Burik and sends an Eldritch Blast toward the second bandit. Attack: 18 Damage: 7
It strikes him on the shoulder and sends him staggering back. He lets out a cry as he grabs the wound.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
You were about 30 feet away, so within range.
Brask steps in front of his traveling companions without hesitation and swings his maul down on the second bandit. The sound of bone being crushed echoes out as the weapon connects. Two dead bandits lay at your feet, but as you look up four more are reaching the crest of the hill. Two with scimitars, one with a crossbow, and one holding a scimitar in one hand and a long, curved dagger in the other. He stands taller than all the others, wearing studded leather and a black cape that flaps behind him as he climbs the hill. Dark mutton chops adorn his face.

Brask nods and crouches in the thicket of bushes, watching Burik and keeping as silent as he can.
Burik, give me a stealth check.

OOC: Are you rolling with disadvantage for a reason? If not, roll again. If so, we'll go with the 2.

Brask jogs up. If he is within range, he will make an attack on the second bandit in an attempt to bring him down:
Attack: 22 Damage: 8.
If he's not within range, he's use a dash to get to where the fun is, and get ready to attack next round.
