"Sound like a plan Kelden...wait for me Waltyr I wanted to check out the wares as well so meet back here in about an hour or two!" Following Waltyr out the door towards Barthen's Nikolaus says to Waltyr "Well that went better than I expected was worried it be a fight over employment but looks like we have a pretty good band forming!"
Waltyr smiles as Nokolaus joins him. "I know we could make more coin just the two of us like we used too, but sharing the load on these jobs may mean we can make a lot more in the long run. Should give us plenty to get wherever you're wanting to end up. I quite like that dwarf too. I don't see much causing the two of us many problems with his boisterous mouth around drawing the attention." Waltyr stretches a little as he relaxes. Waltyr always seemed more at piece moving from one place to another. Sitting idle at the inn listening to a tale or two always makes him seem fidgety for some reason.
Kelden turns to Archie: I would like to pay this Harbin Wester a visit and see if I can get any information about what this weapon might be and maybe about what we have to expect from this Adabra Gwynn. Archie, do you want to join me?
He waits for a second for Archies response and if any of the others want to join. Then he will leave the Inn towards the townhall to find Harbin.
“Sure thing! It seems like the best route to get an idea of what to expect. Lead on, as always, I got your back.” Archie is all but gleaming in every sense of the word. A big dumb smile on his face he’s trying to hide and his pupils and hair radiating a golden hue.
Ooc: as stated in the Ooc thread, let’s assume Herman and Kelden knew each other already, so let’s just say Herman followed Kelden first in the inn and then outside
Herman is a young pale skin human , with dark brown unkempt hair and long dark mustaches.
He wears light clothes for the season because he wears a wolf pelt whose head works as a hood.
His main weapon cannot go unnoticed: a great sword
he joins the discussion at the table. At the remark of not wanting a drink (he ordered only water) , he replies at Kelden
“it’s your cook friend’s fault , Kelden, I don’t know what he put inside those quails but I have all my bowels upside down!”
anyway he is interested in the dwarf stories (he would like to know him better just to mock him) and asks few questions to whom is able to hunt (he is interested).
He gets up from the table together with Kelden and in front of the board, he asks to Kelden if he can read it aloud (it would take a good deal for him to read it all though) and then he states :
”I’d say we start from good old hag , shall we do it alone you and me or do you want to involve also the others we met at the inn, they may come handy in other adventures...25 gp is not much bbut indeed is much just to get an elder from a place to another,my... I wonder: where is the bad catch here?”
[[OOC: Seems like you are splitting the party, with some going to Barthen's Provisions, and some going to seek out Harbin Wester.]]
Barthen's Provisions:
You enter the modest store overhearing two young men arguing over how many adventurers there were in the tavern last night. They clam up as you enter and the blond-haired one with fuzz on his cheeks says, "Can we help you with anything?" The store appears well stocked with goods and supplies. [[OOC: All basic equipment less than 25gp can be found here, but no armor or healing potions.]]
Harbin Wester:
The innkeeper tells you, "Harbin used to conduct business in the townmaster's hall, but he's now become a virtual shut-in since the dragon appeared. If you insist on taking to him before going on one of his quests, he lives a few doors down, green house, freshly boarded up."
You approach the green house cautiously and knock on the door. You he a nervous male human say, "If you’re a dragon, know that I’m far too thin and bony to make a good meal!”

