(If no one else is feeling like chatting with guards)
”Our business is our own. House Eld’th’ay would remind the guard to leave Elvish business with the elves. Perhaps your time would be better spent chasing bandits off the streets.” Valen says in a haughty, somewhat threatening tone.
The guard looks at the elves then at Kal. " Fancy friends you got there. Move along" He says to the group. He then direct the party to the back of the garrison where there are double doors that lead to a staircase ascending to the top floor. You see a small placard with the words Master of Arcana, Allura Vysoren lettered in gold. When the party makes their presence known a few moments pass before the door opens and a beautiful human woman dressed in fine white silk robes with flowing golden hair beckons the party inside. She asks them what your purpose here is. Antiques and curiosities line the walls of this circular room. As your eyes drift around the room they come to rest on a sort of blank area in front of her desk. It looks as if a larger rug used to be part of the décor, but a smaller rug has taken its place leaving a portion of floor exposed all around it. Allura sees each party member looking at the bare spot and frowns slightly. “That rug is there to hold me over while a more suitable replacement is being made. I know it’s a bit of an eyesore and it’s something nearly everyone seems to notice first thing. But enough about my décor choices. What brings you to my office?”
B.A. glances at the rug and uses his hands to shape it before turning to Allura. "Your honor, although it is always a pleasure to see you, we are here to deliver a message from Gilmore's. The letter, Adele."

Kal knows better than to speak directly to his betters. He looks rather sheepishly at the floor, making sure not to make eye contact with Allura, feeling uncomfortable at the situation.
Kal is more than happy for Adele / B.A. to take the lead.
“We were stopped while making a delivery to Gilmore’s. The guards told us the road was blocked, and directed us down an alley, where thugs attempted to rob us. Clasp types, it seemed.” Valen narrows his eyes at Sybil. ”It was clearly a set up. With few exceptions, everyone handled themselves well. Still, some of those rats escaped.”
Allura listens and then says " Well It seems that you being here now allows me to hire you. Since you already have had a run in with the Clasp, then this opportunity should be easier? I would like to hire you. There is a ship called the Jewel of the Ozmit it should be in by now at the Port District. It is to be unloaded by the Garrison stationed there. I want you ensure that it is delivered to the Citrine Garrison. Your group is to provide additional security as the City Guard transport it to there. I am willing to give you also a "Writ of authority" this will allow to travel without being detained. I need for you to link up with Guard Captain Mertz he is human and has shown himself true during the Chroma Conclave attacks. I will pay a 100 gp for this job. Are there any questions?"
B.A.'s ears pick up at the sound of 100 gold, but he shakes his head. "A couple, if I may ask ... though I will anyways. What is being unloaded from the ship and would be this something the Clasp would be after, hence the extra security? I believe you when you say this Mertz showed himself during the Chroma Conclave attacks, but when did you last speak with him? Can we trust him?"

Allura looks at the dark elf and says “ Metal piping is coming in. While not a huge commodity like gems it will help the city. Also I heard from Mertz the other day and yes you can trust him”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(That wasn't what I was intending, but I'll give it a shot).
B.A. nods and glances at his companions. "I trust your wisdom Lady Allura. One hundred gold pieces is generous, but given how we had some trouble with the Clasp, perhaps my companions and I an increase?

As the group moves to the building they run into a patrol of city guards. A human in his mid forties with a red beard approach’s the group.
”State your business” he says as he and 4 guards stop the group 3 blocks from your destination.
(Group did we miss something?)

B.A. nods. "We are on important business to the Spire. We need to speak with Councilwoman Allura."

Kal approaches the red bearded guard and gently guides him to the side.
"'ey there friend. No need for tha 'eavy treatment, look. We're jus' anglin' to see tha Council-lady Allura. Nuffin' sinister or nuffin'."

“mmmm I see” Allura fold the letter. “ Tell me what trouble have you had with the Clasp?” She asks the group.
"I mean other than them ambushing us nothing really," Adele shrugs.
