The Caravan driver, an old Gypsie Halfling with grey hair and thick mutton chops invites Zyman to sit next to him. "Why certainly, Sir Merexes! Hop right on! What can ol' Zlat do fer ya?"
"Mind telling me why you're supporting the folks out West? Is it just for the coin, or do you believe in their fight? I kind of struggle to imagine people so full of life and joy such as yourselves willingly approach areas devastated by warfare, unless there was something in it for you or some other sort of motivation, like a strong belief in their cause. And, if you indulge me with another question, what do you tend to deliver, and how do you know it gets to the right people?"

Edeleth struggled with his decision on Zyman's suggestion. He was a retainer to the crown of Lomalos, with a mission to carry out, and was not sure it was appropriate for him to accept this sort of a private obligation elsewhere. And becoming a walking billboard for a tavern seemed beneath the dignity of a future High Druid. He could probably survive the winter in Three Peaks perfectly well by resting in trees and next to warm chimneys and living off Goodberries. He doubted Zyman could do the same, though and he was not sure of the financial state of his other companions.
He decided to wait and see what the rest of the group decided. For that matter, Gavin might not be interested in the offer. But Edeleth had a sinking feeling that becoming a Warrior of the Hanging Chicken was his future doom.
Oh, well, every high official of the court had some hideously embarrassing indiscretion in their past to cast a shadow over their career. Perhaps this could be his.

Inside the wagon Rosri is contemplating how he and Roscoe can break the news to Gavin. What if he is devastated? What if he gets mad at them for opening the chest? As he thinks of all the terrible outcomes he starts to bite his nails.
<Get your self together Rosri. It will be alright, think of something else. What else is there to think of?..>
“What do you all think of the name that Mr. OZymandias came up with? The Warriors of the Hanging Chicken?”He finally asks.
"I suppose there are worse things to be called," says Edeleth gloomily. "In any case, it must be a temporary arrangement, I have other obligations. And we do not sign any contracts without having a lawyer look at them first. OOC: So, at this point, unless someone has anything in particular they wish to do during the half day's travel, the PCs and Gypsie Caravan will make it back safely to the City of the Three Peaks
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zyman would like to continue talking with his gypsie friend:
"So, when are you hoping to head out west again? With the weather turning the way it has recently, it must be quite an undertaking to head west, so are you wintering in Three Peaks as well? I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions, but I'm a student of medicine, and heard that there were some truly awesome herbs and plants out west, and I'd like to join your caravan once you head west again."

No need for deception. With a Nat 20 on persuasion, the Old Charriot pretty much considers you all extended members of the Family at this point. They do plan on spending about two to three weeks in the City, as Winter is nearing its end.
“Or how about we let someone else name us for our deeds then? Hopefully it wont be ridiculous.” Rosri suggests.
As our heroes arrive in the Three Peaks, Rosri will say good by to their ***** friends. He then approaches Tarden and Pebbles. “Tarden, where are you heading now? How about you follow us to the Hanging Chicken and we can present you to Gavin? And maybe you can verify our story?”
Zyman wishes the caravan good bye and makes a mental note to check in with them in two weeks time, to see whether he can hitch a ride. Now it was time to get his fellows on board.
“Rosri, where are you planning to head, once winter is over? I saw how acquainted you were with their rituals and ways of life, and since Im planning to accompany them at least some ways West, I was hoping you’d be happy to come along. I might find some as yet unknown cures in the wildlife there, and you could learn more about the Family.”

“Oh, well I haven’t planed so far yet. Looking for more adventures I guess, so that I can prove myself to the thieves guild. I need them to take me in and train me. But to be considered I need to prove myself. So I would be happy to join you. I’m sure I’ll stumble upon an adventure if I’m with the family aswell.”
Roscoe listens as his companions plan out their futures. Roscoe always knew where he'd end up; all this adventuring was a temporary thing. "Yous must find youself before yous can find family,"they said in the ceremony. That phrase always stuck with him because it didn't make any sense. He knew who he was and he knew who is family are. This spiritual journey hadn't enlightened him at all about who he or is family were.
"I could use a drink," he mutters as the other talk about heading back to the Hanging Chicken.
"We probably ought to talk to Gavin and give him the sad news before we get comfortable," says Edeleth. Though a drink sounds like a good idea, if he doesn't need to pay for it.
He wonders whether Zyman's invitation to Rosri will be extended to the rest of the party. After all, they are not a formal group, just a handful of individuals who found common cause in helping the people of Oakfields, and now that mission is complete. As for himself, he feels a curious reluctance to leave the company of the warriors who had shared his first real dangers and battles. It matters little where he travels, so long as he keeps traveling. Sacred groves, great gardens, and places of power and beauty might be found in any direction.
