Duke is incapable of eating or drinking, as he was not created with a mouth, digestive system, or need to consume food or beverages to live. So instead, he hangs out with Svana like a person who goes to a party and only knows one of the people there. "Declaration: Even by the standards of this journey, this has been an unanticipated series of events." From someone else, that would be interpreted as a joke or attempt at flirtation. From Duke, it's merely a statement of fact. "Secondary Declaration: I am unsure of the protocol in this situation. I do not require food or drink and as you have been informed, I was not built for social situations."
Ash almost laughs at Jezz's change of mood and she smiles at her. "You see something you like I assume? Do you know what it is we are drinking and eating? I'm... not accustomed to this kind of culinary." She rubs the back of her neck a little in embarrassment and looks down at the dishes they are eating. She will hesitantly sniff her drink before moving to take a sip of it curiously, only mildly trying to impress Jezz with her willingness to try new things.

Step Step Thud reacts with great displeasure to being handcuffed again but whispers reassuringly to the jar of Glabbagool. Once the rival Kuo-toa show up, he quickly sheds the handcuffs and runs for safety, the jar of Glabbagool tucked under his arm.
Now:
Step Step Thud lets out the joyful cooing of a baby and quickly reaches for the nearest alcoholic beverage and some of the delicious food, making sure that Glabbagool receives a little bit of everything he takes.

The little elven girl watched in delight at the dancers in the ballroom, envious at how gracefully they moved across the floor. She was around 10 now, and her dance lessons were coming along nicely, but she didn’t move as beautifully as the women and men did just yet. Toes were still being stepped on, but she had been making small strides towards perfection.
They had estimated that by the time she would be at least 16 she would have mastered ballet, the waltz, and normal ballroom dance, similar to her sisters, and then would move on to more sensual dances (tango, salsa, etc). For now, she would simply observe and take note to not ruin how wondrous everyone looked on the dance floor.
Her brother would take notice of her, sitting at a dining table, literally scribbling notes on dancing, earning her a gentle chuckle. She looks up at him, cheeks red and puffed in embarrassment.
”You know, sitting and writing in your journal isn’t going to make you a better dancer, Sav.” He says, joining her at the table.
”But mother and father says it would!” She retorts. “They don’t want me to dance on the floor just yet.”
”Mother and father say many things, but learning is much easier when you’re actually doing the activity in question.” As he says that, the music changes to a new slow song, and with that he settles down his champagne glass and extends a hand outwards towards his little sister.
”May I have this dance?”
The memory was a sweet one. She remembers how she had stepped on his feet so many times that night he suggested that she just put her feet on his and let him do the work. The day after the gala, Svana had spent most of her time studying magic and dance to a point where she was able to master the waltz and regular ballroom dance at 14. It was a proud moment for her when the gala had been hosted at their estate again and she was dancing alongside her sisters, practically stealing the show.
She watched everyone enjoy themselves on the sidelines with Duke, a cup of some sort of liquor in hand, drinking from it every now and again. She had agreed with his first declaration, giving a soft laugh at the construct at the second. “Truly a series of unexpected events.” She gives a slight shrug and takes a sip of her drink. “At least we’re not shackled and being forced to work again? Silver linings.”

Amara hardly touches her food, although she does eat enough to be polite. She watches the others carefully, making sure her party members aren't separated from the group and keeping an eye on the kuo-toa to make sure they don't try anything funny.
Duke observes the kuo-toa as they eat and drink. He watches them consume alcohol and as it takes effect. "Observation: Consumption of certain beverages causes the kuo-toa to behave in an unusual manner. Inquisition: What is in those beverages that causes that sort of behavior?"

“Yes!” Jezzika smiles, “Some of this food I recognize from back home. It is all safe to eat. Even the wine nearly tastes the same.“ She begins to eat politely, nodding to Ash to do the same. The wine tasted good and was warm going down. After a cup or three her smile was a little wider and she was much more relaxed, the concerns of the last week melted away.

Talike sits at the table with her eyebrows furrowed, looking around with a slightly confused expression. Once the others begin eating, she joins in as well. She seems like she is about to talk, but then she realizes that the fish people don't understand surface-dweller language.
Glabbagool bounces around his jar, excitedly watching all the new people. As Step Step Thud pours food and liquor into the jar, he happily dissolves it. He hops onto the table and pushes the jar towards Svana and Duke, hoping to have a conversation with the two, “How do you guys like the food? I’ve never eaten anything cooked before! Or this “alcohol” either! It makes me feel bubbly inside.”
Glabbagool ponders this for a moment before responding, ”Well, I don’t think I need to eat, but I sure enjoy it! Why don’t you try some? Maybe you’ll like it!”
Svana found it strange that SST wanted to take a piece of Glabbagool with him in a jar, but the slime was quite charming in his own way. It was cute how excited it seemed to see and meet new people and try new things. “I’m quite liking it, thank you.” She answers, although haven’t really touched the food. At most she had a nibble or two, finding that she wasn’t as hungry as some of them were. “What’s you favorite food so far, Glabbagool?”

Glabbagool swirls around some of the food items in his body, seeming to get a taste of them all, ”Well, I’m not really sure. It just feels nice to be full! Say, if you’re not gonna finish that, would you mind tossing some into my jar?”
“Oh! Sure,” She pops open the lid and feeds Glabbagool a piece of fish she had been pecking at (mainly the meat, she preferred the skin) and a potato? She wasn’t sure exactly what the vegetable was. Was it even a vegetable? “Say, Jezzika, what exactly are we eating?”

Glabbagool seems saddened by the fact that Duke has no way of consuming food, “I’m sorry Duke, I’m sure there’s some way we can get you a way to eat food! Don’t worry, everyone here is very brave and smart!
His momentary somberness is quickly interrupted by Svana pouring food into his jar, “Thanks! This is great!“ Momentarily satisfied, he slides off to find other company, “See you guys later! Nice talking to ya!”
Enkindle has been nothing but silently fuming since the ambush. Yet, by the grace of Helm, nothing more comes out of it other than her glaring at Shuushar, and being hesitant to eat without checking first. And even after, assuming nothing is poisoned or the like, she eats tentatively and always with an eye on whatever Kuo-Toa happens to be closer to her at a given time.
