As the statue explodes Krom tries to put his shield in front of him while rolling away (14 ).
Unfortunately Krom is not fast enough and several rocks hit him hard. "That will serve me right, I suppose. Anyway I'm glad that we disarmed this trap." says Krom after removing the pieces of stone from his flesh.
He then murmurs a prayer of healing Cure wounds (6 ).
Kazri sees that Krom was not as fortunate at avoiding the explosion, and runs to him. She helps clearing the rubble and helps him get up. "Easy there Krom." She touches the dwarf on his shoulder and casts Lay on Hands on Krom restoring 6HP.
(OCC: Anybody know if there is a tooltip for character/class features like Lay on Hands?)

Chip would also look around for secret doors seeing that everyone is ok after the explosion. "Might as will try looking around one last time before getting out of this place... the dust is settling in my horn.." The brass dragonscaled dragonborn would say as he inspects the walls.

Let me know if you need some real, dragonborn muscle then."He adds, chuckling and shaking his head at first, then staring with renewed interest at the dwarf at work.

"We heard an explosion! Is everyone OK!" They are very interested in the chamber, but understandably disappointed they didn't get to see the statue before it blew up.
"Ah well, them's the breaks I guess. Looks to be the end of the line then. We thanks ya for clearing this place out." Dazlyn remarks.
"That explosion probably would have killed us anyways, so its a good thing you are here." Norbus adds.
"It pretty late now, you are welcome to spend the rest of the night here and head back to Phandalin in the morning if you like." says Dazlyn
"I.. I have fans back at the inn though... They would be devastated if I don't perform tonight..." Chip would say as he hangs his head and rubs the back of his scaly neck. "I would like to try to get back to town if possible but if it is already too late... well.. I guess I will have to try to make it up to them another way.." He would say as his words drip with disappointment.
"You might have to disappoint them tonight Chip. It took a few hours to walk here, it took a few hours or more to explore this place and we took the time to move all of those rocks and it'll take a few more hours to get back to Phandalin. I imagine it's dark or getting close to it already outside. How dwarves like to live underground like this I'll never understand. I need the open sky above me. This piece is a bit too enclosed for my liking. If we stay the night here I might prefer to sleep outside."

The dragonborn would say before slaping the tabaxi on the shoulder with his large hand before looking to the others. "I am ready to get out of here when you are..." He would say rather defeated... He would then hold his horn to his lips and play a few long sad notes.... ***Sad trombone sound.... whhhaaaaa whaaaaa whaaaaaaaaaa***
"I am fine staying inside, but I prefer to stay outside. I just hope that our hosts do not mind." With that said, when everyone is done with the temple, she heads outside to find a suitable location where they can spend the night. (Survival: 13)

As you exit the temple you see that it has indeed gotten dark. There would have been little chance that you would have made it back to Phandalin in the dark. The party settles into the open canyon, just outside the walls of the temple and makes a small camp.

Its during the 4th watch, when Rekuburk and Kazri are up that trouble comes along. Rekuburk sees in the darkness figures entering the main gate of the compound. Orcs!
Chill awakens suddenly by the sound of the attack and Rekuburk and Kazri's warning shouts. He is quickly awake and sees the threat.
Grabbing his crossbow he fires a bolt at the lead orc and then attempts to move back away from the orcs and behind the wall to hide. (to the north side of the partially collapsed, ten-foot-high wall that separates this courtyard from the settlement west of it.)
Chill's bolt hits the first orc square in the chest puncturing it's hide armor. He then slips back behind the wall. (Let me know if I go the spot right.)
I am already thinking about the epic tale / song Chip will have to sing about this....
