„I‘d say we found in fact the third one. You must know that we are not from this world, but stranded here, 4dayss ago. But i can assure you that the beacon is in good hands.“
Dihek'nir too, like Ferdinand, remembers, that the item Wilhelm threw at them looked exactly like the descrption of the Beacon. Whatever the Beacon is, another one exactly like it is currently in Captain Aella's possession.
The Monk, hearing Ferdinand's words, pales and barks at him: "What? The one that was thrown off the world is back? That cannot be! We are all in great peril, then! No one must know of this!"
The Monk is taken aback, then nods: "While we are supposed to be safe here, that is indeed a good suggestion, thank you for it... Now, the need to retrieve the Beacon has increased tenfold over this revelation, so, if you do not mind, I will do my utmost, so that the Baron cannot use the stolen item, hence, winning you some time to somehow retrieve it. I will bid you farewell, unless you have any questions. And, I hope, you have decided over your next destination, as time is, as they say, of the essence".
"Well if we are in the middle of town, you have higher chances of picking up a signal from the start. But i would like to have a look at the entire town. Get a lay of the land, you know."
Gedyr will ask the monk another question before we leave. "These beacons...are they associated with an Enemy. Some power that would try to capture and use them? "
"I would not know, but I assumed he would want it close, so my guess is the Thornhall, which is very much in the middle of the town".
Then, responding to Gedyr:
"So, they're not really associated with anyone specific. The followers of Light made it a very, very long time ago, they hold part of its essence and that makes them really powerful. We also know, that, in the beginning, they were meant to be used together, though their original purpose was lost to time, or, possibly, deliberately erased from history. All we know is, that the Church deliberately separated them and hurled one off the world, so they would never be together again. So, there is this huge danger associated with them. Whatever reason the Baron, the Duke or the Hellkin, whoever he is, might want them for, it cannot be a good one, so I hope you stop them. Please, hurry up",
Having sent out the Hawk, through its eyes Gedyr can see, that the map provided by brother Girael is quite accurate. Thornhall is slightly bigger than on the map, and it has several guardsmen surrounding it, the only place in the town where the guardsmen indeed seem on alert. Beyond the Thornhall, the Hawk also spots a large market, where a coupe of hundred people seem to be milling about. When returning to Gedyr, the Hawks also sees, that in the same district as Girael's home, there seems to be a large blacksmith's shop, which, considering the line outside, might be worth visiting. Finally, there seems to be an army barracks in the town, near the wall, something likely to be avoided.
Dihek'nir will cast Locate Object as they're close to Thornhall and circle around. If it does register, he'll try to triangulate the position, otherwise he's just looking to extend the 10 minutes to cover more ground.
Dihek'nir, after casting the spell, does not register the Beacon of Light at all. Therefore, he tries again, and again, before, when he is standing to the west of the Thornhall, for a fleeting moment, he manages to feel the Beacon's presence, exactly to the west of him. The Beacon is clearly not within Thornhall.
Dihek'nir says to Ferdinand, "Lets check out the west side of the city as well, I have a good feeling about it. Like something really cool must be within a thousand feet of us directly west!"
While looking for where the Beacon should be, the party moves more westward, before, finally, reaching a strange building. It is a perfectly circular tower, made of white marble and glass, as well as green jade roofing. The top is narrower than the bottom half. Going around it, the party cannot find an entrance, as there seems to be no door. The windows are also not transparent. It looks pretty much like it was portrayed on the map, with the writing beneath saying "Mithraeum of the Spring Harvest". That does not tell you anything. However, Dihek'nir is fairly certain, that the Beacon of Light is inside.
You have several options. You can either just start asking people around in the streets, return to the market and ask there, go to the local tavern that seems to be nearby, or return to Brother Girael and ask him.
Dihek'nir makes a history check: 6

"Try and keep your voice down, then. Sheesh."
The Monk is taken aback, then nods: "While we are supposed to be safe here, that is indeed a good suggestion, thank you for it... „Then lets go to the middle of town, so we have greater chance to locate the beacon.“ ferdinand starts walking after picking up the map.
Dihek'nir says, "Hold on, Brother, which part of town would you guess does the Baron hold the Beacon? Where should we start looking?"
"Well if we are in the middle of town, you have higher chances of picking up a signal from the start. But i would like to have a look at the entire town. Get a lay of the land, you know."

Gedyr prepares to leave "Let us check the Thornhall"
He will send his hawk ahead of them as they move, to scout from the air. Finally scouting around Thornhall when they arrive.

Before they leave, ferdinand will change herring into a spider, if gedyr is willing to provide the supplies

„Understood. But keep in mind that there is someting that is quite literally cool outside the city.“

Bala is going to do a quick scan of the area to see if anyone is looking their direction.

Gedyr will ask a passperby "Excuse me, I'm from out of town and am wondering what this place is?" and will point to the Mithraeum.
He also has no problem sharing any non consumable spell ingredients he has....
