"Thank you, and one for my friend here too if you will."Pierpont fishes out 4 coppers and hands them over to the bartender. He sits with the Half-orc and they share their drinks talking about nothing in particular, then Pierpont wanders over to the bar with his empty mug. Placing it on the bar he says, "Saberhagen said I should come talk to you. He thought you might be able to help out with a place to sleep for the night."
"Sure, let's go together and see what we can get. This island gives me a bad feeling and I'd like to make sure we are prepared to handle whatever we find there. Aka, you mentioned shopping as well so would you care to join us, or should we meet you back at the inn?"
After getting and answer Brotherhood will join Helena, mostly focusing on looking for a place to purchase some healing potions for the group.
"Workss for me, letss go. I wass alsso planning on buying some healing potionss plus some other mundane items, jusst to be on the ssafe side. And if posssible if ssomeone sseess a Library or a place that ssellss books, pleasse let me know. I would like to do ssome ressearch on beasstss to expand my knowledge of them."

Looking for healing potions, silk rope, climbing gear, map making items (ink and paper/scrolls), scroll carrying case, and then if possible the cost of a bag of holding or Hevards Handy Haversack. The book is to determine what beasts I am familiar with for my polymoprh spell.
Searching through the many shops of Waterdeep, you can find all the mundane items you need for normal prices. You can't find a haversack for sale, but a bag of holding is available for 1000 gold pieces.

"Ah, you're with that group. A few rooms have already been reserved for you. Would you like to go to them now or would you like to hang around down here, get a drink and a meal, or something?"

"If you don't mind, I might go just take a table in the corner and wait for the rest to arrive. I think we can share a meal when they get here. We have a bit to discuss."
"Brotherhood, Helena, I wass able to purchasse uss a Bag of Holding sso we can eassily carry our ssupliess and not be too weighed down with the sstuf.I wass alsso able to purchasse ssome healing potionss and ssome other mundane itemss we might need. Do you have everything you wanted to get, ass we sshould proabbly make out way to the Inn and our other friendss."
"Very good, these should certainly come in useful. I think I have all the mundane items I need already, let's head to the Inn and meet up with the others"
Brotherhood will pay for his share of the cost for potions before heading back to the inn
Helena nods and also pays for her share of the potions. "Yes, I've gotten all I need. Lets hope we won't need anything more whilst stuck in unknown territory and far from civilisation."
Brotherhood enters the Crawling Spider inn. Taking a few moments to take in the unusual decor, he eventually works his way over to where Pierpont is sitting and takes a seat at the table.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, but I believe everyone has the supplies they need for tomorrow. I don't suppose you heard anything new in the way of rumors about this so called 'Changing Island' while you were here have you?"

"Not yet. Our best bet is probably the bartender, or,"indicating with a glance to the balcony above, "those religious types up above. Who knows what knowledge they have locked away in their vaults. I'm just wondering if it's worth trying to find out anything here, or if we just wait to talk to the captain in the morning."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brotherhood follows Pierponts glance up the balcony towards the figures in religious garb. He examines them for a moment, trying to see if he can see and recognize any symbols that might indicate which particular god they serve.
Perception: 28 Religion: 17
"Well I don't believe it will hurt to see if they know anything. It'll be quicker if one of us talks to the bartender and the other speaks to those folks up on the balcony. Who would you prefer to talk to? I'll go talk to whoever is left."
“I think the bartender is more my speed. I’ll order is a few drinks while I am there too.”Pierpont moves over to the bar and signals the bartender over again. “Two ales if you would.”Upon his return with the drinks Pierpont takes them graciously and says quite directly, “while I was out around town I heard mention of an island that appears different to everyone who sees it. Such a place as that couldn’t exist surely?”
Aka will try and get the attention of a server and if there are none will approach the bartender and order a round of drinks and food for the group, not sue who eats what, will order a mix of food. Then will grab a seat and pass out 2 healing potions to each party member when they are available. Then enjoy the food and drinks and wait for the party to come back and then we can discuss whatever information they maybe have gotten.
While enjoying his food, he will keep an eye out to see if anyone is paying any particular attention to any in our group. Especially keeping an eye out for when one of our party members leave the groups they are talking to and comes back to our table.
As Brotherhood makes his way up to the balcony, Helena follows him in case anything bad happens. She keeps a bit of distance between them, staying about 10ft behind him. She doesn't try to conceal herself but she doesn't make herself obvious either.
"Well, I did hear something, I thought it was pretty odd... care to hear it?"
(Brotherhood)
One of the men turns around, and, upon seeing your face, his eyes go wind and he visibly flinches. He instantly realizes the rudeness of the gesture and settles back down.
"Er... that's fine... Why do you want to know our names?"
The other men at the table whisper to each other, each glancing at you several times. You're completely used to this, especially from holy men, being what you are.

The bartender comes over with some ale.
"Here you go. That'll be two copper pieces."

"Healing potions are a great idea. Brotherhood, do you want to go together and see what we can find for the group?"
Regardless of his answer, Helena would go looking for a rapier, hand crossbow, 30 crossbow bolts, studded leather armor and 15 rations.

Brotherhood sees many different symbols, but can't identify which gods they represent.

"Good afternoon, would you mind if I joined you for a short while? My name is Brotherhood, might I ask your names?"
