The Darklake was exactly that, dark, but the water wasn't dirty, thankfully. Jezzika could swim, it was part of her training, and she made sure she had everything as she walked on to the shore. She magically made light and kept it above her. She took her teddy bear and wrung it out. "Sorry, Umbra."she muttered, smiling. She humorous imagined that the stuffed animal hated to get wet since it was sentient.
Jezzika, soaking wet, was wringing her hair out, clearly uncomfortable, walked up to Svana. "Hello."she said, dripping. She began taking off her jacket. "When you have a moment, would you mind using that spell to dry my clothes and I up? That would be amazing."
She sat down next to Ash and spoke to her telepathically. "No, not since we entered the Oozing Temple. But I can now, when we're done talking."she offered. "I always want to say that, I find your relationship with Ophidian interesting. I do not question Umbra. Sometimes I might pout and whine and beg at his answers, but I do not question him or challenge him. I truly believe he has all the answers to my questions and desires. So, I remain loyal and subservient because he gives me what I want."
Duke takes Svana aside for a moment, to speak with her on the private psychic channel. "Declaration: Thank you for ensuring that this unit was undisturbed during its processing. It has now been completed. Secondary Declaration: This unit observed how the cube known as Glabbagool went from being mindless to being sentient as a result of outside intervention. It caused this unit to inquire why it could not do the same. Tertiary Declaration: This unit realized that it had begun to do so, because of intervention from humanoids such as yourself. This unit has adapted to learn some humanoid customs and it has learned how humanoids do not view each other as replaceable and instead develop friendships. Quaternary Declaration: This unit considers you to be its friend. Inquisition: Do you consider this unit to be your friend?"
Ash thinks for a minute before shrugging. "I don't typically ask so many questions to him.p But seeing your relationship with Umbra. Well... I guess it made me jealous. Hell, up until recently, I hadn't even asked for Ophidian's name. I hadn't questioned the mark or what it meant? What Ophidian really is? I hadn't really thought to even bother. He's just always been there. And not always by choice. And it's not like he tells me things willingly. He's basically one big mystery in my life that I would at least like some clarity for." Ash moves to dig into her pack and bring out her notebook, offering Jezz to look at the more detailed sketch of the symbol she saw in her dream. "As I'm aware, this is my tattoo... But I don't truly know what it means. I believe that is at least a step to figuring out who Ophidian is. His history. And it could maybe lead to finding out what he wants..."

Quinn begins to unfold his bed roll, and look around and spots the fire, his eyes lock on. He walks a bit vloser to warm himself against the damp dark. He hold his hand out to the fire just for heat (not too close guys, no worries.)
Jezzika listened patiently while Ash spoke, doing her best to think of what to say to help her. She took in all the information and nodded, smiling softly at her and thought for a moment. "I can understand why you would feel that way. If I knew how the Gods worked, or what their intentions were, I wouldn't be here that's for sure."She looked at the tattoo. "That's a beautiful piece of art. I like it. I wonder.."she said, "Where could we begin to try and figure out the answer to your questions?" She snorted in a laugh, and looked off into the distance for a moment. "Look at us. You, a surface dweller, and me, a drow. Talking like friends after everything I've learned in school. I always knew I was different. I guess I always prayed it would be in a good way."
Ash nods and smiles back at Jezzika. "Yeah... I suppose I've always been different too. But different has always been my normal. I suppose in time Ophidian will reveal more to me. But after so many years, just getting a name does not even begin to answer the questions I have as you can probably understand... I just hope I'll get a chance to have them answered... Although I think there may be some kind of connection between you and I?" Ash quietly stows her notebook back in her pouch and pulls out her cards, looking down to them in thought. She looks almost strange with her wet hair slicked back from her face, no longer covering her eye and the fading bruise from the previous beating that she had forgotten about.

