Fae would have nodded to Tarja, acknowledging her assumptions about the goblins in the North. Fae's been focusing her eyes in that direction, trying to pick out subtle movements so she could pin point an attack. She was going to position herself beside Zeke, but he too shuffled to the side so she would move ahead to his old position. ((20ft to the north. If I calculated correctly I should be 120ft from them now)).
Fae would close her eyes and take a deep breath to calm any nerves that were sneaking up. At that moment she hears Elra's prayer, suddenly she could feel a blanket of warmth and calm wash over her. Confidence filled her from the support of her comrades and others surrounding her. Fae would pull her hands up above her chest causing her sleeves to fall, baring her arms. Her hands would be cupped with her fingers spread as if she were holding an invisible orb.
A smirk crawls across her face as she opens her eyes. "Fire Bolt". Flames erupt in her palms, lighting up the scars on her hands all down her arms and she'd thrust the bolt forward, hurling it towards a goblin to the north.
Attack: 8 + 4 (Bless) Damage: 3
((lol! Epic womp. I won't even waste a portent on that...))
Ethanwalks up along side Fae, pulling out his Fire Caster.
Ethanholds the handle of the device, bracing it with his second hand underneath, and takes aim down the metal pipe.
When he thinks he has one of the goblinsin his sight he releases magic into the handle, causing it to light up as magic flows up into the device.
A fiery bolt of energy flies out of the device, shooting off in the direction of the northern goblins, as small swirls of magic wisp off of the device in its wake.
Move: North up next to Fae. (I'm assuming we are on the north side of Zeke?)
Action: Cast Fire Bolt at G2: Attack: 16(including Bless) - Damage: 6 fire damage
As all sides reposition, size one another up, and even try to scare the other off, Ethan is the first to strike a blow. He blasts the goblin, whose head is barely above the grass, right in the face, scorching his right cheek and eye and leaving the hooded figure with tiny flames and smoke emitting from the top of his head. The goblin yelps, runs in a tiny circle patting himself down, and then takes off east in retreat, his head still smoking.
The remaining goblin north of the party pulls back his bow once again and unleashes an arrow at the offender, catching Ethan in the shoulder but only to watch the arrow simply clang off of his magically infused armor and snap in half before it hits the ground.
A previously unseen goblin pops up just south of the main hobgoblin pack and unleashes an arrow at the large, threatening tiefling, but the arrow sales wide of Zeke and buries itself in the grass. The goblin just north of the hobgoblins tries to do the same, but achieves much the same result.
The hobgoblin's gestures appear to have summoned the worgs forward as three trot up to their masters and from there begin to dash across the field. One is stopped however by the largest hobgoblin in the center and remains at his side.
The party's newest allies receive a command from the leader in yellow and shift their phalanx north and closer to Ethan and Fae, not straying far from camp but shifting the cover they provide now that they've seen what enemies they know of.
The disadvantage the goblins are getting with their bows at such long distances is certainly beneficial thus far for the party! ;)
Arvel then Tarja are up next. If however more of you would like to try your hand at your next action while I'm gone for two days, the hobgoblin turn is unlikely to change things significantly. They could charge, fire a bow, or turn and run, etc. considering how far off they are. If this would affect your decisions, by all means you can wait too.
Don't forget that nice Bless spell if your character is benefiting from it!
P.S. Let me know if I forgot everything. Still perfecting my PbP DM'ing, my notes in my spreadsheet for this campaign, etc.
'More of them to the south. You halflings watch the rear - I wouldn't be surprised to find them slipping around back there. Shout out if you see anyone!'
Zeke will hold his position just in front of the shield wall - looking to be as large and fierce and scary as possible, trying to draw as much fire and attention his way as he can.
Fae would hesitate, not expecting Ethan to charge up to take aim again so soon, but she was rooting for him. His first hit was perfect, though this second attack, a little questionable. She'd hold her hands up into position at the ready and would look back to Elra with a nod.
((Fae's contemplating whether she wants to attack a new target or finish off G2 who's fleeing. She's not fond of leaving a straggler. So she will hold her position until Elra makes her move (she is ahead of her in initiative) in case she decides to attack either of them to help make the decision for her.))
Elra decides to follow Ethan, but stays just behind the line of shields, watching what everyone else is doing before joining them. Holding her amulet in one hand, she conjures the flames she learned to use on accident and readies the throw them at anyone who might get close enough. (Action: ReadySacred Flame)
Vincent flies above the whole group, watching out to see if any stray arrow fly his way and dodging out of the way of them. (Action: Dodge
Fae would look back to the goblin making a run for it (G2) and release another Fire Bolt
Attack: 12 + 1 (Bless) Damage: 4
Fae would look to her scarred hands and curse under her breath then look up to Ethan at her side, "We'll make the next shots." She would nod encouragingly, more for herself. Fae was mustering up what confidence she had, and looking to even borrow some from her comrade.
Fae would return the smile, even chuckle a little when she hears it's the best he's done at these distances. Ethan did have a positive way of looking at things, and that she appreciated. Hopefully it might rub off on her. Fae would look over her shoulder to shout out to Arvel, "You got another one of those bolts hiding in that walking stick of yours?"
Arvel's blast of arcane force catches the charging worg perfectly in the left eye. It yelps and staggers a bit but then snarls in fury and continues coming at the party and their new friends from Leilon.
The center hobgoblin with the dark ponytail barks an order and points towards the most threatening looking member of the party. The other two nod and draw back their longbows as instructed, aiming high to cover the distance. One black arrow sails over Zeke's head and the other clangs off of the armor on his shoulder.
Fae and Ethan miss as more flaming bolts assault the goblins to the north. The smoking goblin keeps running east in a panic, the other also being unnerved moves in that direction but musters up enough courage to keep firing his shortbow. He manages to catch Fae in the leg for 5 damage. The two goblins to the east also fire at Zeke as instructed, but their arrows merely fall at the imposing figures feat and into the deep grass once again.
Finnan calls back to Zeke "you got it boss!" Farnin adds"nothing gets past us!" as the pair ready their shortbows and crouch within the wagon.
The leader from Leilon commands an advance as the worgs speed up their charge but does not want to undermine Zeke and thus they merely move forward a few feet, clang their shields and spears together, and brace for the attack. As the beasts approach, Tarja and Elra continue to be patient until the timing is just right. Tarja's magic creates an explosion of fire as the center worg approaches, catching it in the flames. Elra calls radiant fire down from the skies and scorches the worg to the north as well.
Tarja can roll the 1d8 fire damage, if you like. Elra can do the same for Sacred Flame.
Don't forget the Bless on Ethan, Zeke and Fae once again this next round!
“Son of a -!” Fae buckles forward, kneeling down on one knee from taking an arrow to the leg. She’d look up to the goblin who attacked her with fire in her eyes, waiting for her turn for a chance at revenge.
(I was tempted interpret it as an arrow to the knee 😂)
After a few breaths, Fae would pick herself back up off the ground, steadying herself on her good leg. She'd stare down the Goblin (G3), raise her hands and launch another Fire Bolt.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zeke takes a deep breath and enters his battle trance (rage but can't get tooltip to work) steps forward and to the left dropping his Kwando low and bringing it up in a viscous arc designed to eviscerate the wounded Worg

These accursed twisted wolves should be no match for us if they get close, hopefully someone else can handle the archers!
She concentrates, and a small flame begins to dance at her fingertips.
When they get here, I’ll be Ready.
