Korsh remains silent but nods his thanks to the woman. He waits for her to leave before talking.
"So ? One of you wants to go and get our answers ? I m not very good at stealth but I'll help anyway I can. Also the woman, " he points to the serving girl, " might know someone in the town who has either rebelled or joined up with the enemy. They may be in the know."
“I think Thasa and I can go. I can make myself and him invisible and we would have an hour or so of undetected Investigation.”, Misery mumbles as he rubs head. What in the everliving **** was that? Since when do I hear voices?, his thoughts were tethered around this topic as he devoured breakfast.
(OOC: should each of us subtract 4 gold or 1g per person)
Misery pays 1gp for himself and telepathically tries to reach the inhabitants of the ring, Oi. Maybe tell me your name at least? How’d you end up there?
My name is Lady Olivia Von Pewters Orloski Tritennium Volen and you should address me as such. How I ended up in this ring is quite a long story from a long time ago, that I don’t feel is necessary to tell at this juncture. What I’m interested in is a new story, yours should do. I haven’t been entertained in years...
So the plan is to split up? Tell me any points of interest you would want to look into? If you’re being stealthy roll stealth, and either roll a Perception or Persuasion (if asking for help) roll to find what you’re looking for.
Shelley gives 2gp "A thank you for being kind to us."
"I don't know if the four of us should split up. I think we need to stay together, maybe Korsh and I can give you distance to allow you to go in quiet."
”Perhaps we should stay in a set distance from each other, so each of us can have eyesight of the other. I think my skills would be more useful in more of a social way of gathering information, and, hey, maybe I’ll manage to convert some o’ these people to light of Torm”, Misery stands up amd walks around the tavern a little, and tries to remember the name of the person in the ring, if it has any historical meaning. Oh, shall I? We’ll see about that. Whatever you did, you are stick in there and I’m bloody not, eh? Hehe.
History: 8, I’m going to use inspiration to reroll, 11
"I don't believe I have skills that might be related to what we are aiming for." Korsh says then grins " Unless you want me to play the evil follower."
"But more seriously there might be some sick or people who need my help. I ll go to the local " Korsh stops and turns toward the woman " Are there any priests left here or healers ?"
Misery: you have no idea who this lady is, or any historical significance.
The voice responds “for now..... just don’t come crawling back to me when you’re knee deep in dragon hellfire and want knowledge to get out. I guess that could be entertaining too.”
in response to Korsh’s question. The woman wipes off her hands on the apron, drying them off. “Well there was a temple to Chauntea in the town, but that dragon torn it down when he arrived. There isn’t supposed to be any worship other than to him. The kobolds make sure of that if it’s out in public. There is a cleric named John. He’s been staying in the mill on the North side of town. There also followers of Selûne given the history of the lake and all. But when the Ash Lord arrived he burned down all religious and any semblance of guards or patrols in the area.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Right then, I’ll go ahead and ask around in the town for information, and shall we meet here when we finish? I think me and Thasa can gather information in town, while Korsh and Shelley can visit Cleric John. Or you can come with us and we can visit the Cleric after we collect the information”
"I would be happy to join you, I think a few people moving around is better than a large group so I think we should split up, cover more ground." Thasa nods in agreement to Misery's proposal.

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
Misery and Thasa head out into town, watching the activity of the merchants and townsfolk. You notice that people don’t stop to chat or relax too long outside. Under the watchful gaze of the kobolds hopping and flapping along the rooftops. Seems everyone spends as little time outside as possible. Walking into a general goods store Glentral and Sons. You are greeted at the door by a half elf man with three young children running about the store. It’s filled with farming equipment and minor adventuring supplies. There is a dwarf perusing some of the equipment and two humans standing at the counter having a conversation. The half elf - young pointed features with soft golden hair, blue tunic and pants. “Haven’t seen your faces around, what can I do for you?”
Korsh and Shelley make their way to the north side of town. Near the edge of town a small field of wheat overgrown with weeds as two old oxen lie in the shade. A stone tower stands three stories tall with a crooked wooden door placed over the entrance.
Leaving the conversation for Misery, Thasa begins to gently read the minds of the people around starting with the owner, not spending long enough on anyone that they would know.

Misery nods to himslef amd steps up towards the counter. “Yes, hello. We just wondered if we could speak in private for a moment?”, Misery winks, leaning one elbow on the counter and beginning to tap out a rhythm with his fingers.
Misery and Thasa: The two men kind of stop or at least slow and lower their conversation. The half elf chuckles lightly “Well this is a private establishment, can’t really get more private then that, especially these days.”
Korsh, Anborn, and Shelley: peering into the old mill, it smells of old composting grass and moth balls. A small chair and bed are in the corner with a small altar next to it with incense burning. A human male sitting in meditation with long think brown hair. “What can this servant do for you?” He replies without flinching or opening us eyes.
