"Considering neither Uthar nor me needs much light - it might work. If we manage to knock them off in first attempt. Can not say I had a lot of practice."
"One thing I can say, though, it would probably wise to restrain from loud music. Or any sort of music. Just in case the rest of the gnolls are near by. Or is it necessary for Charming?"

"Hmmmm, well instead of my flute I could just dance and maybe softly hum a tune. They just need to see and hear me, that's all. ANd I agree, loud music would be detrimental to us right now, not that I planned on playing too loudly, of course. But the softer the better. If you two try to knock them out and fail, odds are they will have little interest in sitting still for me to perform, so we need to decide one or the other."
Cade feels the sudden urge to dance and frolic around, but keeps it under control...
Cade - Rhythmically tapping his fingers on his leg in an unheard beat grabbing his hand with his other hand he remebers where they are and what they are there to do trying keep himself from messing it up for everyone he is trying to listen to what everyone says.

"Can gnolls see in the dark ? " whispers uther as the others discuss their plans. "I am ready either way. " he readies his axe and crouches to approach the gnolls.
"Let's try a peaceful approach firs. I worst case - we will get a battle anyway, as if we tried knock the beasts and failed. But in the best - we might get something useful out of the gnolls or at least remove them quietly."
"Actually, a little singing, just to attract their attention here, might be enough of diversion"
(I only need to be within 60ft of them, so I don't have to get too close, just as long as they can see and hear me. So we are going with the charm attempt and if that fails, knocking them out/battling them?)
Cade - (if able) Will give bardic inspiration to Saerrira by giving her the old "Break a leg!", he'll then snuff out the lantern and lay in wait to put out the campfire if needed with Prestidigation.

Saerirra would smile and nod her thanks to Cade as she steps up in sight of the two Gnolls (we'll say about 50ft) and begins humming and dancing for them.
Performance roll: 17, thank you Cade, i rolled terribly, it doesn't say i needed to roll for performance, but thought i'd do it just in case
(If they let me perform for them for a full minute, then I will do an Enthralling Performance, which means they must make a Wisdom saving throw, DC 14. If they fail they idolize me, and hinders anyone who opposes me, avoiding violence unless they were already inclined to be violent. The charm break after 1 hour, they take damage, I attack it, or they see me attacking their allies. This is the wording of the description. If they succeed on their saving throw they do not have any hint I tried to charm them.)
Ok, so Saerrira, Cade, Peshley are distracting and charming, while Layevis and Uthar sneaking into position closer to campfire, so, if Charming fails - Peshley extinguish fire and Laievis and Uthar will try to knock gnolls.
Correct?
Then sneaking - not too close now! - and after Saerrira begins her act! Stealth6
Saerrira steps out of the shadows, and starts walking towards the Gnolls, humming a strange tune that seems to fit the scenery perfectly. They roll a fantastic 6 and 4 on their Wisdom saves....
They ditch whatever they were roasting on the campfire (a human arm and leg...), and stare at the silver Dragonborn bars for about a minute, completely slackjawed...the blank look in their glowing eyes seems to indicate that the enthralling performance is working. They stand up, and slowly start walking towards Saerrira...
Anyone rolling stealth may do so with advantage (giving Laevis an opportunity to salvage that 6...)
Cade - Watching what is taking place says, "I think it's working...maybe we can get more information out of them now that Saerirra has them under her control." He absentmindedly puts his hand into his pocket and touches the figurine that sits in it comfortably.

"Well it's as I said earlier, I do not speak Gnoll, but I will try."
Saerirra looks at the enthralled Gnolls. Speaking in Common of course, "If you are able, can you please tell me if you have anyone held captive and where, please?"
If the Gnolls appear to not understand her, she will repeat the phrase in Draconic.
"Hmmm, I can't seem to communicate with them. Can anyone talk to them? Shall I pantomime a means of getting them to leave? Or fall asleep? Or perhaps try to get them to bring their captives to us? I am not sure how I would go about communicating that to them without words."

“If it was just you singing they may not see a need to be uneasy. We could be just out of sight to help out if the charm doesn’t work.”
Alright. It seems like the plan is to distract the 2 Gnolls by the campfire in order to knock them out, or at least try to take them out silently.
Whoever is part of the distraction may roll a Perform and Deception check.
Woever is sneaking up on the Gnolls may roll a Stealth check...
No, the plan is to make gnolls to leave the campfire and come closer to us, so Saerrira can Charm them both.
I think.

Ok. Then Saerrira and whoever may be helping with that (Peshley/Cade perhaps) may roll a Perform/Deception
