Gedyr will turn to Bala "It is your eyes and stealth that may be more useful. If you have a chance while we talk you may break off to investigate. Let us wait to see if our birds find anything interesting before we make a final decision."
Bala, Ferdinand's Seagull and Gedyr's eagle scout ahead. The road, at first, seems to be quiet, with nothing interesting happening on it. However, since they are already deep within the Barony of Chilton, the scouts are still very careful. Soon, their caution is rewarded, as, upon the road, they see two creatures, who seem to be busy devouring a corpse of what looks like a human. This information is relayed back to the rest of the Party.
The creatures look like this (With one having white hair, as depicted, while the other's hair is blue):
You can either attack the creatures head-on (along the road), go around in the woods and attack them from the side of the forest, attempting to ambush them, or just ignore them as they seem to be busy eating, and they are not your problem, so you can simply go within the woods and go around them.
Assuming ferdinand also saw the creatures (he sent his seagull familiar herring which rolled higher perception than gedyr‘s hawk) he passes the information down to bazhak and dihek‘nir
OOC: Sorry about that, yes, indeed your familiar was sent out as well. The Creatures are not alerted to your presence in any way, whole all of you know about them.
Dihek'nir asks Ferdinand, "I think you mentioned that you have the safety of a long rest taken care of? Do you mean the tiny hut spell? I've heard about it. If you have it, we should use it slightly off the road and these things will probably pass us by."
„So we have two options. We rest, risking being attacked by spider people or kill the spider people and rest then. I prefer the latter because then we are the ones initiating a fight instead of being surprised“
"I dunno. Usually when you see a few, there's a dozen waiting in the dark. Or... is that rats?" Bala shrugs his shoulders and loads his hand crossbow. "Never had spider legs before. Wonder how they taste..."
"They sound like servants of Lolth, long the enemy of my people and known to consort with demons. I would rather they be dead. I will attempt to sneak through the woods an flank them"

When he arrives gets within 90' of their location he will caste Haste on himself and draw his scimitar and Sunblade, however not activating the Sunblade as it will give away his position. Finally he will activate his blade song as he moves into position.
Ferdinand tries to move to about 100 ft to the creatures. Stealth: 121 made a mistake with the tooltip. Stealth is: 15
once everyone is in position, he shoots two arcane projectiles made out of white and blue shimmering energy against the white haired creature.
attack1: 20 damage: 13
attack2: 21 damage: 7
he then launches to tiny chunks of ice against the same creature for 9 and 9 piercing damage or half of each if they succeed on a dc14 dex save. Other creature also is affected if they are within 5ft of each other
initiative for further combat: 8
so i added the tool tip for stealth and it redid all the rolls. I dont know all of them. If you want i can tell you the ones i do know if you want.
The Plan of Stealthily striking the Spider-people worked quite well, as all of the Party members threw all they had into an attack, while the Enemies did not really get a chance to defend themselves. As a result, they were each dealt 30 damage.
(OOC: I am assuming that others, who have not rolled, would attack as well, so I am evening out the damage dealt).
The party members do notice, that Ferdinand's spell that he just cast is strange, as if when it is used, it sucks warmth from around him, something none of his other spells used to do. However, this is no time to discuss this.
The Spiders sense where they are being attacked from and charge at the party, but they are too far away. So, they lose precious seconds trying to get close to the party, who are now able to strike.
So the first round of the combat begins, with the Party automatically winning initiative. Here's the positioning for round 1.

“i like your thinking, gedyr. Id say we do it that way.“
"Yeeeeeah, I ain't really the 'investigating' type of guy. At least... not with a group. I get bashful."
Gedyr will turn to Bala "It is your eyes and stealth that may be more useful. If you have a chance while we talk you may break off to investigate. Let us wait to see if our birds find anything interesting before we make a final decision."
"Sure. Though I warn you, if I find anything particularly shiny, can't promise I wont keep it to myself."

What is the distance between the creatures and the group?
Dihek'nir asks Ferdinand, "I think you mentioned that you have the safety of a long rest taken care of? Do you mean the tiny hut spell? I've heard about it. If you have it, we should use it slightly off the road and these things will probably pass us by."
„Unfortunatly i cant. Except if we have 150 gold worth of ink and paper aswell as 6 hours of time. But maby gedyr could cast it with my spell book“
OOC: The distance between the party and the creatures is roughly a thousand feet.
Ferdinand starts walking into the direction of the creatures. „Only one way to find out.“
Dihek'nir is apprehensive about this whole thing of attacking spidery things that just killed something.
He takes a crossbow bolt and ties and end of his new rope to it, then sets it aside and loads the heavy crossbow with a regular bolt.
"They seemed large, so lets approach carefully and hit them from as far as possible. I'm not a fan of closing up on stuff with that many legs."
„Understood“
on the way ferdinand casts... [Tooltip Not Found] ...Thurzons hail, a homebrew spell that doesent work with tool tips apparently
“but i have a backup plan“

Dihek'nir takes a shot with his heavy crossbow at the nearest one:
Attack: 2 Damage: 7
(assuming here that the squares are 5x5ft)
