OOC: Yup, this is a standard battle map. The Spiders dashed towards you, and you all needed to get closer to strike at them too, so they closed the distance quite quickly.
Ferdinands hurls two more icy projectiles at the closer target for 10 and 12 piercing damage (half when succeeding on dc14 dex save) and two more arcane blasts at the same target.
attack 1: 8 for 9 force damage
attack 2: 20 for 11 force damage
he stays where he is, bracing himself for the melee that is about to ensue.
Gedyr moves with lightning quickness, dashing across the field right into melee with the first spider creature....while doing so he sheaths the Scimitar, and calls forth the light of the [weapon]Sun Blade[[/weapon] and a bright light shines forth as a beam of light appears from the hilt. He strikes at the closest beast on his approach.
Bonus Action to activate [weapon]Sun Blade[[/weapon] the 80 ft movement assuming diagonals are counted as 5' puts him at G7 (bladesong and haste). The bright light counts as daylight in a 15' radius meaning that any creature with daylight sensitivity is at disadvantage in the attack (not sure if these things are like drow in that regard). In case he can't make it that far ignore the third attack and he will use the haste bonus action to dash and get the extra movement.
Dihek'nir's projectile hits the Blue-haired Drider (a race he recognizes from his long travels), dealing it 3 damage.
One of Ferdinand's projectiles is way off the target, but the other, as well as the strange flying ice-balls, hit the same target, who attempts to mitigate the blow - DEX Save - 7
However, it is entirely unsuccessful, catching them all squarely with its face, and being dealt a total of 33 damage.
Bala lets loose his arrow, which does hit its target, but is repelled by the Drider's armor with an audible Clunk.
Finally, Gedyr goes on the offensive, charging the Blue Drider, activating his new Sunblade and striking the target thrice. The Drider clearly did not anticipate such a turn of events, so is not ready to defend himself and, as a result, all three blows land successfully, dealing it a further 36 damage (Since attack 2 was a crit, I am doubling the 11 rolled damage on it, instead of rerolling).
After the party's attacks, the White Drider has been dealt 30 damage, while the Blue Drider has taken a punishment and has lost a grand total of 102 HP.
Having some time to recuperate, it is the enemies' turn. The Blue Drider is the first to act. It, predictably, focuses on Gedyr, Striking him twice with its Sword and, then, attempting to bite the elf.
Sword Strike 1: 28, Damage, if hit: 16
Sword Strike 2: 10, Damage, if hit: 11
Bite: 29, Damage, if hit: 4 Slashing Damage, plus 12 Poison Damage
At the Same, time, the White Drider pulls out a Longbow from its back, puts in a number of Arrows and looses them at the rest of the party, who are all quite close to each other, so can be targeted simultaneously.
Attack against Bazhak - 18, Damage, if hit: 8
Attack against Dihek'nir - 17, Damage, if hit: 8
Attack against Bala - 10, Damage, if hit: 11
Attack against Ferdinand - 26, Damage, if hit: 14
The situation on the battlefield has barely changed, with only Gedyr having moved to G7. Here's the placement before round 2:
It is your turn to act now.
OOC: Holy Cr*p, that bite attack! That is going to hurt!
So, Gedyr has been dealt a whopping 48 damage, which would make him unconscious. I am not sure if he has any reactions or abilities that would change this. If so, please tell me. Otherwise, I am knocking him out.
Ferdinand sees gedyr going down and turns to Bazhak: „how about we go and whack those fools?“ he then charges forward using his action to dash to m8. On the way he uses his bonus action to cast hexblades curse on the closer creature
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dihek'nir sighs, runs closer 30ft and casts Healing Word on Gedyr for 5 health as bonus action.
He then takes a closer look at the blue-haired drider and says, "You murderous pig-headed blighter", casting Vicious Mockery for 4 damage and hopefully disadvantage on next attack.
(The sunlight from the Blade did not put him at disadvantage I take it.....)
No help here, Shield puts his AC to 26, and both those hits are gonna bust through that....Absorb elements doesn't cover poison....
Gedyr pops back up due to the Healing Word, however I believe he will still be innactive as his Haste went down when he did. I assume he will be prone but concious at the spiders feat.
OOC: Yup, they have no sunlight sensitivity or something like that. Also, we are not really doing sequential initiative between party members, so since Dihek'nir healed Gedyr already, Gedyr can act for this round, as he is healed and on 5 HP, while the negative effects of Haste, as I understand, disappear due to being knocked unconscious.
Gedyr does manage to get up, thanks to Dihek'nir's healing, and manages to land a strike against the Blue Drider, dealing 15 damage.
