Zephyre stands, he seems oddly taller than the day before.
"Amazing, everything is coming together smoothly. The groups have came together on there own yet just as I would have suggested. The human/Elvish team will help get in and out of the Rings without suspicion and as for Marun, you could easily pass as a high born hierarchy as long as you try not to interact verbally much in the inner most rings. You can use this as advantage, Nawien and Layla can act and speak for you as a sign of foreign Royalty. After I brief you who and where the target is and you have succeeded in gathering information and subduing further operations, you will venture afar, of course I will be in touche as to where and how. I'll get with you after this long needed analasis."
"Rusty/Thok/and Maze will be heading deep into orc lands, this may be one of the toughest missions but I have confidence in the three of you as a whole."
Cyst and Dain, I would like for the two of you to head to Dwarven lands but before then I will have you meet with a close friend of mine. It sounds as though some of you have already met him, he is very distinguishable, and as intelligent as it comes. Larz is just a short ways from Ring City gathering material for the adventure."
"As for myself, I will head for the dessert where I believe the souls have been gathered. They will definitely be protected so for now I will have to just observe and report back with the lot of you for updates."
"So if Larz if not far away, will he come back here, or do we go meet him? He did seem to be a clever young dwarf, even if a little distracted at times. And I'm assuming that there will be a contact in the Dwarven lands, or something to look for?"
"I need mention that I am an outcast from my clan because of a cowards lies, so unless the situation has changed, my welcome may not be what you are expecting if we have to travel back to my clan....... it is possible that our clan being relatively insular news may not have spread to other clans, therefore I may still have some standing with them"
Contrary to my previous actions, termination of a being is not my prefered method of dealing with biologicals. My previous encounter with the Orc Thokk was one that all other options for the completion of my mission were exercised and I had to implement my plan of action. Less than lethal force is prefered, especially as we will be in the Orc territory and we will not need any more entities attempting to subjugate our mission.
Unfortunately my "charms" as you stated are a limitation of my modified being. This is the purpose of my inquiry to the Dwarf known as Laarz, he seems to be a gifted tinkerer and perhaps he is a learned Artificer. Based on my limited interaction with other beings of my origin, I have concluded that through damage that caused my original termination and incompetent modifications and repairs from others that my current self is largely deviant from my original creation and from other Warforged in general. This is a narrative that may be discussed further after our current affairs have concluded.
Thokk - Having had a thought he starts speaking rapidly and says, "Now wait a minute...I have an idea. Rusty you need to talk to this other dwarf, this...Larz person if I am correct? Dain is going to be meeting with that same dwarf at some point and while I am not saying that our mission is not important, but if we are to have our party be at it's best we need to make sure that Rusty can...(he has a pang of regret)...can take care of us if needed...which means making sure that he is at his best." He will look at Maze and say, "I know they are people. I know they are your people. That doesn't make them any less dangerous on this drug. If we can't find some answers as to how we are able to take down a full orc without causing any long term damage...there will be a lot of unnecessary killing." He will look at Dain and say, "If it is okay with you and Cyst, I think it would be in our best interest to at least accompany you to find this Larz individual...what do y'all say?"

Throkk, I am a capable operative and will be able to handle Maze and yourself if the need arises. Less than lethal is more difficult but with the proper material easily attained. My desire to Laarz, is as I stated before, a selfish reason and it is probable he would not have the knowledge or skill required. Even though I am not operating at my original capacity or parameters, my current configuration does not lesson my effectiveness. As much as I would like to discuss matters with Laarz, I feel the mission should be of priority, especially now that there are multiple beings involved. Statistically the more individuals involved in a covert operation, the smaller percentage of the convert aspect sustaining. With the Elf operative removed from the narcotic organization, we must proceed at a quicker pace so the others involved do not change their MO or go into hiding and attempt to conceal their operations further.

