Argus. It's cloudy outside, and you can hear the distant rumble of thunder.
Captain Fireborn tells the Party that the Dreadwood is 20 miles southeast of Saltmarsh. He informs you that the terrain is fairly hilly, and that bandits prowl the hills, and goblins have been sighted near the forest. He also, says that rangers say that there are a few wood elf enclaves on the edge.
Is there any business a character needs to take care of before, the Party departs for The Dreadwood?
Maya would reach up and hook her arm around the Minotaur’s and give him a gentle pat on his forearm, “I’ll be your friend and you’re welcomed to come with!” She’d smile up at him with the piece of bacon hanging from her the corner of her mouth.
(OOC: Already a huge fan of this groups dynamics! lol)
A huge grin stretches across Maya’s face when Toonary hooks onto Betrand for them to all leave together as friends. “I have a feeling we’re going to get along swell!” She’d wink, pulling her piece of bacon into her mouth and chewing it, ready to leave with the others to check out the cult, then the manor.
The tiefling wizard looks at them silently as he does his best to not voice his opinion of the chances that of them becoming friends was more then likely zero. "Right now let us go before someone else claims the prize."
The Party sets out for the Dreadwood. For the first few miles you follow the main road, passing fellow travelers heading in the opposite direction. Finally, the Party leaves the road and heads away from the coast towards your goal. a couple of hours after doing so, the dark clouds overhead open up, and torrential downpour begins. It's raining so hard that it's hard to see more than a few yards ahead. Occasionally, lightning can be seen racing across the sky, followed almost immediately by booming thunder.
