Maya wouldn’t have her hood up, she’d be frolicking in the rain, possibly even skipping around those moving slower in the group. Even if it were a complete downpour, she’d be soaking it up. Being a water genasi, she felt at home around water, so a ‘little rain’ never dampens her spirit, it may even refresh her. She’d come back to check on Toonary every once and a while to make sure he’s doing okay.
While she bounces about, she’d be scouting with what visibility she does have. She’d be keeping an eye out for any threats or traps. Maya would also scan the vegetation in the area in case she spots any useful herbs to stash.
“No shield here!” Maya had equipped herself with more offensive weapons, you’d be able to spot a spear and a quarter staff strapped to her back.
Maya has thought about using her shape water to redirect the water away from the party, but the downpour may be just too much and a 5x5 radius may not be enough to fit us all. Besides, who doesn’t like rain?! She’d start humming to herself, skipping in the rain.
Argus is a little taken back from all the rain... He is carefully looking out for any surprises (loss of footing, ambush, falling trees, etc.) He is also looking for any kind of temporary shelter to wait out the weather.....
Betrand pulls his hood up higher but is not all that bothered by the rain either as he had been through worse during his time sailing and fighting pirates. "I hope that we do not have to fight anything in this rain. Some of my magic is not suited for this." He raises a brow at Maya as she frolicks and shakes his head as he looks to the Minotaur. "I do not know if you would call them friends. It is more accurate to call them people with a goal similar to our own."

Toonary pulls a piece of bacon out of his pocket, puts it in his mouth half sticking out, hooks the Tiefling's arm and says "I'll be your friend." And listen to the story of the capsizing shop whiling looking to Maya and smiling.
The storm continues unabated, and to make matters worse a cold northerly breeze begins to blow, cutting through your soaked clothing. The trail leads to a saddle between two hills. The sides of the hills are covered with small and medium size trees. Bushes, and some boulders big enough for a couple of men to hide behind litter the trail. Off in the distance you hear a distant howl that, is soon answered by other howls.
“Aye, you see that?” She’d whisper nudging Argus. “Keep an from here, I’ll warn the others.” And with a nod Maya would fall back to the rest of the group. She’d reach an arm behind her back to grip her spear to be at the ready. She’d reach out with her other arm and place a calm hand on Toonary’s and look to him, “Our friends and us might get ambushed. These attackers, are not our friends.”
She’d flash a serious look to Bertrand, then to the others one by one, “Be at the ready with what you’ve got.”
"Yeah, yeah, Hornface. We're 'friends'. HEY ANNYBODDY GOTTA SHIELD I COULD BORROW?!"

Toonary would have given Gridolpho his shield and a piece of bacon, then put a piece of bacon half way in his own mouth and said "I'll be your friend"

Argus gets closer to Maya while the party is walking and continues to look around the area.
Maya: Through the rain you glimpse small figures moving down both hillsides using the trees, bushes, and boulders for cover.
