Korsh gets up. "Yes let's see how this plays out. I ll go and wake the others. "
Once that is done he comes back.
" I'm not sure we should stay hidden. Someone is bound to have seen us and they are going to talk. Should we mingle ? Someone here is gathereing offerings and they might ask us to pitch in. I won't submit to that."
"No, I will not lose anything precious to these thieves either, but then I think we should be careful not to risk the locals by sparking off a pitched battle." Thasa removes the mask he always wears, his elven features visible in the morning light amber flecked eyes giving a careful examination to the hawk-like shaping of the mask. Slipping the mask into his pack and securing it carefully he shoulders the pack. "Probably better not to advertise the magical items we carry too carefully, I can't see us being able to persuade them to leave those without extreme bloodshed."
He stands, as the others are readying themselves. "I will continue with my plan to stick to the shadows, if you seem to be in danger then I will be ready to strike and if not I may be able to observe the pattern of this process."
Thasa intends to find a position where he can observe the offerings from a safe-ish distance, preferably up high but not if it seems likely to attract the attention of the flying kobolds. Otherwise he will try and find an alleyway or similar to observe from.

OOC: The whole group was woken up before leaving. Preferably with them. Not trying to be stealthy just not blending in and staying away from the proceedings. But i 'll reserve my move deênding on what my companions decide to do.
”**** off! I’m bloody sleeping. Eh? What offerings? Right, right, the ******* flying pepper. Right, coming down.”, was Misery’s response when he was awoken by Korsh. He runs his hand through his hair and picks up his violin, playing a slow tune on it as they went down. Once they are out of tavern he will follow the group towards the offering space. “Remember the giants were supposed to come today? Maybe we’ll see ‘em there”
It isn’t difficult to find where the “offering” is supposed to be taking place. A large crowd has formed down in the North end of town. The kobolds send quick shadows on the ground as they fly over head. Perching themselves and fighting for spots on the roof, while others... not winged are on the ground. A very large cart/wagon is stationed on the road, not attached to any beast of burden. There are murmurs amongst the crowd, but it seems no knee is daring to speak aloud. The hot hazy wind is a sharp contrast to the cold and morose aura of the town.
You see some kobolds, bright red scales; larger than there brethren. Spears strapped to their backs. Walking amongst the crowd while holding sacks open and allowing the bystanders to place their belongings in. Throwing the large sacks into the cart as it slowly fills up. You see coin purses, decorations, torch sconces. Anything the can be perceived as valuable is being offered. An elderly man walks up and ties a malnourished goat to the cart side before he attempts to hide back in the crowd.
A kobold jumps up and rips a necklace off a woman as she begins to scream and resist. Another kobold comes by and pushes her down. The crowd quickly pull her into the crowd in an attempt to quiet her. The cart is 90% full before it turns into silence as the group of kobolds step aside. It’s quiet as the wind whistles through the crowd. Muffled cries and angered voices provide a low hum. That’s until you begin to hear the footsteps. Heavy thuds in a slow pace begin to rumble the ground.
Trees separate as the towering presence of an eighteen foot tall. Adorned in A deep deep black armor that shines in the sun. You can’t tell if it’s made is a polished black steel or volcanic rock as the jagged spikes on the pauldrons jut out. Dragging a hammer behind him, black as his armor. Sparks fly in the air as it hits rocks. Bright orange hair flows down as he seems to be radiating ash and soot himself. A bright golden belt strapped across his abdomen. Over his shoulder is a boulder sized rock wrapped in heavy chain. Glowing red with embers. He inspects the wagon and looks to the kobolds to finish.
(you’ve heard stories or may have even seen giants in your past. Tales that tell of their tremendous height and strength.... but their weakness was their below average intelligence and gluttony. Often stories tell of large bellies and lazy attitudes. You look at the Giant before you and it can’t be further from the truth. Impossibly fit for something so large, with a look of astute discernment)
He bellows with a deep and loud voice. “The Ash Lord wants more.” He moves forward towards the crowd and picks up a woman and throws her into the cart. The crowd screams and resists, but is quickly beaten back by the kobolds before they calm back down. The Giant turns begins to pull the cart away and walks away.
The crowd begins to disperse leaving the family of a man and two children crying over their taken member.
(you stand in the town, Giant walking away and anywhere from 20 - 40 kobolds around)

