"Hmm. An interesting though. I may need some time taking notes... I don't know how many days it would take but it would probably help if you took notes of what you observe as well. The more data the better. Ask anyone else to help as well. We could get this done in no time -- pardon the pun -- if we all work together on this one. The actual mechanism itself is no problem. Its the data that will require the most work." She sincerely did not mean to pun, she was all business here. She then walks off with a notebook taking notes of any plantlife or wildlife that may be active currently. Her little arcane turret follows her off.

Satisfaction. How did the saying go? 'The enemy of my enemy is also my enemy but I will stab him last.' Or something like that. Ree'lyn smiled. - "An angel, eh? I wonder how far she would let you go into a big mess. Do you know what fomorians are?"
Duke kneels down and shows Ash the inscription on his arm that says in large, bold letters "DISPOSAL UNIT K-3. PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF WATERDEEP." It's in plain view and everyone in the party has seen it many times, unless she really hasn't been paying attention. "Declaration: This was my designation. It said what I was to be called, what I was to do, and who I was the property of. It was my destiny. And then I, along with you and the rest, were stolen and taken to Velkynvelve to be enslaved or sacrificed. That was our destiny. If we went along with our destiny, we would be dead or enslaved. If I went along with my destiny, I would not have people that I have grown close to. I would not have emotions. I would not have sentience. I would be a Disposal Unit, single-mindedly working in the Landfill at Waterdeep so that I would not get replaced. I was not destined to be anything else. Secondary Declaration: I recommend in this situation that you disregard this reading if it does not bring you or those around you happiness. Tertiary Declaration: Thank you."

Ash raises an eyebrow at Duke. "But Duke. That was not your Destiny. This was not any of our destinies. The divine has a plan for all of us, and being enslaved was part of it, but not the whole destiny. Ones destiny is always adjusting, playing out, and developing. Consider this... If you were not enslaved, you would not have encountered me, or Svana, or Amara. You would still be a enslaved robot working for your creator. But a higher power, the ones who determine our destinies, had a bigger plan for you. This... right now... is your destiny. You are always following your destiny. It never ends until you too end. And even then, that was the path you were chosen to live. Live or die, fight or farm, everyone has a destiny, and this is ours. And so we follow it. Oh... and you're welcome."

Duke did not raise any counters to Ash's point, resolving to respectfully disagree with her on things such as destiny and whether higher powers determined everyone's path. After all, wouldn't everyone be a slave if some divine power had their lives planned out for them? Regardless, Duke allowed Ash her beauty rest and went his own way.

"Then I will have to tell you a bit more as well." - Ree'lyn takes his sketchbook. Flips some pages of animals, vegetables, humanoids and all sort of flora and fauna unknown to most of the surface world. - "Some thin layers allow for one to cross between our plane and an ancient plane. An echo of the material plane. There is much more magic in there, and many more enemies. Many more monstrosities." - showing Amara his drawings as he speaks, he finally reaches a few pages showinghideous giants with blistered skin and deformed body.
"When I reach this place, the Feywild, I will be closer to my call. I must face dangers here and there, in order to achieve my goals."
"I also spread shrines everywhere I go. To share with whoever reaches them a glimpse of what I am after."
Amara raises an eyebrow. "Of course." She goes back to her notes on the map, Deya hopping up onto her shoulder.
For the next three days, Deya travels on Amara's shoulder, looking around at their surroundings curiously. Each night, Amara heals people of their madness from Demogorgon. That night, she heals Talike, the next night is Phineas and Quinn, and finally she heals SST and Glabbagool.
Side-tracked by studying Quinn's playing cards before eventually setting them aside to focus, Enkindle turns back to Ash just in time to see her practically jam her cards together. Though uncertain, she tries to work free the words -- to return things back to Ophididians and dreams, only to hesitate again as Duke speaks up. When it became clear to her at least that the warforged would keep her busy, she awkwardly smiles while glancing back and forth between the two... before slowly trying to quietly slip away. Not so far she couldn't keep at least an eye on the pair on the others, but enough to where things weren't so... third-wheely.
Then further still just to be out of easy earshot. Breathing a small sigh of relief upon successful(or so she hoped) extricating herself without disturbing the conversation, her mind drifts back to Ash's words, and then to her own dream. A promise of purpose as more than bad mistakes or as a sacrifice to some primordial god. For that night, and those that followed, Enkindle slept well...
Skip Ahead to Day Thirteen(unless something in between happens):
There were patterns to everything. Despite being a being whose very essence thrived on often times emotional leaps and instinct, you didn't garner more than a fraction of The Watcher's attention by wholly letting such things override one's focus. So, when Svana and Jezzika became just a little close -- or perhaps, stepped away from the others -- Enkindle took note of it. Old concerns bubbled to the surface, leaving the genasi tense and borderline irratitable awhile. And they weren't the only two that were too close and too separate from the rest for comfort. In the past, she might've boldly strode forth to ask what's going on, consequence be damned! But now... Now helm's words played back in her head. Of needing to have faith, and to protect.
Though she scowled upon recalling the vagueness of the words, this too she knew to be important. Eventually, the fire of hair dimmed down, and even a facsimile of the easy-going air about her returned as she set about the task of playing guard. Seen and felt, but generally unheard until broached for something or the call to action came.

