He looks at the others and points toward the old mill. "Maybe its time to get some help, scrolls, and potions if the old priest can spare them. We might need them when the dragon comes knocking."
Thasa - Scanning the crowd you don’t catch any glimpses of people having any allegiance to the Ash King. You hear whispers in you had like tuning a radio. People feeling emboldened to go join the resistance at Mulptar, some want to flee to N’jast or Kront. Others want to make a break for it and flee far away to the south seeing the kobolds are gone. Some plan to stick to their basements and cellars if anything happens.
Korsh - looking around you do see the priest from the Mill amongst the crowd. He is helping route traffic and sort through the items on the cart, bringing peoples possessions back to them.
Misery - the crowd seems to take the words to heart and begin to focus at the task at hand, whatever that may be for each individual. The questioning and arguments subside.
A voice speaks in the back of your head “Well that was a close one! You are going to be a fun one to watch. If you got taken out by some kobolds, care to take a wager what the big bad dragon might do to you? As the voice begins to chuckle a bit.
"A fe-- who said that?!" Shelley scans the crowd for the chuckling voice.
Perception: 5
"We are here to do good by good people. While you heckle our efforts -- we will still attempt to carry you to the other side, we will not abandon this town or this fight!"
(Sorry, I’ve always put those interactions in spoilers for Misery I forgot this time. It’s a voice from his mind shielding ring. It appears there is already a soul inside. That’s my bad. Shelley or anyone but Misery wouldn’t have heard any of that.)
Turning to the others Thasa comments "They will do their best, as they see fit, I do not see our future here in this place, but where shall we head? To Mulptar and the resistance? We are short of other leads as I see it, we must hope today's slight to the power of the Ash King makes him wary, not angry enough to raze this place to the ground but either way I think we should move on. We cannot truly protect them forever from here, better to work or removing the threat at the source in some way."
After a while, the priest that half the group met before walks up to the group as he is finished dispensing the wares and goods from the cart back to the people. “Well I guess I’m going to have to stay behind, these people are going to need access to healing when that ole dragon rears it’s head back this way. I’ll do my best to to get them out, but you know people can be real stubborn. Once available I think I’ll make my way to Mulptar. I wish I had some things available to you, but I have to keep a reserve for the people, you understand. If you’re looking for supplies, go to the forests in the West, just passed Kront. One of them Mystic folk lives in there... just look for a giant turtle. Other than that I’m sure every other town in the area is just like what we were doing here. They could use your help too. Just be weary of that other Giant. He’s sure to be wandering around the roads, he might not look like much. This one here” as he points over his shoulder, much bigger than the other. Looked different too. Anything else I can do for help, you just let me know.”
“We’ll look out for that. I think we should go to Mulptar, but also visit all of the towns that are in our way. We have to raise awareness of a resistance growing”, Misery suggests still a little dizzy and then mentally answers the ring, at least I’m still ******* alive. And hey, did you see Shelley and others? With these folks I’m not likely to die. What do you think we should wager?
"Thank you, I think we should go see this mystic turtle... we will need to artillerize ourselves as best as possible if we are to take this on." Shelley finally puts her glaive away. "We should move swiftly. How far is Kront?"

Lady Olivia replies “Well you are right.... you maaaay stand a chance. Don’t think all enemies will be bull headed to stand and trade blows with her. Wager? You have nothing I want, but maybe a bargain? I’m in here protecting your mind from others already, but maybe I can offer some advice here and there to help you along in your glorious quest. Ensuring your survival so that you can get me out of this ring?
And how would I do that? Tell you what, maybe you can tell me something about yourself, and then we’ll see. After all, you know so much about me and I so little about you.
“All you Have to do is bring this ring to my body. Once the ring is on my finger, my soul will leave the ring. Leaving it empty for you... we can go our separate ways after that. I have faced many a daring foe in my time. I had an unfortunate ending result with a battle against a Balor. The fiend fell.... turns out they explode upon their death. I do have knowledge of many things.
"I think we do as he says, let's collect our gear, head for the North Road with all speed and try and find this person, then if we have the equipment we need we press on, look to kill the other giant, that isn't the same as the giant we just killed and then onwards towards the rest of the towns looking to stir up and organise resistance against the Ash King. Did I miss anything?"
Thasa looks ready to depart immediately.

Gathering your things to travel, you look back to see the townspeople begin combing over the body of the Giant. Seemingly now taking their turn looting and picking what they can, now that you have let it be.
you begin to travel the road northward. By the setting of the sun you see the edge of the forest that was mentioned to you. It’s at this moment you begin to think about making camp. A thunderous rose rolls across the plains from unknown distance, the ground begins to quake. The tremors fierce and relentless for what seems like minutes on end. The ground slowly stops rioting under your feet. All is still and quiet it seems.
Perception check DC 20:
You notice the peak of the mountain range to the east. Though miles and miles away, is significantly taller than prior to the quakes.
It’s just turned night time you’re on the edge of the forest. The path you have taken is the division line of plains and trees. What would you like to do?
(Sorry to kind of jump ahead, but want to get the game rolling again)
You all go to rest for the night waking up in the morning as the sun has risen but an hour or two ago. The orange haze that has surrounded you and filled every breath still lingers in the air. Everything looks the same until you look southward and see Giant plumes of black smoke billowing high in the sky. You guess at sometime during the night, Kexyldrannis retaliated against the town. The errant kobold flies by in the air from time to time, but does not engage.
You make your way into the forest and begin wandering the forest, and through the thick jungle like woods. After sometime it seems the sun is all but hidden from behind the canopy.
Half way through the day you happen upon what looks like tracks of a very large, flat footed creature. Four large circular feet March their way through puddles and mud, a line in the middle draggin behind, maybe a tail. Following the tracks you see in the distance, what looks to be a humanoid riding at a slow pace on a creature. A large pack rests behind it, and sticks of incense are stuck to the beast as it waddles away.
