The light from Toonary's mace reveals that the passage is 50' long with a stone door at the end. Flanking the door are two iron scones with an unlit torch in each one. You can still the angry squealing of the rats, but they stay inside the walls.
The Party advances cautiously down the corridor towards the stone door. Gridolpho's keen senses alert for any signs of a trap. Finally, you reach the door, There doesn't seem to be a way to open the door.
Bertrand lowers his staff as the group takes out he rats before his help is needed, his eyes shifting a bit as light suddenly fills the room around them.

At first nothing happens after Gridolpho pulls on the mechanism to open the door. Then, the door begins to slowly to swing inward to reveal a flight of stone stairs ending in a wooden trap door.