Deep red eyes shot open when the bond was broken, Svana sucking in a large gulp of air to only hold it in a few moments before exhaling, a way for her to signify she was back in her own body and no longer deep in the cosmos. Words refused to form as her mind was still in the middle going over all of what she was shown; the birth of evil was not something you see everyday, and as up close and personal as she felt she was. As a way of comfort, Svana took one of Jezzika's hands into hers, her thumb gently rubbing the back of the others hand to signify she was still there, just... Processing.
Finally, after a few minutes, the first words out of her mouth were, "Wow." There was another brief pause, allowing her brain more time to think and remember that words were a thing she could use to communicate. "Wow... I... That was amazing." She looks to the drow with eyes filled with a mixture of emotions ranging from fascination and awe to fear and trepidation, her hand still holding onto the others tightly to keep herself somewhat composed while she rambled. "I-I learned nothing of this in my schooling lessons, nothing close, but seeing it, like I was actually there? What a horrifyingly fantastic sight it was."
When the question was proposed of learning more, there was no hesitation from her. "Jezzika, if you are here to guide me, to help on my journey to find truth, to teach me all of what Umbra has taught you, I am willing to learn anything and everything you both throw at me." She brings their hands up, again, pressing her forehead to the warlocks walm palm. "You have my word." As a way to seal the promise, Svana presses her lips softly on the back of Jezzika’s palm before meeting her eyes again. For a split second, the wizard found herself getting lost in them. “If there is anything you can think of that I can provide to you as repayment for all that you have done for me, a-and all that you have been doing for me, please do not hesitate in letting me know.”

For the next 3 days, Ash had been quiet still, but like she promised Duke, less mopey and broody. She had a slightly calmer aura around her and only talked to others when they spoke to her first. Of course, she couldn't help but notice how closer Svana and Jezz were getting, but she pushed any feelings she had about it to the back of her mind for now.
Now is not the time for that. If I did anything to upset her, she'd tell me I'm sure.
She did however spend those days bombarding Ophidian with questions. Questions that, while he didnt answer, showed her interest in her purpose, of his purpose, and of his history. In all honesty, she couldn't help but feel like she was beginning to annoy him into giving her answers, a method that, while not very effective most of the time, did produce some answers on occasions.
Each night she did her self assigned job, lit the campfire, and slowly the ice particles melted away to the strong flame as it once was. She smiles at others but remained quiet unless spoken to, making a point to stay a little off by herself but available for any needed discussion. She was beginning to feel a little more at peace with her feelings, but not confident enough to ask herself or anyone else questions about them. As an extra note, she did her best to avoid any wine if offered by Ree'lyn, giving him a kind smile and "No thank you, but I'm glad you offered."
She also spent a few hours of the travel contemplating her hair color. While red was her favorite color and as Duke pointed out, it suited her outfit nicely, she couldnt help but feel like it drew too much attention to herself. She'd occasionally ask one of the other group members their opinion if she got the chance to weave it into a conversation. She made it a point to consider changing its color at the next city if it seemed like the best idea, leaving it be for now as there was no way to explain a sudden change to her appearance.
She now just sits next to the campfire on the thirteenth night, watching the flames in thought and peaceful silence, avoiding putting too much interest in anything that could potentially make her moody. If anyone approaches her, she smiles warmly at them and gestures beside her in an offer for them to sit if they would like.

Time and again leaving the party's line of sight to scout ahead, Ree'lyn sometimes took longer than expected to return and declare the safety of the path ahead. Other times he would just opt to get inside a crevice on the wall to check for a side passage or take a side tunnel and disappear for a while before returning to the group.
He never opened his bottle of wine again, although those who had not yet tasted the exquisite beverage were clearly looked for it on him with watered mouth and begging eyes.
The drow spent part of the travel explaining how some creatures that looked like stalactite would attack unaware travelers, or the gas spores would float nearby and incautious people would try and perforate them, just to be met with an explosion and be poisoned; the huge creatures that burrow themselves into the wall of a cavern or passageway, with heads resembling bushel baskets, and gaping maws flanked by pairs of exceedingly sharp mandibles. Other times he would show Phineas some animals, plants and fungi unique to the Underdark, in very specific areas. Sometimes he would refer to rumors of battles and ambushes that he had heard, that would have happened in certain places they came across.
Stool would often ask Ree'lyn to tell more about the fauna and flora and stories he knew about the place they were at, so that soon after being answered he would engage in a telepathic conversation with Glabbagool and tell it what had just been taught him. Now and again he would approach the jar where the gelatinous cube was traveling in, despite the long range of their telepathic communication, just to be in sight range of his new friend.
On day sixteen, we finally came across other forms of life in the Underdark. After almost a week of complete solitude, some of us thought it was a pleasant change of pace to finally find some action, except what we found were five floating brains with barbed tentacles that made horrible screeching noises with their beaks. “Huh, it’s been so long since we’ve encountered such odd and grotesque creatures, I almost forgot we were in the Underdark!” Svana quips as she readies herself for a fight.