Waltyr looks over the room as he enters. He walks up to the man that greeted him and replies, "My friend and I are new in town. We were hoping to purchase a map of the town and its surroundings." Waltyr gives the other man a nod of acknowledgment. He then spends a little time taking in what supplies are around him making special note to look for a Healer's Kit and possibly Calligrapher's Supplies. With any time permitted, he'd look at any of the traditional garments that may be on sale just to get an idea of what the townsfolk here wear.
Waltyr, not the best at casual conversation, asks the men, "Quite the storm that passed through overnight. Does that happen often in these parts??"
Waltyr tries to get an impression of what the two men think of the newcomers to town. He also looks for anything out of place in the shop.
Insight for the men's reaction to newcomers: 23
Perception to see if anything looks out of place: 17
OOC: I have 15g to spend. The healer's kit shows as 5g and the calligrapher's kit shows 15. Waltyr would reluctantly attempt to barter away his jewelry from home for maps if he feels like he needs to.
(OOC): I'll assume Thrann went with those that went to Barthen's Provisions.
Thrann steps into the shop stroking his beard as he browses their wares. Two things immediately catch his eye. Fishing tackle and Caltrops (bag of 20).
"Oi blondie, how much fer th' fishin' gear 'n' caltrops? Ah lost mah fishin' supplies back whin ah wis fishin' 'n' git attacked by a giant crab." Thrann says to the shopkeeper in a polite tone. He glances to the others that he accompanied to the shop with. "Crab bridie is ferr th' delight if ony o' ye haven't tried it. Ah definitely wid recommend eatin' crab bridie. Mibbie ah kin hunt some giant crab fer ye if ye'r interested some time."
"I'm always willing to try local delicacies once," Waltyr says. "So long as you'll prepare it as well that is!" Waltyr thinks back to the times that he had fished with Nikolaus on the shore. They'd always get enough to eat for a couple days each trip but he couldn't recall a time he'd been run off by a giant crab. A small smile crept onto his face as he thought about all the tales of the wilderness he was going to hear from Thrann.
Kelden turns to Archie and whispers: Now you get to see the impact a noble name can have on common civil servants. In a louder voice, he says:
I think I'm quite the opposit and I can't imagine a dragon would knock on someones door. My name is Kelden Faroso Siegfried von Fellbach and I'm here to help you with your little...cold-blooded problem. In fact, I'm accompanied by a group of verry capable men and we are more than happy to help you with the tasks you put on that board in front of the town hall. We came to you to clarify some things of strategic importance. Maybe you could open the door and we could continue this discussion inside. If you wan't your problems solved that is.
Walking into Barthens Provisions behind Waltyr and Thrann Nikolaus begins to inspect the wares exited to stock up before heading out and listening to Thrann says "Mmmm Crab dose sound quite delicious I don't think i have ever had it before."Looking through the wares Nikolaus picks up a Tent, a map case, and pay for a map of the area if Barthens has one available.

Keldens rather pale skin turns to a slightly more redish color. He turns to the others and keeping his voice low he says: Well, not everybody is endowed with the gift of sanity.
Turning to the door he says: Good sir, I respect your desire for the safty your home can provide...against a dragon. So tell me then, that weapon these gnomes might have, do you have any idea what that might be? Are ther rumors about it? Have you or anybody seen what they build? Would it be something small and transportable or a larger device?
This Adabra Gwynn we are supposed to get, can she make the trip by foot or do we have to bring some kind of mount to get her? Speaking of mounts, can the town provide some? Glancing at his purse he adds: Maybe for loan?
Kelden wants to figure out if Harbin is just a bit paranoid or outright crazy and if he can be trusted as trade partner . Insight: 17

You get to talking with the two young men and they answer your questions. The rain was a little heavier than usual but sudden storms aren't too uncommon this time of year. They ask you if you're here about the dragon. “Some folk claim to have seen a dragon flying through the high clouds. At that distance, it’s hard to gauge the creature’s size, but some say it’s as big as an elephant and has gleaming white scales.”
Watlyr finds the two items he was looking for and hands the man coins to cover the cost. "I appreciate your assistance. This map will be very beneficial." Watlyr looks it over taking special care to notice the landmarks and details. He listens as the man points at the different places that the quests lead. "Anything else we should know about the region before heading out? Would hate to get caught out of sort by something we could easily handle if we'd known about it."
"The dragon sounds like quite the creature. Has anyone dared to attempt to find its lair?" Waltyr opens up his pack and stores the kits safely in his backpack. He also takes one of the maps he was offered and rolls it up to store with the map from his homeland.
He looks to the others that had joined him, "Were you able to find everything you need? Do you think the others need any supplies while we're here?"

"Adabra can make it here and back on foot in a day if she needs something. She has friends throughout the town, Sister Garaele, who runs the Shrine might put her up."
"I'm afraid I can't really due much as far as offering mounts, as the 'town' itself doesn't own any mounts."
