Race/Class: Human Paladin (will be Oath of Conquest)
Backstory+How’d you get into the Cult?:
Matteo was raised in the worship of Asmodeus, though in secret of course. His family have held fast to the true Faith for many generations, lost in the forgotten countryside where the prying eyes of the righteous could not find them. For Matteo, his own ambition was to rise in service of his Faith, and it was day of joy and celebration for his parents, brothers and sisters when an old paladin took the young Matteo under his wing and began to teach him the ways of combat reserved only for those sworn utterly to the service of their God. In his years under Sir Kothric's tutelage he has learned much of the nature of fear, and how the weak must be bound to service, how the strong must dominate. He has fought hard, and revelled in battle and victory, but always to a greater goal, in obedience to his God. He learned every lesson the warrior could teach him, before the old man finally succumbed to his advanced years; Matteo had wept openly as he buried the man, sadness to have lost him, joy that he had lived such a noble life, and determination to emulate him. To join the Left Hand, it is an honour he had not imagined, and he will whatever it takes to ensure that the Hand succeeds this time.
Backstory: Growing up on the streets, she quickly learned that she would only rely on herself, or on a small group. She joined a street gang to stay alive, but when she was 16 the gang was killed by a rival group. She swore she would kill anyone who ever crossed her again, and took the name Tyranny. Joining a group of metcenaries, she learned how to fight and use a sword, and proved to be a natural talent with a sword. When she was 20 she was contacted in a dream by an emissary of Asmodeus, and she joined the Cult of the Nine.
Background - Growing up and living in the frigid and harsh mountains, Slagrid, being over 7 and a half feet tall, took quickly to the Barbarian life. For years, Slag trained and was hardened by life in the North. He was a skilled fighter and protected his clan and family well. A year ago, Slag fell through the ice during a battle, and hours later was pulled from the ice; his body rigid and frozen, he was placed amongst the dead. When he unexpectedly revived late that night, his clan was overjoyed and he was named "Frostborn". However, since that night, Slag has been different, changed somehow...cold. Before, his desire for power and strength was tempered by duty and a Goliath's sense of equity, but now...He felt different.
Slag left his home shortly after, and has been wandering South, in search of something, anything to bring him more strength, more power. He found that something in the Cult.

Backstory: Jamaros was dedicated by his parent to the god Kossuth while he was still an infant. From that time he was raised a Disciple of the Phoenix.
As a teenager, Jamaros questioned some of the tenants of the order which resulted in a purging by fire. This is seen in the brands he bears on his arms in the shape of flames and a large Phoenix on his chest.
Jamaros found himself drawn to the study of other cultures, especially those that lived close to the flames. His studies led him to spend time away from the monastery living amongst these races to learn for himself how the Firelord manifested himself among them.
It was while he was living with the tiefling communities in Chessenta that he first learnt of Asmodeus. The images of a winged man surrounded by the flames of hell called to him. Surely this was a manifestation of the Firelord.
Jamaros sought out the Elders amongst the tiefling to learn as much as he could about this new vision of his god. Ever so slowly he was led into the Cult of Nine, where he came to realise that Kossuth had led him to his true path.
Among the Fungalscale tribe, life each day was observing rituals to honor the cycle of life, death and reincarnation in the morning, hunting for food during the day while the sun was out, and taking turns watching for intruders and other threats in the night. Every day proceeded as such with very little fluctuation and the recently mature Throslokre hated the monotony. While the elders were content with this as their lot in life, Throslokre hungered for purpose beyond to succeed the current elder and teach the next brood once they were of age. The only facet of this life which kept any amount of his interest were the spores which he learned how to exude and control. None of the elders could provide him an acceptable answer as to why they controlled such spores, or who gave them the ability to manipulate them nor did they seem inclined to ever find such an answer.
One night, whether in his dreams or somehow appearing before him a being offered an answer. A devil which spoke in honeyed words which initially fell on deaf ears, caught Throslokre's attention with the phrase "Bring new life to the world." Told of Asmodeus, and his desires and abilities Throslokre made the connection that this must be it! The reason the spores exist, the reason behind such abilities being granted to him and his kind. However the rest of his tribe was weak, undeserving of such knowledge and liberation. Having unwittingly made a deal for his very soul, that night Throslokre left his tribe, and with directions from this devil sought out the nearest bastion of the Cult of Nine to begin his journey towards a goal he had never before dreamed possible. The world was due for a new life cycle, and Asmodeus would be the entity to herald such beautiful change.

A lot of good characters and it’s making it difficult to choose. I’ll leave it open for another day to see if anyone else comes by, they’ll need to blow me away with a great idea to dethrone the group I’m thinking of.
I do appreciate all the applications, it going to be a really hard choice.
so I want to make an Variant Human Order cleric (Asmodeus is listed as a diety in the description !) he follows Asmodeus and will be lawful evil. He wants to bring his god into the world to impose the order of his religion onto everyone. I cannot link to character unless I am able to join and get the shared materials.
With my character Hadrian I just wanted to ask since I went with his Patron being Asmodeus himself and chose the Part of the Chain at level three can I give his Imp Familiar a name and Personality? I kind of like the idea that he plays the part of a normal familiar but was bound into the pact to make sure that Hadrian does as he is told.
