"Oh glorious beast. Yous have grown so tall," Roscoe says as he looks up at Pebbles. He seems shocked when the flesh eaters are mentioned. "We ain't gonna let thats happen!" Roscoe grabs his gear and climbs down from the wagon. The rest he'd had sitting up there had been pleasant, but action was calling. As he climbs down into the snow, he remembers why he road in the wagon. He didn't enjoy the cold and especially didn't enjoy it up to his knees/waist. He moves to meet the others and brief them on what Pebbles the Brave had told Edeleth.

Upon hearing voices outside Rosri looks up from inside the wagon. When he sees the dog person he immediately ducks down, taking him for a gnoll and ready his crossbow and yells from inside the wagon “Let my friend go you disgusting demon spawn! I have a loaded crossbow and I will shoot if you don’t do as I say!”
Hearng Rosri's panicky voice, Edeleth calls out, "Relax, it's...it's only Pebbles. Transformed a bit."
He remembers the little rogue's fear of dogs, and wonders if that's any comfort.

As Roscoe begins to walk away, he hears the shouts of the frightened halfling. He draws his battleaxe expecting a gnoll has gotten past them and is attacking his friend. When he sees that it's just Edeleth and the dogman, he looks around puzzled. "Eh Rosri. What are yous on about?"
“Oh.. OHHH that is even worse! What if he attacks me again!” Rosri remembers when the dog jumped him in the tavern.. but he lowers the crossbow. “So, what is the plan then?” He ask when he has calmed a bit.

"I suppose that right now, the plan is to wait for Zyman to return with more information," Edeleth says.
He finds it hard to wait when every cell in his body is screaming to take action. He doesn't remember having been this impatient in the past. Of course, in the sacred grove, there was nothing to be impatient about: leaves fell, leaves grew, animals were born, animals died, the seasons changed, everything happened in its proper order...and before that, when he had been a courtier, he had dreaded upcoming events more than been eager for them.
Of course, there was that time Mariel Simul had got caught up in a magical experiment and turned up two hours late to go to the harvest festival with him. He remembered behaving rather badly on that occasion. They had never spoken since. That was ninety years ago...

"We should at least give him a few minutes," says Edeleth. "Our attack will be most effective with the most accurate possible intelligence. Rosri swallows hard. “We.. uhm, better get going then.” Rosri said with a shaking voice.
This was what he had always dreamt of, what he played as a child. But who knew that it would be this scary? Noone in there right mind would do what they planed on doing. The sensible thing to do would be to go to the kings guard or some other official law establishment. But he knew that if they did that, the villagers would be long dead when help came.
He swallowed again, readied his weapons and started of towards where he had seen the statue. “Show us the way pebbles.”
As they came in view of the statue, Edeleth began to worry. No disembodied voices made him jump out of his skin. No mysterious footprints appeared in the snow. He hoped nothing had happened to their invisible friend.
"So, um...Pebbles the Brave," murmured Edeleth quietly. "Is that the place?"

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
When they get closer to the entrance to the cave, Rosri will split off from the others, still in eyesight but a bit behind and to the side so he can hide if they were to engage in combat, and start to look for traps/ tracks/ ambush and so on.. maybe even a secret entrance to the cave. He will also get his hand crossbow and a dagger ready.
I'll give myself disadvantage since it should be dark by now and Rosri don't have my lantern out. PS Rosri is scared out of his mind.
Roscoe moves up with Edeleth, Rosri, and Pebbles. He holds his battleaxe in his hands at the ready. He looks around to see if he spots anything of note. The tiny halfling moves to stand next to Edeleth to help provide him a small sense of security. "It'll be okay friend," he says as confidently as possible.
"Yes, of course it will be." Edeleth patted his friend on the shoulder with more confidence than he actually felt. "It's the gnolls who ought to be worried."
His companions were all so ridiculously, impossibly young. He really ought to look after them better, he thought. Of course, when he was their age--but that was different. He had spent his childhood being relentlessly, endlessly trained in archery, swordsmanship, horsemanship, dancing, politics, history and dragonchess, so that he would be skilled enough not to offend Prince Kalrondo by appearing to be better than the prince at anything, while not embarrassing the family by looking incompetent.
"So, have you had a lot of training with that axe?" he asked Roscoe.

Zyman knows that invisibility alone doesn't make people completely unaware of his presence, he'd also have to move stealthily and avoid causing any changes in air pressure around light sources.
Stealth: 16 I assume I still have advantage on stealth, based on the invisibility spell. If not, take the crossed out result instead.
Straining his eyes and ears to perceive something in the dark cave, Zyman moves forward cautiously, trying to find any sign of the gnolls and more importantly their prisoners inside.
Perception: 2 I assumed disadvantage, since Zyman is a human that can't see well in darkness. If that shouldn't be the case, use the crossed out roll.

Zyman makes his way into the cave, but the Darkness inside prevents him from noticing anything at all, apart from just a pitch black tunnel leading deep inside the cliff.
Zyman suppresses the cursewords coming into his mind, and heads back out of the cave, onwards to his companions before dropping invisibility.
"I'm sorry, it's too dark in there for me. But I didn't hear them close by, so I think they might be a bit further inside the mine shaft. Anyone that can see in the dark, might be good if they led the way."

When Zyman returns and relays the information, Roscoe nods understandably. "You did great." He begins rummaging around in his pack until her pulls out a small torch and a tinderbox and prepares to light the torch so that the darkness won't be an issue.
Not only is he the the oldest by over a century, Edeleth realizes, he is also the only one who isn't blinded by a little darkness.
He enters the cave first, his back to Roscoe so that the torchlight won't interfere with his darkvision too badly. He debates whether to use Wild Shape to take advantage of the superior stealth of a panther, but decides that being unable to communicate with his allies might be more dangerous than a little extra noise.

Edeleth is relieved to see Roscoe, and not be alone with the dog creature. It does seem to be Pebbles...enchanted. So a friend...sort of.
He vaguely tries to remember if he has ever done anything embarrassing in front of the dog.
"I assure you, we are ready to help your people," he says. "We are only waiting for our scout, Zyman, to return with his report. "
