Roscoe seems amused by the aggression between the parties and does his best to hide a smile. He wasn't exactly used to dealing with people that thought this highly of themselves and preferred to not earn their scorn either. The words about breaches seemed to go over the haflings understanding of the natural order. When he heard that this plane has a chance of being overrun with something that didn't belong here, that's when his attention was grabbed. "We's can't let this world be destroyed," he adds to the conversation not really sure if it helps or hurts. "We's will defend it!"
« Jarl, one more thing, if you permit... We have secured evidence of sabotage and assassination plots against this very city. Barrels of explosive black powder and detailed plans of some of the city’s buildings were hidden away at a secret location we all stumbled upon. We are as yet unaware of the persons plotting against you, deeming it more of a priority to make s warning of the two imminent threats to Three Peak’s security. »
Throughout his brief resume, Zyman made sure his head was bowed and that he spoke general, but to the point.

Edeleth backs up Zyman's words by bringing out the maps from his backpack and offering them to the Jarl.
He hates politics. If he was at home, and if he was actually the High Druid, he would be tempted to knock their heads together and tell them to put their egos aside until the kingdom was safe.
But he is not home, and he is nobody much here, and at any rate, High Druid Vithan would probably find a much more tactful way of getting them to work together.
Or Master Vithan might actually knock their heads together and tell them to put their egos aside until the kingdom was safe. One could never tell...

Down in the Sewers, Rosri cannot tell exactly what did this to the Leader of the Thieve's. But he hears footsteps and voices....
He sees a Red Dragonborn soldier, and another Mind Flayer, hovering alongside him. Its tentacles are red with blood...
Rosri hides behind a wall, listening to them...
The Dragonborn speaks to the Illithid out loud...
"Good...now that you've devoured the Thieve's Guild Leader's mind, maybe we'll be able to know everything they do...Tell the Gingerbread Man our part of that bargain is done. Now its time to pay the Clan back...I hope for your sake that your Agents dispose of the Jarl quick..."
The Illithid doesn't seem to respond.
"The Elderbrain? Whatever that is, I hope its not planning on betraying Lord Khalor, Squid..."
The Illithid still doesnt seem to respond.
The Dragonborn yelps in pain. "Aargh! Alright, Alright! Just tell your boss we're done here, and I'll tell mine!"
The Mind Flayer stops for a second...it hovers over to the wall Rosri is hiding behind, and feels it with its tentacles...then hovers away...the Guild Halls fall silent once more

So far everyone fails....I will give Rosri ONE CHANCE of running stealthily back to the Jarl's Palace, past the guards, and bust into his Private Quarters JUST IN TIME to see an Assassin literally materialize out of the Shadows and go after Hærrad Hammerstorm with a long dark pointy blade....
OOC Time to shine, Rosri! If the Halfling fails to make it back to the Granit Palace on time, the Jarl is about to get stabbed viciously....no pressure...
Upon hearing the conversation between the Illithid and the dragon born, Rosri is faced with a dilemma... either he trust that his friends can protect the Jarl and stalk them and try to find out more about them and the Gingerbread man.. or he can rush back to try and warn his friends.. In Rosries mind it wasn’t a dilemma at all.
When he feel the presence of the Illithid around the corner he pulls out the vial he got from the guild leader earlier and downs it. The he start to make his way over to the palace as fast as he can!
Vial: Potion of Invisibility
stealth with ad: 16
acrobatics: P28
On the way he prepare a poison arrow and load it in his crossbow!
As soon as he learns about the plot to assassinate the Jarl, Rosri sprints as fast as his Halfling legs can take him, away from the Thieve's Guild, the Mind Flayer and the Dragonborn, through the Sewers, all the way to the Granit Palace, where he finds a secret manhole leading up into the Palace kitchens. Rosri opens it cautiously, and hops up, then makes his way through the stoves and Cauldrons, past a few chefs and cooks..
One of them turns to a servant, and hands him a platter of food. "Oy! Bring this to the Jarl's private quarters, chop chop!"
Rosri follows the servant upstairs, all the way up a spiral staircase, "shimying" up along the wall Ninja-Style, until he reaches a large set of double doors, cracked open at the top of the Eastern Tower, guarded by two stern and burly DwarvesHe hears the Zathka the Fey speaking aggressively to the Jarl, and Zyman's voice trying to calm them down, explaining to the Jarl what the team found. As Rosri is hanging up on the wall, watching the servant approach the guards, one of them looks up! But with a 28 Acrobatics, Rosri downs the potion of Invisibility granted to him by the (now dead in horrible way) Thieve's Guildmaster, in one swift gulp, and goes invisible JUST ON TIME!
"Hmmm? What was that? I dunno, must be rats..."
Rosri drops silently from the ceiling, right in between both guards, and slides through the open door, where he sees Hærad Hammestorm sitting at his desk, unarmored. Facing him are the PCs, and Zathka, who is currently leaning against the desk, in the Jarl's face, in heated debate...Behind the Jarl, a Shadow materializes out of a Corner of the room, holding a blade. Rosri busts into the room and loads his crossbow just in time to roll INITIATIVE! His passive perception is a 21/22, which is just enough to be the ONLY one to notice the Shadow turn into a muscular man with pale skin long white hair, and a metal mask.
The Assassin got a 16 on his INITIATIVE.
And because I am feeling generous, and you deserve it, eceryone gain inspiration!
OOC: Wow, you just beat the assassins init' BY 1! And that 27 on attack, Jesus....
Right as the man in the iron Mask is about to strike a deadly blow to the Jarl, an arrow comes out of nowhere and hits him in his sword hand! Rosri materializes in front of the Party, sweaty and reloading his crossbow.
The Assassin grunts, retracts his hand, and waves his arms around, casting a Darkness spell that covers the whole room (which is roughly 20feet by 20). Everyone is now engulfed in magical Darkness...
