"So, are you all ready for departure?" In front of you four stands Danvan Felbis, Highest ranking general of the Liathian enpire. "Remember, your mission is of highest priority. Do whatever it takes to not get discovered. We can't keep this war going for much longer." He steps up to Brill and hands him an envelope. "in here you find informations on your first target. A rather small creature besides the big fish that will wait for you to catch them. Go to Estrewood, and don't open the envelope until you arrive there. Now, that is all there is to say. I wish you all good luck in your task"
You all remember Estrewood to be a small city on the edge of the empire, but relativly unscathed by the events of the war. It is known within the empire for its delicous tea, that it exports to all major cities within the kingdom.
Now if there are things you want to deal with before you depart, this is the time.
OOC: i might post a map of the individual kingdoms if you are interested, but it wont be needed.
Erred eyes the envelope but bites back a sarcastic response, rubbing his bruised wrists and grimacing slightly. He eyes his companions of necessity, sizing them up and noting physical descriptions, in case he needs to instantly recognize them in a crowd. Erred himself is a halfling of shorter than average stature. He is unusually tan for his comfort loving race, and his large-nosed face is topped by a ragged crop of short, brown hair. His eyes are a bright green, quick nearly to the point of being fidgety, and his fingers are never completely still, always touching the hem of his stained blue shirt, rubbing the outside of a pocket or making odd little signs to himself.
He stays quiet for the moment, waiting for someone else to speak first.
I think taking note of the other characters is not necessairy as you have not seen each other for the first time. You have met already at other briefings and have done some training with each other. However i do appreciate a quick visual descripion of the characters none the less.
Brill reaches with his left hand, takes the envelope, and tucks it into a pocket inside his coat before saluting. His right arm is amputated just above the elbow, and the sleeve there hangs loose, rather than being pinned up as is common. He’s tall, and has the look of a man who never quite recovered his soldier’s physique after the arm came off. Dark hair and a handsome face turned sour by years of suffering and war. That said, he has the mannerisms of a Private through and through.
“General Felbis, Sir. Are we to assume we are acting without any further contact, support or supervision, sir?”
"Estrewood?" Asks the wood elf standing to the right of Brill. Light green, flowing hair tight in a ponytail revealing a chiseled, indifferent face. Piercing blue eyes, set deep within their sockets, watch eagerly as Brill accepts the envelope from General Felbis. Scars reaching from the bottom of the right cheek , first running towards his fairly big lips and ending on his right nostril leaves a heartbreaking memory of his unfortunate past. But nonetheless, people tend to take pride in knowing him as a friend, while wanting to fight along his side in battle. This is the face of De’ran D’ran. "We must make haste if we are to get there before our target escapes."

"If necessary I will chase the target to the end of the world to deliver divine justice! It is impossible to escape from this destiny!" Gryak proclaims while holding the amulet bearing holy symbols that he wears around his neck.
"Destiny has always been fickle" replies De'ran. "Nature, she's the one who always maintains the same path. She sustains those who cultivate her and treat her well. She'll show us the way." He pats Brill on the shoulder as he follows him

Brill looks thoughtful for a moment before shrugging and saying “I can’t say I’m certain of how that’s done, but if it’ll give us even an ounce of advantage over the enemy, you can explain as we go.” His tone is a tad on the bitter, disdainful side, but you can tell he means every word of it.
And as he continues to walk, he calls back over his shoulder “Stay with us, Erred. Wouldn’t want some guardsman to recognize you and send you on back home without a chance to explain, would we?” Again, he cant help but speak with a mixture of bitter amusement and sarcasm common to veterans who’ve seen the bad end of a battle. Dark humor and serious warning in equal measure.
I'd say we leave after having gotten enough supplies for the journey unless someone has something else to do.
I'd say some food and water as well as some medical supplies would be good. I doubt we can get a cleric to come with us but Gryak would at least suggest bringing one while getting the supplies.
Brill will stop off at the armory. He’ll look at the quartermaster there and say “Sarge. I’m shipping out, and I’m hoping that means you can help equip this soldier with something a little more serious. A chain shirt and shield. Think the stores will manage without them? I’ll owe you one.”

"As of now, you are on your own. Now step away and fullfill you mission" he also salutes respectfully.

"Ive heard it both ways."
"I can assure you that your target will not be on the run. That for atleast until he finds out that he is hunted."
De'ran nods "Then we will be sure to keep it that way, sir."

(Brill withholds his desire to high five til they are out of the general’s presence)
”Best get started then, before destiny chooses someone else to kill some Givalonian scum.” And Brill leads the way out.

Are you leaving the military post, or do you want to do some other business before you leave?
I'd say we leave after having gotten enough supplies for the journey unless someone has something else to do.

Erred scurries out with the rest of the party, his head swiveling as he tries to take everything in at once.
The man at the armory, Dragh, a dwarf follows your request and hands you a chain shirt and a solid wooden shield. You can add it to your inventory
Excellent. Brill will lead the way out unless anyone else has anything to do.

De'ran always travels light, as the way most druids do. "The sooner we get on the road, the sooner we find this fellow." He follows Brill's lead.