Ah, ****. Misery looks at Shelbey with slight confusion and shrugs. He then turns towards the giant that is walking away and shouts at him in Giant, “Oi, you walking pepper. Your kind used to ******* kill those lizards, and now you are slaving your life away for’em, eh? Don’t tell me 2 giants couldn’t kill that thing. You are just bloody cowards, or just too stupid to think out of given commands. Listen, why don’t you leave the offerings to these kind people and **** off to your lizard daddy? Or maybe even help us stop him?”
So, I think Misery is going to cast Suggestion to leave the offerings here, DC 16, but also he just generally is trying to persuade the giant to rebel and join them, if that’s ok, Persuasion: 15, if it’s intimidation then it would be 24
Misery will also give an inspiration to anyone who wants to make a roll, d8
(I think generally speaking, calling something a name , telling them they are a coward or stupid, and to **** off, would be classified under intimidation. At least that’s how it’s going to be interpreted. Do you want to change your post?)

Thasa curses under his breath as any possibility of stealth flies away in a matter of moments as Shelley and Misery do everything they can to attract attention. The eladrin checks his bowstring is taut, running his fingers over the feathers of an arrow but pausing as the giant focuses on the Tiefling.
As a preemptive measure he begins to scan the giant for signs of weakness in his armour and how he carries himself, looking for gaps in his defence that a well placed arrow could find.
Insightful Fighting (Insight) 19
I'm hoping that Thasa could position himself in a spot where he could easily see the giant, about 50'or 60' away without any kobolds being right on top of him. He would move in order to achieve that result if necessary.

Korsh rumbles through the all proceedings and smiles a toothy grin when Shelbey speaks.
He steps in the road and searches for the kobold that will fly away. He shouts at Thasa.
" Get the ones that try to flee."
Investigation : 16 if Perception +2 (instead of +6 )
I’m having a hard time clearly understanding what you’re attempting to do. Are you trying to follow a kobold that’s walking away from the village? Or just a random one down an alley? What are you trying to perceive/investigate? Is this all within sight of the proceedings of Shelley talking to the Giant or hidden?
So Korsh is not stealthy so he will step into the open and move toward Shelbey.
He is also looking for the flying kobold who seem to be leaving the area to report to his master. We were told by the priest to deal with those first. Seemed like a good plan.
The Giant pauses for a moment without turning back at Shelley’s plea. He starts to continue ignoring her bargain as Misery begins to insult the Giant. The Giant stops and turns around. Keeping a stoic demeanor he grabs the peasant woman from the cart. Bringing her back into the town square, tossing her down with a thud as she rolls in the dirt.
She begins to crawl away as fast as possible while staying on her hands and knees. As she makes her getaway, his brow furrows. His voice booms “ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY? “. As he scolds Misery At this point you realize he must have been close to a whisper before as his yell shakes the buildings around you. The kobolds all begin jumping up and down in fanatical excitement. The Giant continues. “The next one to run their mouth will find themselves under my hammer”. Turning to Shelley “Anyone rose willing to sacrifice themselves to The Ash King, step up!”
Taking steps to follow the crawling woman, for the rest of you this is a reminder there is no saviors from Kexyldrannis’ rule!” He picks up the woman by her left ankle and between his two fingers snaps her ankle before dropping her down on the ground. She screams in agony.
the kobolds are all but cackling with glee. None seem to be trying to leave at the present moment.
Korsh gets up. "Yes let's see how this plays out. I ll go and wake the others. "
