After the attack and occupation of Emon by the Chroma Conclave, and their defeat at the hands of the party known as Vox Machina, there is much rebuilding to be done. Time has passed and, thanks to the wealth accumulated by Thordak the Cinder King, progress is being made on the repairs. The Clasp was instrumental in keeping the refugees and remaining citizens alive and well. Now that order has been restored their efforts are being largely overlooked, much to their chagrin. Mages and builders from across Tal’Dorei are flocking to the capital city in search of work and opportunity.
Our adventure begins….
“You were told that the go to spot for new adventurers in the city is Gilmore's Glorious Goods, run by a former hero turned merchant turned hero again who fought against the Chroma Conclave not so long ago.
Upon entering the store you are greeted by the smell of perfumes and the sounds of several quiet conversations. A man wearing full Plate and a Shield strapped to his back and Arms of Emon livery is stacking healing potions in a backpack at one end of the counter. He finishes up and heads out, paying the party no mind.
Behind the counter stands Sherri, a half elven woman wearing deep purple robes. She smiles as she approaches you.
“Welcome to Gilmore's Glorious Goods. My name is Sherri. Is there something I can help you find today?”
Store Description
Gilmore's occupies a smaller building from what you would expect. It is an unnecessarily ornate one story building 20 feet wide by 20 feet long. Upon walking inside however you are immediately struck by the size difference. What should be a small storefront building is a shocking 40 feet wide and 100 feet long. Rows of seating stretch along each side with a large bank of shelves and display cases line the center of the room.

An average height man walks into the door. His blonde hair, short and well groomed. Wearing blue and white robes, an amulet of a golden wings holds a circular; a Ruby inside and a purple amethyst in the shale of an eye hangs from his neck. Taking a full step back once hit with the fumes of the store. Taking a spin around to take in the decor he finds his way to the counter.
“I must apologize for I have very little funds to actually purchase your wares, despite how alluring they are...”.
As his sentence trails off he reaches for a bobble on the counter before snapping back to his train of thought.
”I was hoping to remedy that problem though. I was informed that this was the location adventures gathered and readied before heading out. Is this true?”
(that was as close to brown I could pick, mobile only)
A few moments later a young women walks in wearing her Lyceum student uniform and her hair back into a bun with one hand and strapping her spellbook to her waist with the other. Finishing that, she brushes off her robes to make sure they don't have any dust on them before approaching shaking her head.
"Terribly sorry for looking a mess right now. I just got away from my parent's business. I was told that this was the best place to come to seek adventure. I guess I'm not the first person here though."
She laughs a little at the other man at the counter. She holds out her hand to shake.
A dark elf male standing at about five and a half feet tall enters Gilmore's and examines the various goods. Donned in a lavender shirt and leathers with his trusty rapier at his side, he stands by a mirror and smooths his pearl white mop of hair while chuckling to himself before noticing the half-elven woman addressing him and his companions. He smoothly walks over to Sherri and nods. "Not at the moment, but thank you for seeing us," he says in an accent where the you sounds like ya. "Actually, would you happen to have any books on Vox Machina or other heroes?"
(OOC: Are we not doing any content sharing for this adventure? I've got Eladrin as a place holder since I can't access the drow race. If not, no worries, and I can keep my race Eladrin. I want to play a drow, I just can't access it on DND Beyond. I do have a copy of the Player's Handbook).

Noting the spell book and recognizing the uniform. Arven extends his hand with a smile.
”Lighttouch, Arven Lighttouch. It looks like we might have some notes that we can compare. Looks like we have come here with the same goal in mind. That’s good, I could use someone to hide behind.” Arven says with a chuckle. “Which business is it that your parents operate?
B.A. overhears the conversation between the two newcomers and walks over to them. "Pardon my interruption you two wouldn't be looking for adventure as well?" He shakes his head. "Forgive me, allow me to introduce myself, B.A. Salvathore - of the House Salvathore," he says with a bow while twirling his fingers.

Pretending to browse the selection of goods is a young woman; slightly shorter than average, dark red hair, wearing black and grey leathers under a dark brown leather corset, high soft leather boots, with a black cloak hanging over her shoulders and down her back, a burgundy scarf covering the lower half of her face. If anyone bother to look closer the would see knives and dagger hidden among her person, the two hand crossbows concealed under the cloak, and the burn scars covering most of the left side of her body. They would also notice that she wasn't paying any attention the merchandise, but the coin purses and satchels of these fledgling adventurers did hold her interest.
Walking past the young Lyceum student, accidentally bumping into her "My apologies, I'm such a cluts. My name is Sybal, a pleasure."
"My father owns a collection of mechant ships that have been delivering so many different types of goods that I couldn't name them all. I will admit though, I don't recall ever meeting you at the Lyceum" Adele replies, slipping her wand into the holster she also had strapped to her belt. Upon any closer inspection, the wand is carved with intricate details that indicated someone spent a lot of time working on it. They also looked a bit different from some of the decorations seen in Emon.
She's about to ask about what he did at the Lyceum when the women bumps into her. Adele readjusts her bag so it's not in the women's way and places a hand on the top flap, force of habit having lived in the Central District for most of her life."It's no trouble. Accidents happen. So what brings you here today?"
A little frustrated she couldn't get her hand on the young students purse "Oh just browsing, usually I find exactly what I'm looking for, but so far I'm coming up empty handed. How about yerself?" her slight accent giving up her lowborn roots. Sybal uses the converstatiion as an excuse to size up her next target, hmmm maybe that dark elf will have some easy coin.
"Oh, I'm here for a bit of adventure. My parents called me back from the Lyceum so I'm not a full time student there anymore. Just trying to find something to do that isn't balancing merchant books, watching ships dock and marking inventory for a bit." She follows the women's gaze.
"Oh, hello there. I've never heard of the house Salvathore before. Where are you from?"
A high elven man walks into the store. He’s tall by elven standards, with the traditional long, well groomed pale blonde hair, although his appears to have a little less shine. His face- it would be beautiful- is a bit asymmetric, and his slight smile a bit forced, never touching his eyes. He wears the finery common to high elven nobility: shining black shoes matching tight dark cloth pants of indeterminate fabric. A pure white shirt, with a short, loose fitting colorful jacket and high collar. Less usual is the longsword on his hip. Many elves carry such a weapon with proficiency, but few carry such a jagged looking weapon, more sheet metal with a grip than elegant weapon of the people descended from fey itself.
Valen Eld’th’ay walks in just in time to hear others speaking to Sherri. He speaks in a voice that tries to be honey, but has too many jagged inflections to be considered much more than polite.
Leaned against the alley wall, Allister observed as multiple people wandered into the store. It was the place to earn money, or so he heard. He pushed himself away from the wall, making a quick dash towards the shop. Others could see a slender man of average height, with a thick stubble and long thin face, his eyes of dark green colour embedded deep into his skull with big and heavy eye bags beneath. His dark brown hair was on the shorter side of medium length and unkept. A coat of deep greens with patches in places covered his leather armor, and multiple daggers with a crossbow tucked on his belt. In his other hand, he carried a a set of chains that could be understood to be an arcane focus. Finally, simple baggy pants and high boots adorned his lower part of body. He looked over those present and deduced what was taking place.
”Yes, I would also be interested in a job, I’ve been bored for some time”
