Zelra sips at her ale and enjoys the show, tapping her feet and nodding along to the music. Turning to Delanra, "You should get something different from us so that I can scab- I mean, so we can all share and try different dishes." She gives Delanra a cheeky grin before turning back to the performance and giving the bard an"encouraging" whistle.
While you wait for your meals, a seemingly drunken human man in his thirties saunters over and leans against the table, trying his best to make eye contact with Delanra. Wobbling a bit as he attempts to be sexy, he says, "'Scuse me, miss. Come with me to the bar, yeah? Conversate and all that, it's Sune's Day, let's celebrate, yeah?"
For Delanra:
In that moment, a young halfling with shaggy blonde hair catches your eye. He is darting about the tavern, clearing plates from unaccompanied tables, and wiping down glasses at the bar. For some reason, you find yourself unable to look away. Everything he is doing just seems so...charming?
Delanra breaks her stony silence, the slight vacancy to her look now gone. "The steak and mirror cake for me. Though I like my steak blue, if your chef can accomodate." Turning to Zelra, Delanra replies "I am more of a red meat fan, fish doesn't appeal to me all that much."
As the human wanders over Delanra turns to Otger, "Do you see what I meant?" To the human, she is about to turn him down but notices a serving boy and quite unusually warms to him. Rethinking her answer, she replies to the man "You may escort me to the bar, I feel the need for some wine to wet my lips. Let us see what the finest this house offers is." She uses the walk to move closer towards the halfling, and try to fathom.out his 'appeal'.
Insight: 15 against hiw drunk the human really is compared to how he appears
Perception: 15 against following the halfling's activities.
The man blinks slowly for a moment, processing Delanra's response, and breaks into a wild grin, barely waiting for her before moving toward the bar. "What brings you here for Sune's Day? Lady like you must be the beck and call of many in a bigger city than this," he asks when they reach the bar.
Josephine takes Delanra's order, and while Delanra is away, she returns with warm plates of rib-eye and crab legs, along with fresh pints of ale and wine. Behind her, a fight breaks out between two patrons, and just moments later, another pair begins to trade punches on the dance floor.
The air has grown warm in the tavern, and the noise of the music has started to bleed together with the loud voices of the other patrons. A few minutes later, a roguish looking man, wearing a rather generic disguise, sidles into the spot vacated by Delanra. He leans back and whispers, "Pretend I'm not here."
For Delanra:
The man's slurred speech and slow reactions confirm that he is well under the effects of alcohol.
The halfling looks quite busy, trying to keep up with the overflowing tavern, but he seems to be doing his best to keep within eyesight of Josephine. When she is waiting on tables, he is cleaning a nearby table. When she is getting drinks from the bar, he is wiping down glasses at the bar.
It is difficult to comprehend, because the feeling is so foreign, but for some reason the thought crosses your mind that it would be better if it were you that he was trying to be around.
Zelra casually picks up a crab leg and starts to crack it open. Her eyes watch over Delanra but she speaks to the man. "So, who exactly are you? Were you the one who started those fights?"

A thick, throaty voice grabs your attention, rising slightly above that of those gathered in the inn. A lithe elf woman seated nearby stops mid-sentence for a bout of coughing and attempts to continue; her voice grows louder and deeper, sounding increasingly confused.
As Zelra takes a sip of the crisp ale that Josephine has just brought her, she asks her question of the roguish man at the table. Oddly, her voice comes out higher-pitched and she asks it in a posh accent.
Barely glancing her way, the man mutters, "Asking me who I am is the exact opposite of pretending I'm not here."
"I must say, this food is amazing!" Otger greedily continues eating his meal without so much as a glance to the new stranger sitting at his table. "That Delanra is already warming up to the celebrations of tonight it seems!" He says as he looks over to the bar, "You still wholely against couples and romance?" He asks looking at Zelra and motioning to the stranger at their table with a hearty chuckle.
