Cade - Seeing the group talking decides to ask, "Do we think these hyena that attacked us have anything to do with the Gnolls that attacked Turniptown? From remembering what I have read regarding battles with Gnolls they typically go after weaker targets so that they can feed their eternal hunger curse. These hyena seemed to think that we too were a weaker target if that were the case then perhaps the Gnolls aren't too far away." Looking at each of the group after the suggestion to search the immediate area, "Are we still planning to make our trip to Turniptown?". While waiting for an answer Cade will also look around and see if he finds anything.

"Of course we're going to Turniptown. We can't leave the poor people there at the mercy of the Gnolls. We have to help them. At the very least, maybe find means of taking them somewhere safer, if Turniptown is essentially lost. They may likely have a cart, or at least, have the means to make one, and Taranonn could pull it, taking at least a few people, depending on the size of the cart."
Cade - Hearing what Saerirra said he replies with, "Saerrira I'm sorry if it seems like I don't want to go because I am fighting to make myself want to go. I have only heard about such things through stories and while I wanted to leave home and go on my own adventures and make my own stories...I didn't take into account how terrifying it would actually be in the face of it. I am not like Uther who walked right into the face of the danger without misstep, I am not like Laievis who has a steely calm resolve, I am not like Peshley who is strong and quick with magic, nor am I look you who was seemed to be so calm in the wake of violence that took place before us. I know I was able to take down at least one hyena with my sling, but I had time to prepare and my shot was sheer luck...I doubt I could do the same thing in middle of a full battle. I will strive to change who I am because it is necessary to better myself as a person, however if that is the case we shouldn't waste too much time here the hyena were vicious, but the gnolls will be worse."
"No I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply I thought you were a coward or some such. Because I do not think that. I am quite scared too, but I am more scared of how I would feel if I did not at least attempt to help those in Turniptown. If it turns out we end up getting in over our heads and it becomes impossible, I can accept that. Because nobody can do everything."
As our heroes wake up in the morning, the blizzard is still raging. Anyone who wishes to take a bath in the half frozen river may do so, but must make a CONSTITUTION SAVE DC 15 or catch a cold.
However, with your good survival checks, you all find those foot tracks leading towards Turniptown.
Following the path, you spend the day trekking through a snow covered valley, lodged in between two Mountains, and peppered with tall pine trees. At your current pace, you think you should reach Turniptown by Nightfall.
Everyone, ROLL A SURVIVAL CHECK, AND A CONSTITUTION SAVE DC11. Uther doesnt have to roll a con save due to his armor, and Saerrira rolls con with advantage for being resistant to cold
i am going to cast prestidigitation to warm my robe. Does that negate the constitution check?
Peshley wakes the others at the end of her watch and tends to the fire. A warm meal, or at least a hot drink would be grea before heading back out into the cold. She decided to forgo a dip in the stream, figuring she could put up with anything until she was next at a proper tub or shower.
Peshley takes a moment to care for her pony, rubbingbit down and getting the saddle ready then, before they head out, casts prestidigitation on her robes to keep herself warm, hoping to stave off at least some of the cold.
Peshley gets her pony to fall in behind Taranon, using the larger horse to help create a track through any snow drifts

Peshley's poney's purple stripe suddenly glows for a slight second, and she gets to add 1d4 to her Con Save
The stripe on the back of the pony glows slightly; Peshley is not sure if it really happened or just some illusion caused by the ice or her eyelashes. Either way she feels like today will be a better day.

The poney itself seems to give you extra warmth, and the Blizzard wind seems to be calmer around it...
(OOC: Laievis is feeling an urge to call his horse "Blizzard" :) If his mare would not be already called Glaenad, it would be a fitting name)
Laievis looked at the town down the hill. Even elven sight has it's limits. To him the town in twilight looked like just another overgrown village, just quiet.

OOC You may totally rename your horse Blizzard, that is definitely a rad name...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Without a word, Laievis send his horse towards the empty town. Someone could survive and now hide in there, in need of help and anyway all the clues were there. Not to mention, horses needed at least some shelter no less than riders.

As they arrived and saw the destruction, Uther dismounted Taranonn, then stood looking around slowly and quietly. "Damn dem," he sniffles, " damn dem do oblivio'." He looked around not sure where to start. Weather to look for survivors or clues leading to the animals that did this.

Uther starts sneezing and coughing a lot. His nose is runny, and his throat soar....
But he is squeaky clean. Currently the cleanest in the group 😂😂
2 added to con save

Saerirra is of course riding atop Taranonn, with Uther likely steering her. She looks back after noticing the blue glow from Peshley's pony.

After traveling all day in the blizzard, as the night falls again, our heroes finally reach Turniptown...or what is left of it...
Black charred houses and buildings appear at the bottom of the valley, smoke still rising from them...
Not a single sign of life around. Even the wind finally recedes, and the wildlife has completely vanished. It is deathly quiet...
A small wooden directional sign reads "Turniptown" in Dwarvish. It has an arrow sticking out of it...
Saerirra just gasps in shock at the sight, on the verge of tears.
"No....." is all she manages to say.