Layla slips out the door, dodging into the crowd, changing direction a few times and doubling back to throw off any followers.
A few minutes later, a few streets further into the seamy side of the city, Layla comes to a grubby restaurant. The sign in the window says
Sharky’s
Goblin/Illithid Fusion Cooking
Inside, the scents of skunk oil, charred grease, and scorched brains fill the air. There is nobody in the building but a goblin short-order cook, standing on a stool in front of the stove and making a grilled pig-bladder sandwich.
“Muul o druuc, hec rohr!” Layla calls.
The goblin’s head whips around in shock. “Kakhuur daan rharthaan!”he shouts, his face splitting into a snaggle-toothed grin. “A duuc a taal’daal tuulkaakhec dhuuch rohr a rhaal de’gaal daan toc och mal huukan rhal!”
“Hallo, Tagec,”says Layla, grinning back. “What no customers? I find that really easy to believe.” She pokes at a rock-hard tentacle-wreathed muffin on display, and the tentacles wave at her irritably.
“Now and then someone bored with life comes in, but if the smell doesn’t drive them off, the prices do,” Tagec answers. “But Maglubiyet save me from food critics. They swarm in here looking for a chance to write real stinkers of reviews, the akuuc orluun. And once they do, more ghuuguucs flock in to see if I’m really as bad as they say. It’s terrible for business.”
“I’ll bet,” says Layla. Food was not where Tagec made his profits.
“So, Kakhuur, what have you been up to? You went dark after I got you those sailing papers. Not a peep have I heard of you.”
Layla shrugs. “I went straight for a while. Worked as a ship’s officer for four years.”
Tagec hoots. “YOU? How did you sink the ship in the end?”
“What makes you think I sank it?”
“I have confidence in you, Kakhuur.”
“Pirates sank it.”
Tagec’s grin widens. “Any pirates I KNOW?”
Layla sighs. “It was Captain Saloosh who scuppered the Mobius. Not me. Anyway, what we did wasn't piracy, it was just a burglary. Aboard a boat. The town council just wanted an excuse to hang us.”
Tagec had not been the founder of her childhood gang, or ever its leader, but he had taught them all to speak Goblin. That became a secret code that almost nobody else in the harbor town could understand, helping to transform the insignificant Cobblestone gang into the feared and respected Cobblegobs. Tagec had found the gang too small to hold him in the end, and had left to form his own information network, serving bigger and better criminals. Bludgeon, the gang leader, had ordered Tagec executed for disloyalty, but she had warned the goblin and helped him escape. Ever since he had been a valuable contact, supplying her with information and sometimes other assistance. When she had had to flee the town with a death sentence hanging over her, Tagec had provided the forged papers that got her a position aboard an outbound ship.
“It sank at any rate. And I washed up ashore. Now I am Layla Patayla, a wandering bard who has sadly lost her instrument and can not perform.”
“Good news for music lovers everywhere,” Tagec snickered.
“And I heard you were in Ring City, so I headed this way, and a cold, soulless, unsympathetic place it is,” said Layla. “Nobody even asks me to tell the story of how I lost my great-great-great grandmother’s pearl-inlaid banjo.”
“So, what do you want from me this time, merthuun?”Tagec asked. “You know I am always at your service. At least until the day I am desperate enough for pocket change to turn you in for that piddly bounty on your head.”
“Just checking in for now,” she says. “Also—“ she waves her short bow, “This was fine for potting rabbits in the countryside, but it’s a little clumsy for an urban environment. Do you know where I can trade it in for a small and discreet crossbow?”
Actually, what she wants most is information on every person in Zephyre’s group, including Zephyre himself, and especially her own partners. But since she doesn’t know who else her old friend might be working for, it seems unwise to give him a list of names.
“Tony’s Boot Repair and Pig Butchery, three blocks down,”says Tagec, pointing with his spatula. “Deals in slightly-used weapons from persons who no longer have a life to defend. Mention my name, he owes me. And don’t be a stranger.”
“Right, thanks,”says Layla, heading out the door. “Maybe I’ll bring someone here to eat someday.”
“Seriously, Kakhuur?” the goblin calls after her. “I thought assassination wasn’t your style.”

After a little while, Layla returns to the tavern and slips back into her seat. "Hope I didn't miss anything,"she says. She opens the shopping bag she is carrying, removes a small hand crossbow and examines it. Then she starts cleaning what look like dried bloodstains off it. After a while, she comes across a name scratched into the wood of the stock. She frowns, then whittles away the scratches with her dagger, and goes on cleaning the weapon..

For the first ten minutes after Layla left, Nawien was gazing at Zephyre - unending revere the elf was in did not allow anything else. Or did it? Everyone else was gone, even Laaz went somewhere inside, preparing for the day. Several ideas of suitable pranks - from a childish joke of charcoal mustaches or a couple hundred thin braids, up to more serious one like replacement of his weapons with silverware - run through her mind. With a sigh she refused from all of them. Something was wrong with that elf. Not only his long periods of catatonic stupors, but even when he was alive and active, he behaved more as a some kind of "god of dreams" rather than a normal elf (not that Nawien knew many of them, but enough to feel that something is off here). And his sense of humor might be very different too: who knows how he will joke in response.
Well, as pretty as "elf" was, she could not just sit there and look at him endlessly. There was one thing - no, two! - she had to do in the city and the sooner, the better. She cast one last look at Zephire (no, no signs of life) and left. If he is indeed a god - he will know where to find her is she gets stuck.

I just wan't to know what it is we should be doing in regards to this campaign?

The goblin’s head whips around in shock. “Kakhuur daan rharthaan!” he shouts, his face splitting into a snaggle-toothed grin. “A duuc a taal’daal tuulkaakhec dhuuch rohr a rhaal de’gaal daan toc och mal huukan rhal!”
“Hallo, Tagec,” says Layla, grinning back.
“So, what do you want from me this time, merthuun?” Tagec asked.
“Tony’s Boot Repair and Pig Butchery, three blocks down,” says Tagec, pointing with his spatula. “Deals in slightly-used weapons from persons who no longer have a life to defend. Mention my name, he owes me. And don’t be a stranger.”
“Right, thanks,” says Layla, heading out the door. “Maybe I’ll bring someone here to eat someday.”
“Seriously, Kakhuur?” the goblin calls after her. “I thought assassination wasn’t your style.”

After a little while, Layla returns to the tavern and slips back into her seat. "Hope I didn't miss anything," she says.

OOC: Not trying to be a buzzkill or anything because I really want this campaign to not only continue, but to actually get underway...but it seems like it isn't happening and nothing has progressed with it for some time. I would post as Thokk, but I just don't see where it would go as I see Astalda and BlueBayou have posted within the last couple posts and nothing has been responded to for either of them. I just wan't to know what it is we should be doing in regards to this campaign?

OOC: Sounds like Zephyrethe has his/her hands full with real life at the moment. I am also wondering if this campaign is effectively over, or if it will come back to life when things become less hectic for our GM.

OOC: That's what I mean I am fine with waiting...I have been patient with this campaign and I really like the setting and the feel of all of the characters, but an update as to when things are going to start kicking off again would be nice.