Before she can react to the man's remark, Zelra's eyes widen at the sound of her voice and she starts to burst out laughing. "Wha-What in the nine hells is going on here?!"She positions herself to look as snobby and posh as she can. "Oh! My dear Otger, this food is absolutely ravishing! I wouldn't say I'm wholeheartedly against couples and romance. A little here or there, I don't mind at all but just the large amount of it in one place is absolutely horrid."

Otger's throat lets out an unexpected voice as well, in a slightly different manner. With his last question, the words emit from his mouth rearranged: "You illstay olelywhay againstyay ouplescay andyay omanceray?"
Throughout the tavern, voices grow louder and louder as others find theirs modified. Another brawl breaks out by the door, and moments later, Zelra and Otger turn to find the roguish man suddenly gone, as if he had disappeared on the spot.
For Otger:
Your speech is all being rearranged to Pig Latin for an indeterminate amount of time.
Stretching his mouth in a weird way, as if he had something wrong with his jaw, Otger looks around like a lost puppy. "Iway oday otnay ikelay isthay aceplay anymoreway" Frustrated, he pushes his plate aside as well as his drink and sits cross armed in his chair. He looks about the bar as the chaos begins to ensue.
As the man seated at their table suddenly vanishes, Otger goes wide eyed, "Idday ouyay eesay atthay?" At this point, he pushes his chair back as he stands up straight, next to the table
As the man disappears, Zelra stands up from the table and looks around, trying to see if she can find him but is distracted as Otger speaks. She squints at him, trying to decipher what he said before an expression of realisation eventually appears on her face. She shakes her head to answer his question. "No, I didn't see anything, if that's what you're asking. What did you see?"
The frustrated Otger spots a curious sight while looking around. A sparrow is perched in the rafters, looking at the proceedings with an unsettling aura of intelligence. The bird locks eyes with Otger. Noticing that it has been discovered, it flits away, down into the tavern and through a door at the side of the bar.
"Ethay anmay, ehay anishedvay!" Otger says, in growing frustration to Zelra. The sight of a sparrow flying through the bar confuses Otger, "Eway areway eingbay atchedway, ollowfay emay." He moves quickly to Zelra's side and motions to her to follow him as he begins leaving the table and moving toward the bar with the intent of following the sparrow.
Zelra stands still, looking confused for a good while beforr shrugging and following Otger. Eventually, she understands what he says and nods. "Yeah, I noticed. Did you see how he vanished? He use magic or was he just a really stealthy boy- wait what do you mean we're being watched?" Zelra looks around the tavern again, trying to see who exactly is watching them.
Zelra looks around, but doesn't spot anybody in the tavern that seems to be paying any undue attention to the party. Otger is moving toward a door at the side of the bar, moving past Delanra along the way.
As they pass Delanra, Zelra quickly taps her on the shoulder. "I don't know what you're doing but I think we're leaving. Something about someone watching us." Without waiting for her response, Zelra continues to follow Otger.
"icklyquay, eforebay itway etsgay awayway!" Otger says, he mutters an unintelligible curse under his breath clearly frustrated with his inability to communicate effectively. He moves quick as he can toward the door, only having stopped a second in hopes that Delanra understands his words.
Zelra and Otger open the door and enter a kitchen that is just as crowded and chaotic as the rest of the tavern. Chefs and attendants hustle back and forth, readying a large number of meals. The sparrow is perched above the doorway, and flits away again when the door opens, flying toward a descending stairway on the right side of the room.
For Otger:
OOC: The "Pig Latin" effect has worn off. Play that up in your next post however you'd like.
"There!" Otger exclaims at the sight of the sparrow, "Noo! Wai--" He starts to grow more frustrated as the sparrow flies off again, but the realizes his speech is back to normal, wide eyed and grinning he yells, "I CAN SPEAK! I CAN TALK AGAIN!" Perhaps a bit too loudly and animated and most definitely drawing the attention of the room if that was not already the case.
OOC: If the persons in the room give the group no trouble, Otger will continue chasing the sparrow with Zelra.