Meanwhile, Bazhak runs towards the blue Drider, stopping at M9 and dealing it another 9 damage.
Ferdinand mutters a curse at the Blue Drider, and a Bluish-Whitish magical link appears between them for a second. Once again, this is very strange and none of you have ever seen Ferdinand use anything even remotely like this spell.
Bala's arrow is way off-course, hitting a shrub dozens of feet away. (OOC: O4 is unnavigable, as it is a tree, so Bala is placed on O5).
Finally, it is the Dihek'nir, who tries to hurt the spider-man's feelings, by insulting it. This would, ordinarily, be inconsequential, but the severely wounded Drider is angered, and, considering the humongously bad state his body is in, this likely leads to a ruptured blood vessel or something like that, as the Drider clutches its chest and collapses, almost falling on top of Gedyr. With the Drider dead, the link between it and Ferdinand disappears, seemingly healing your friend.
With its partner dying in such a silly manner, the White Drider is furious, taking aim with its longbow against Dihek'nir and letting loose four arrows one after the other.
Attack 1 - 20, Damage, if hit - 13
Attack 2 - 11, Damage, if hit - 13
Attack 3 - 23, Damage, if hit - 13
Attack 4 - 20, Damage, if hit - 11
So far, the White Drider has only taken the initial 30 damage. This is the positioning after the Drider has acted:
Now that the cursed drider is dead, ferdinand regains 9 hit points.
ferdinand goes full speed again by dashing towards the last drider. He goes right besides the drider. On the way he lets loose the last ice-chunks for 15 and 8 piercing damage, half when succeedingon a dc14 dex save.
edit: ferdinand does not dash. He moves as close as possible though. After he throws the ice-chunks, he casts invisibility (3rd level) on himself and gedyr
Gedyr will shake his head, point at the remaining Spider creature, and utter some arcane high Elvish "Á tule náres" as bolts of fire head towards it. He then attempts to run behind a nearby tree...
Ferdinand's ice chunks hit the Drider in the chest, dealing 23 damage.
Gedyr's strikes are equally as successful, all three of them landing and dealing 20 damage.
Bala is luckier than he was before as well, with a projectile let loose by him impacting the Drider and dealing a further 5 damage.
Meanwhile, Bazhak gets the closest to the Drider and shouts at it to get its attention, as well as taking a dodge action.
The Drider has, so far, taken a total of 78 damage. It clearly fails to realize, that Bazhak is focused on defending, so lets loose the barrage of arrows at the half orc.
Attack 1 - 22 or 26, whichever is lower, Damage, if hit - 7
Attack 2 - 23 or 11, whichever is lower, Damage, if hit - 11
Attack 3 - 15 or 12, whichever is lower, Damage, if hit - 10
Attack 4 - 9 or 17, whichever is lower, Damage, if hit - 12
This is the positioning after the Drider strikes at Bazhak:
Ferdinand moves within 5ft of the drider and reappers. He the summons a glaive to his hands, the blade with a slight shimmer as it it was covered with a thin layer of frost. He attacks twice.
attack 1: 24 or 17 (i think he has advantage since he is invisible) for 8 slashing damage (magical)
attack 2: 23for 7 slashing damage (magical)
if he does not gain advantage from being invisible, he will move behind the drider to gain advantage from flanking.
Dihek'nir crawls a bit to the right, sees the drider still fighting and yells at it, "You turgid bloodless slate-carving troll-spawn!" (for 4 damage against 14 wis save. Hopefully disadvantage on next attack roll)
He then scoots back to the protective cover of the tree.
Gedyr turns the corner from the cover behind the tree and again let's loose an attack, "Á tule náres" however this time drawing on deeper wells of power. He will then take cover again behind the tree.
OOC: Yup, this is a standard battle map. The Spiders dashed towards you, and you all needed to get closer to strike at them too, so they closed the distance quite quickly.

Bala will stay where he is and take a shot at the closest target.
Attack: 14 Damage: 7

three attacks with haste

Bala will use feline agility to double his movement, moving to O4 and taking a shot at the White Drider.
Attack: 8 Damage: 4
(God ******* damn it)
Bala will use Cunning action as a bonus to hide under the tree.
Stealth: 22
Dihek'nir sighs, runs closer 30ft and casts Healing Word on Gedyr for 5 health as bonus action.

Scorching Ray at second level
Attack: 15 Damage: 9
Attack: 20 Damage: 7
Attack: 22 Damage: 4
Will run to D3 and hide behind the tree.
Bala will reload, move to J4 and take a shot.
Attack: 7 Damage: 4
Dihek'nir is so surprised by his insult working that he forgets to not be a stationary target. And gets punished by it.
So he runs to hide behind a nearby tree (J12) and drops prone behind it, figuring out his next move for the next turn.
Ferdinand's ice chunks hit the Drider in the chest, dealing 23 damage.
