Aether you’re able to skim a few words before the guards burst in. “Island”.... “Tuning fork”..... “Calimport”... “Vosnassa”
The guards look flustered as the snake tries to slither away before stomping on its head, causing Funiculus to die, evaporating instantly. The two guards look at each other, “Has to be someone close by.” They look to the disguised Aether “Stay here until we get this sorted out.” As they go down the hall kicking doors down, looking for any clues to the perpetrator.
Drax - There is the door you just moments ago walked through to get in. The other door doesn’t seem to be locked or trapped, it’s hard to tell from this distance, but is a very public place and isn’t likely trapped.
Matteo nods in agreement. When you have killed Boverno, and have shown the proof to you people, you will find that you suddenly have many friends. That brings its own problems. But first, you have to find and slay this beast. He stands, and looks at Petmorn; It couldn't hurt to spend a little time searching the area, right? The others are probably reading, or stuck listening to some dull lecture. He turns to the kobold. How far is the place where you lost the beast's tracks, Archie?
Matteo/ Petmorn - The glum nature of Archibald flips instantly. “Yes, yes, you will? He was this way the last I saw it! Let’s go, but first, run this on yourselves. It will mask your odor.” Archibald takes out a jar and opens it. It looks like green and waxy, In a Vaseline like consistency. He takes a glob of it himself and begins smearing his face and body with it. He holds the jar eagerly for you. His skin shines and is thickly coated in this gunk. It sells like patchouli mixed with cat urine.
Whether you take it or not, Archibald rushes back into the woods.
Drax would casually look around before standing up and walking through the new door when the professors back is turned without saying a word, trying to walk as if he knows exactly where he is going.
Petmorn and Matteo - The balm feels really thick and sticky at first, but after a minute it kind of absorbs intoyour skin and you don’t feel it any more. You do realize though are getting closer to wildlife before spoiling them away. So maybe it does have an effect after all. Archibald is scurrying from bush to bush and tree to tree. Inspecting every element of nature in the area for any signs of tracks as he leads you into the woods. (One of you can roll a survival check with advantage to see if you can help Archie.)

Aether - You are alone in the room now, but the two guards are in the hall both on opposite ends. You would have to walk by one of them to get out.
Drax - easily enough you walk out of the room without too much trouble. No one says a word to you. Walking out of the room you stand in the middle of the Troubadour Hall alone. You don’t see any of your party here.
Risha - Getting upstairs and looking around, only to find a door that says archives on it. The noises are muffled but coming from behind it.
I stick the book in my normal pack then reach into the bag of holding and pull out the skeleton. Burning another 2nd level spell slot I change my appearance to that of the lady who helped me at the restricted section. Then directed the skeleton “Chase me out of the room and then attack any guards who come.“ I then run from the room screaming with the skeleton chasing me. I make my way out of this section an out of the temple as fast as I can. If I see any of my comrades on the way out I pull them with me telling them who I am.

Aether/Risha - Awther takes the time to pluck the skeleton from his bag, change his appearance, and steal the book while standing in front of the very stone he knows people have been watching him through this whole time. The skeleton follows your command chasing you out. The two guards in the hallway now see a completely different person than who they left in the room screaming at the top of their lungs being chased by a skeleton. Aether takes a hard right down the hall as he tries to blow pass the guard.

It looks like the plan is working just as he is passing the reach of the guard. but the last minute the guard reaches out to grapple Aether.
Aether acrobatics - 10 vs guard’s athletics 7
Aether is able to slip away and bust through the door into the office he originally talked to the woman. Busting through another the next door slamming into Risha.
Risha Dex Save - 11
somehow hearing the upcoming footsteps rushing towards the door, Risha is able to step out of the way of the door and duck under the girl running forward. Aether informs Risha that it’s her. Behind the two doors you can hear that skeleton attempting to fight the guards, you know you have little time until at least one gets away and follows. Looking out towards the library and hallways. You see two more guards rushing straight towards you. Some 60 feet away. To get to the stairs you would have to go towards the guards 20 feet before turning left down to the steps/ library to get out.
Matteo / Petmorn - you follow Archibald in the forest for close to an hour. Archibald still sniffing away and checking everywhere for any signs of tracks. In his furious hopping and skipping Petmorn glances to see that he potentially missed something. A large broken branch veering off the path to the left. Looking further down you see traces of what looks very large bipedal footprints. Continuing through. An aroma fills the air, pungent and stickily hanging in the air. It smells like rotten meat and piles of decaying plant life. It’s only getting stronger the further you go. Archibald is very excited “Yes! This is it! We will slay Boverno once and for all in his den. But give me a minute.” After he says this he takes a minute to focus and turns into the form of a black panther
