Edeleth hears the halfling's panicky remarks, but does not look back, not wanting the glare of the torch in his eyes, and does not respond, since he has moved into the cave and is trying his best to be silent.
He has seen the halfling in battle before. Rosri's fine aim skewered the huge hyena right through the eye. Edeleth feels sure that Rosri will be fine, as soon as his initial jitters settle down.
Rosri had a point about Grunda, but there had been no sign of her in the village, and it was entirely possible the gnolls had taken her prisoner as well. In which case, there was no time to waste. And if not, she could surely follow their tracks in the snow and catch up with them.

Seeing the Edeleth and the others moving forward, Rosri takes a deep breath. <Ok, I can do this. They are only two-legged dogs.. dumb alimals..> he looks over at pebbles and is even more ashamed. The bright dog had led them all the way here and was going to fight to his death for these people.
Rosri track behind Roscoe so that he will se what is happening in front, yet being stealthy in the dark, dagger and crossbow held high.
The the torch lit, Roscoe begins to make his way forward. He had this battleaxe in one hand and the torch in the other. He was used to needing light to see in such dark places so he did his best to always have a torch at the ready. It would make it a bit more difficult to wield the battleaxe, but it was better to see the opponent than blindly swing at the darkness.
Led through a pitch black tunnel by Edeleth and Zyman, the group ventures into the old Mine Shaft, past the crumbling statue of Moradin.
This seems to have been the main entrance to the mine, and at the middle of the tunnel, railroad tracks follow along, going down, deep into the mine beyond even Edeleth's elvish eyes. There are two empty minecarts near the entrance, sitting on top of the rails.
Dwarvish runic inscriptions ornate the sides of the tunnels, and it seems very very old...
The Gnoll tracks seem to snake down the tunnel, a few hundred feet down into the Mine.
Everyone ROLL A TEAM STEALTH CHECK DC 13 to make it down the tunnel undetected....
Group check means everyone rolls stealth, and if more than half the players succeed, then you all make your way down there undetected.

Zyman signs to roscoe that he should extinguish the torch, or leave it behind, so as to avoid being detected as they approach the light source.

While bringing up the rear, Rosri will be on the lookout for anything to hide behind, if he finds a suitable spot he will take the hide action to conceal his presence. It might be a stalagmite or a ledge on the wall.
As he looks behind, all he sees is darkness. It reminds him of the time big Willy trapped him in the old well. Then it was also only blackness and far above, a light that was impossible for Rosri to reach. It was after that incident that Loker had taken him under his wing.
