"Ha ha ha! May she rot in the cheapest hole! I need to write this one down." You hear a crack in the floor board as a 12 ft Estuarine slumps down cross-legged next to Kamina. He pulls out a stained leather bound notebook and begins to scribble with a piece of charcoal the words "rot in cheapest hole". They take up the whole page.
"Sshibek"
He brings his own oversized drink to the table and uses the notebook as a coaster.
"Well net, Orrget!" peeps Kamina, trying to appear like she's smiling. It's all in the eyes really. "Any hriend of URSULA'S TITS!" She tumbles from her chair mid-sentence as the massive hulking crocodude's drink hits the table.
Slips of paper flutter into the air suddenly like a late history paper held too lightly on a blustery day, but rather than scatter to be lost they hold their position, faint traces of eldritch power arcing between them. Kamina can no more scowl than smile. But it's all in the eyes.
Hemmelbrand approaches her shoulder to help her to her non-existent feet but she waves him off, happy there's no immediate threat, hovering back to her chair and extending a hand to welcome her talisman papers as they return to her and disappear up her voluminous sleeve.
Hearing some of the rustling that is happening in the tavern, Vezder finally turns his head after a long swig of ale, and looks over the table from which the noises came. His darting eyes noticed his old friend, Charles, who helped Vezder after they successfully took him out of the bog. Vezder then slowly put his shield behind his back, and checked how firmly the sword sat in the scabbard. He doesn’t look to be as tall as Sshibek, although he is taller than an average Arch-Gnoll, a chain mail composed of links of different metals weighs off him and a simple ink-blue robe is thrown over the whole body. The longsword looks to be a little old and the shield has many scratches on it, there is also a bound tome weighing on his belt, near the sword . “Oi! Charles, what are you doing in this place? To you lot I may be unfamiliar, but me and Charles here cut and shot our way through the swarming swamps back in the day. Name is Vezder Blacksoil”, he pronounced with a raspy, yet somewhat soothing voice, as he walked his way towards the table where unfamiliar faces sat. Upon noticing the cross-legged figure, he raised a brow and squinted both of his eyes. “Haven’t I seen you before?”, the figure seemed familiar but memory was never the best tool in Vezder’s arsenal, although it came a close second.
Orrbet perks the small wings that protrude from his shaggy purple hair. The light from the tavern torches gleam against his black skin and reflect out of his reddish eyes. An aged silver scar flows from the back of his right ear down his neck and disappears into his tattered leather clothing.
"It's no big deal......." Orrbet pauses....as if to think about his phrasing carefully "Really....It's no big deal. I used to take apart locks on my perch all the time. It's no big deal."
When offered an ale, Orrbet looks over the contents with intrigue. He takes a big, loud whiff of the foaming substance and exhales with satisfaction. He then slowly sips the beverage and observes the remaining members of the table.
Sshibek has dark green scales on most of his body, except chest, abdomen, forearms and a strip along his spine to the tip of his tail, which are silver. He is wearing a black bear pelt across his shoulders, upper chest and falling halfway down his back, partly covering a backpack. His only other item of clothing is a pair of ragged beige trousers that end above his knees. He is heavily armed: a greataxe, a staff, a dagger held by leather straps, and javelins tied to his backpack.
"Well met, Gesundheit! You have a strong name for such a little thing. I did not mean to startle you. Tell me... this magic of yours... can you teach it?"
He does not wait for a reply as his eyes are drawn to Vezder approaching the table.
Sshibek quietly inspects the newcomer, then picks up his notebook. "I have a bad memory for faces and most other things, but the names of my friends are in this book. My name is Sshibek. What is yours?"
"Vezder! How you doing, friend? Come sit down. I'm here celebrating a job well done. And looking for more work, rumor has it that there are monsters in the area to be hunted!" Charles introduces everyone to Vezder
Sshibek looks up Vezder in his notebook, then shrugging: "No Vezder here. No matter, I am on the lookout for new friends. And I like this talk of hunting monsters." He gets tense for a moment and looks around the table, realising everyone knows someone in this group, except him. "If you will have me, of course."
The bar maid Comes along with your drinks placing them all down and asks Is there anything else you would like we also serve home cooked meals Boar is are our meat special today and we were even able to get some fresh fruits and vegetation.
“I’m fine, thank you very much. Well, hunting monsters sounds perfect, even better if coin is involved.”, he responds to his compatriots around the table and the bar maid. “I don’t see a reason for you not to come with us , Sshibek. Fighting in a pack is always more advantageous than hunting alone. Folks, I suggest that we move on and start looking for the job soon, because working in sunlight is preferable when dealing with foul beasts. I mean, darkness is not a problem for me, I live in it and hunt in it, but those things, they thrive in it”.
Orrbet does a slight cringe at the sound of hunting at daylight.
"Daylight is no friend of mine, but it is best not to hunt in a large group at night...Easy pickings from the unknown location of a night prowling beasty...but Orrbet can be more sneaky than beasty, it's no big deal!" Orrbet looks at the barmaid "Ma'am, do you know anything of this hunt?"

She looks at the Arc The hunt I am sure it was requested by the villages leader Palle I do know there has been demons reported in the area it's been quite frighting I heard they where near the Valley of Way which is north east of here it is near some ancient ruins which have become unstable over time. I am sure Palle would reward anyone who would take care of them. She stops and looks at the group infront of her.
"Ha ha ha! Yes! Let's hunt some demons! I want to see how well you handle yourselves." Sshibek downs the rest of his drink, some of the liquid spilling down the sides of his snout.
"Not to put a damper on things, but should we check with Palle if he has more information on said Ribbits? " Charles looks over at the table yonder "And maybe we should bring that Phoenix and Grim Ribbit along aswell, they look like they are useful in a fight"
Rushing into the tavern and pulling back the hood of her cloak Eternus looks around the tavern seeing the hodgepodge of people enjoying drink she moves over the group "Are you the ones who were talking about forming a group?"
"Well met, Gesundheit! You have a strong name for such a little thing. I did not mean to startle you. Tell me... this magic of yours... can you teach it?"
"Ny ahologies, it would ahear ny little joke has vackvired! I an Kanina. And yes, vevore you say it, that was a harticularly cruel joke on the hart of my harents. Let ne show you a trick. See this glass?"
She necks her ale.
"And like nagic, it's gone! Varnaid! Another!"
She surveys the burgeoning table guests and flicks her blonde hair out of her orange eyes with a purple hand, an after-image of a creature, while her new companions discuss a monster hunt. A crocodile, a frog, jackal, a doll, a vampire....
"Is no one else worried that the nonster hunt is looking vor us? "
"Are you the ones who were talking about forming a group?"
Orrbet analyzes the Pheonix before him. Again dazed in intrigued at the wings (if there are any) as they are more divine than his battered and tattered wings.
"I wouldn't call us a group...we seem to fall at the right place at the wrong time! Wait...no.....wrong place at the wrong time?....no that doesn't sound right either. We are a bunch of misfits trying to earn our way in looty and renown!
"Is no one else worried that the nonster hunt is looking vor us? "
"Monsters? Though I may look it, I am just a poor...innocent bat who belongs on a perch tinkering with picks and locks. Some judge me as an evil vampire...which are actual monsters... but those judgement be wrong! I don't suck on blood from the vein in hopes to stay alive! I meanly drink it for enjoyment...on occasion...."

“Vezder Blacksoil. Pleasure to meet you. Shall we talk to Palle first then?”, he asks looking over the group. He certainly never hunted with so many individuals of differing races at once. He looked at the bar maid, “Excuse me, where would we find Palle?”
