Balfour had been watching carefully and as soon the thug raises his hand to smack the boy - he lets loose with this held arrow. The shaft flying out from the shadows and sinking deep into the Thugs' shoulder.

Targeting the same thug, and staying in the shadows, Balfour draws and looses again with an ease born of countless hours of practice.
From the doorway, Arm's voice is so soft that it's doubtful anyone more than six feet away would have heard it. No, you do not. His longbow is already in his hand, and arrow ready in a split second, and he fires at the leader who steals food from children.
Attack: 16 Damage: 6
He looks to see if the children ran towards the house or away; if towards, he will quickly do his best to usher them inside and away from the battle.
Im going now so that if I don't get a chance to when it is my turn my post is aready here.

Toonary then turns to the one in fine robes and extends his hands says a few arcane words as he twists his hand and Streams of light come out of his finger tips joining together as the rush to the thug, forming a bolt of lighting.
The arrows speed from both sides and burry themselves in the leader.
The first one coming from behind spins the thug leader one way and the other coming from the house strikes deep in her back sending her sprawling. The lifeless dody has barely touched the ground that Toonary charge in the midst of the group. One of the man is shoved back, clipped by the minotaur's horn. The mage, starting chanting the words of his spell, is pierced through by the radiant bolt coming Toonary's extended hand. A stun look appear on his face and he looks at the hole before falling to the ground. Dead.
Keyyra takes the chance to strolls up behind the one of the bandits and holds up his Crossbow to their neck putting the arrow right against their throat "Now you will tell your men to surrender and put down your weapons, Or i shall make this hurt as much as I can. And if you hurt this woman or her kids you shall not live past this week." He says as he steps back into the shadows

The thugs are very scared by the display of force you have just shown. Some of your group also are but keep that to themselves.
The three living bandits drop their weapons and start walking backward. They turn around from time to time in the hope of catching the ones hiding in the shadows but with the gloom don't seem to be able to.
Savannah's face is flushed but she stands firm, holding Adar now to her. The child has a back eye starting to show. She is torn between relief and dread at what has just happened. A few words escape her lips. "What have you done ?"
Tom, still pointing his bow toward the retreating thugs, quickly climbs down to go to his mother.
Once the bandits have left Keyyra steps out of the shadows as he dusts off his shirt and walks over to Savannha "We have stopped you from going hungry for the moment, but I have a feeling there is likely to be more of them correct." Keyyra says "Be ready to get this place a bit more secure, as if there are more bandits out here then I assume they will want to get back at you."

Wiping off his face with his napkin Otwald finishes his meal and walks over to Savannah; looking more stuff than normal after sitting for a while.. “That’s the look of uncertainty if I ever saw it Ma’am. Now I know I agreed with ya ay first ‘bout minding our business and lettin’ ya be. My colleagues disagreed, obviously, and chose to intervene. Now those bandits are our problem and not yours. You have my word we will do everything we can to endure no harm comes to you, your family, or your land. Don’t be livin’ in fear from now on. The Oath of a Dawnhammer will watch over you.” He puts his hand on her shoulder while speaking to her before going over to Tom “Ya did good, boy.”Before limping over to the rest of the party. “Good work, all of you. I know I disagreed initially but you can rely on me through and through.”
Balfour smiles warmly at the Dwarf 'Believe it or not, I agreed with you about staying out of it if we could - but once he struck the boy here, well......' Balfour shrugs his shoulder and looks sheepish. 'We couldn't let that happen'
Turning back to Savannah, 'He's right, this isn't your problem alone anymore. We've come to bring some semblance of order to these lands - and that means freeing homesteaders like you from living in fear and paying protection to thugs like that'
The bandits leave the area at first very carefully but when they are sure they are far away bolt toward the south west and the more wooded area.
Savanah regains her composure and offers a nod. "They had this coming to them. They come here every few weeks and plunder our stores and help themselves to most of our stuff. At first they were 12 but in the months that have followed they have become complacent but they always want more. They threatened the kids and I have seen what they can do. A merchant tried to stand up to them. They killed him." she shocks up a bit at the memory her emotions overwhelming her.
The old man comes toward the grouo and waves his good buys
" Happy to have met you all. If you need anything come and see me. I m staying near a big silver tinged tree about 3 hours to the south. I ll trade you for any out of the ordinary components. Good luck." and just like nothing happened he strolls away.
Arm follows them for a while, going just inside the wooded area, trying to get a sense of where they are headed, observing the trail they leave behind and learning what he needs in order to track them in future: Survival: 22. However, before getting too deep, he retraces his steps back to Savanah's place.
Balfour chuckles as Toonary hands the rock to the Adar 'Good advice indeed, my boy. Good advice for all of us as a matter of fact. We should set a watch - two of us at a time? I think our friend Arm has slipped off to keep an eye on the ruffians. Toonary, perhaps you and I could take first watch? Otwald would you take charge of making sure the homestead here is as secure as it can be?
Did Balfour find anything on either of the bodies - learn anything from search either of them?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Otwald chuckles. “Sure thing!” In response for being asked to help by Balfour. As Otwald limps by he grabs Toony by one of his horns and pulls his head down (jumping to do so) “Toonary, you’ve done Rurgrolin proud today, keep listening to that heart of yours.” As he pokes the chest of Toonary twice while smiling. Otwald then takes a couple laps around the perimter.
"If any of you find a flute that you do not need please do tell me." Keyyra says then finding his way up to the wall sits by the catapults and prepares a place to meditate for the next 4 hours of course with the rock given to him by Otwald