As soon as they got out of the water, the first thing Svana did was clean herself off. Swimming in that murky water was nothing but unpleasant and she felt like a wet dog getting out of it. When they began to set up camp, the wizard went around asking if anyone needed a magical cleaning, and just as she finished with one, Jezzika had approached her. "Absolutely, of course," She answers easily, and with a wave of her finger, a sheer white glimmer enveloped the female drows frame (and her teddy bear), cleaning her up as if she had never swam in those waters in the first place. She gives her an affirming nod., proud of her work and says, "I hope that will do!"
The wizard watched the warlock off, turning to ask someone else in the group if they would like to get clean, but Duke had grabbed her attention and took her aside. She blinked up at him in confusion at first when he finished talking, and blurted out, "Yeah, duh--" She covers her mouth, her cheeks reddening in embarrassment at how unladylike it was. "E-excuse me," She clears her throat. "I mean, yes, Duke, I do see you as a friend. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have gotten out of those shackles..." Her look softens, a hand rubbing at her wrist remembering their weight and how worthless they made her feel. "Not to mention you saved me from being stuck in those rocks, and when the ooze attacked me, you went straight for it when there were other ones on the field." She gives a little shrug and looks up at the construct. "I would be foolish if I didn't consider you a friend after all that."

She seems calmer, glad for the distraction from her patron troubles.

In response to Svana, Duke kneels and hugs her, a gesture that it picked up from watching Jezzika and Huey. It takes care to not apply so much force that it breaks any bones or suffocates her. "Declaration: Thank you for being my friend."
After unceremoniouslysliding off of Duke upon reaching land, a sour and thoroughly Enkindle had taken to laying face first against the ground a ways from the others, Beforelong visible pillars of steam rose from her body as what water clung evaporated under the heat of her body. As per the usual, she gives away little to having overheard much even when spoken aloud, but turned her head just enough to view the camp after Quin spoke up. Whereas Anger and Mild Annoyance were quick to surface, confusion and suspicion are not far behind to cross her features.
As the streams of steam about her dies down until only thin wisps remain wafting off, a solemn faced genasi works up the will to shift about onto her bottom, and look to the others to see if any might go first. "I.... I got my march'n orders, so I left. 'nd... honestly that's all there is to it. Granted, my orders had nuthin' to do with being this deep underground, but-..."She shrugs helplessly, a sheepish grin briefly touching her lips before her expression turns stern but expectant on Quinn.
Ash smiles and laughs a little. "Well... Main Tarot decks consist of major and minor arcana. Both combine to create a deck that essentially tells ones destiny. There are 22 major arcana and 4 minor arcana cards. Each card has a different meaning on it's own. I typically use them to guide me in my journey. It's more of a nightly ritual thing... So let's see here..." She shuffles the cards for a moment before sitting them in a neat stack, taking the top and sitting it to the side, offering Jezz the rest of the stack to look through (something she doesn't ever do. No one touches her cards but her) as she closes her eyes for a moment. She then takes the single card and flips it, looking at it for a moment before she let's out a nervous awkward chuckle and blushes slightly. "The um... High priestess. Represents sexuality, mystery and higher power. Reversed, it means that one Lacks self understanding and is preventing human desire that they may require. It often suggests following intuition and exploring ones general desires. Typically through human connections." Ash looks back to Jezzika, brushing away stray hair again as she looks through the tarot cards. "The fool, magician, high priestess, Empress, Emperor, heirophant, lovers, Chariot, strength, Hermit, wheel of fortune, Justice, Hanged man, death, temperance, Devil, tower, Star, moon, sun, judgement, and World are the major arcana. While the minor arcana are the suits of cards, wands, swords, and Pentacles."
Ash glances to Quinn for a moment. "Oh and Quinn. I believe I was kidnapped. I got too drunk and woke up here. That's all I can remember..."
Once she has crawled out of the Darklake, Talike sits down next to the fire in an attempt to dry herself off.
"I don't really know what happened. I was out hunting in the afternoon, and then I found myself in my tribe's campsite at night. I must have blacked out or something. The drow only got to me when I was looking for my family."
"Oh!" The hug surprised her, her body going stiff for a moment before she relaxed herself and gave in, hugging Duke in return. How long had it been since she last received a hug? "I... It is no problem at all, Duke." She pulled away from its embrace with a smile. "And thank you for being mine."

Jezzika smiled as Ash explained the card, taking care to make sure she wouldn't soil her cards. They had interesting symbols and pictures on them, and she was as careful as possible when handling them. They were very well used, and she liked the pictures. "Sexuality, mystery, higher power.."she repeated, a cute smirk on her face, as if the card were really telling Ash something. "Interesting!"she admitted truthfully.
