Belleres will run for Jharn, pulling their head out of the water. Belleres will try to stabilise them with a med check 14. As a bonus action, realising that Jharn is in serious trouble, Belleres will cast healing word3
Belleres' magic surges through Jharn and she recovers 4 hit points. Necria's javelin throw takes the beast in the neck; her scream is like two blades scraping against each other as she scrabbles for her hold on the wall. Now her scales run with tarry black blood.
Jharn gets up (1/2 move) and moves a further 15 feet away from the dragon. Jharn moves to the side as she does so, so that she and Belleres are separated, and can't be hit at the same time by another breath attack. As she sloshes her way through the water, Jharn moves her hands along her arms and over her face chanting quietly to herself as she casts Cure Wounds - 6 healing
Eyes burning red with fury, the dragon flaps back across the room, launching itself at Necria, but her bite glances off the orc's shield. She lashes her tail in frustration.
That ends the dragon's turn. Everyone is within 30 feet of it except Belleres; it is engaged with Necria.
Drueze will move into melee range and attempt to take a flanking position. Before attacking. Staff Attack: 18 Damage: 9 (advantage? 13) after swinging his staff Drueze will attempt to strike with his elbow Attack: 13 Damage: 13 (advantage? 25 )
I don't usually use flanking (although here it doesn't look like it matters).
Drueze's attacks send tarry blood bubbling from the dragon's toothy mouth. With a piercing shriek, she rears back and falls into the water, sending scum flying as she thrashes, shudders, and goes still, sinking to the bottom of the pool...where you can just make out the glint of gold.
The dragon is fairly small, a bit less than 20 feet nose to tail.
If you want to recover the body, I'll need an Athletics check, but, looking underwater, there is a silver chest you can drag up. First, though, what do each of you have to say to each other on the dragon's defeat?
"So, I saw a dragon from far off as a child, never been up close quite the shock. The little kobold sucker never told us there was a dragon in here and I'm really not ok with that. ,but is everyone still breathing? "
“The Healer has given us a victory,” says Necria, “and with her blessings, I am unhurt. We all did our part in defeating this whelp of a dragon. As for the kobold, he was truthful. The ‘boss’ to which he referred was this monster here, although he styled it a ‘dwagon’, but I think that’s just a matter of his dialect.”
”My share of the treasure I will sacrifice to my deity at midwinters! Let us retrieve it!”

OOC: Bless adds 1d4 to ALL attacks and saves for the duration. You don’t have to choose which ones.
I thought it was once per turn not per attack....nice.
OOC: Jharn is only level 1 so only had 10 max hit points.
As she is hit by the by the dragon acid breath, Jharn screams in pain before collapsing and sinking into the murky water.
OOC: It looks like Jharn didn't add a d4 to her DEX save. I don't know if a retcon would be possible, but it might have made the difference?
It wouldn't make a difference because the save is for half damage...either way, Jharn isn't dead, but she is knocked out.

One of Drueze's darts catches the dragon in her smoldering eye, and she lets out a grating shriek of pain, taking 7 damage.

Seeing that Belleres is coming to Jharn’s aid, Necria wades out into the water until she’s within 30 feet of the dragon and lets fly her javelin.
Attack: 21
Damage: 6 piercing
A surge of inspiration from Jharn’s war chant guides Necria’s throw, adding 3 to her attack, for a total of 21.
After watching to see if her javelin hit its mark, Necria pulls her mace from her belt and readies herself for the dragon’s next move.

OOC: unsure where we are in the initiative order.
On Belleres' next move they will use their movement to move away from the dragon, holding their staff and shield.
It’s your turn Jharn.

The dragon is dead. What will you do?

(Always best to give the DM more than they need and let them make decisions) how big was this dragon?
Treasure, dragon hide(if we can drag it up),and report back mission accomplished?
