Working together, 9 and Witt manage to ravage the remaining bullywug standing next to 9. What the arrow couldn't finish off the loud thunderous snap of the whip completed the job effectively.
With no target's nearby and her master in danger, Cali rushed past everyone in the group leaping high and crashing into the creature threatening Nemeia. The bullywug was completely outmatched as the mechanical defender drove its fangs into the frog man, snapping its neck from behind.
Bullywug Turn...
Of the few remaining ambushers, one rushes up to Witt, picking up it's spear before lunging forward with it in both hands. Meanwhile the other one next to Sora attempts to return her vicious attacks back at her, launching multiple attacks as it tries to take her down.
The Bullywug attacking Witt fails to land his thrust against the agile hafling. While the one assaulting Sora is met with a skillful parry from the human fighter, only managing another meager scratch.
Sora moves tactically, carefully positioning herself directly between the last two remaining bullywugs. A normally dangerous position, she takes advantage of the assistance to deliver powerful blows to her enemies while moving closer to protect her allies.
Moira's blast strikes the Bullywug in front of Witt solidly in the chest, causing it to let out a croaking grunt of pain, but it refuses to drop that easily. Inevitably it becomes a meaningless gesture as Moira's friends quickly capitalize on its injuries.
As Sora moves deftly into position, she takes full advantage of the distraction from Moira's familiars once again. Her gamble pays off and she slices her blades through the air expertly, a soft gust of raven feathers guiding her movements even further. The swords land hard against their respective targets, cutting deep grooves in bullywug flesh. But a moment later both remaining frog men crumple to the ground in a gout of blood.

Witt looks out at the surrounding swamp, nervous that there may be more of the bullywugs watching or on their way. Did we get them all? I wonder if they have friends nearby.
While the others search the dead creatures or talk, he will do a circle around the battle site, looking for trouble.
Nemeia lets out a giant sigh of relief as the threats sink in the swamp water. She caresses Cali's metallic shell in appreciation. "You did good girl," she says like her father used to say to her after a successful tinker. Nemeia's focus quickly moves to the others. "Is everyone okay?,"she says in a rushed tone. She looks to 9, hoping that she stayed safe. "Are you okay?,"she says with a bit of worry.

9 exhales once again, as she does after every battle. Still alive, she thinks. After all that happened, clearing the mine, making it out of the town attack, escaping, she is still alive. She touches her feathers while she walks around the swamp, checking to see if all the bullywugs are dead, thinking over what little amount of faith can lead to. She then looks over the others making sure no one is too hurt, and tries to pick up the tracks once more. Survival: 9
Sorawas breathing fast as she looked around the swamp for any more enemies to kill. Only after making sure they weren't in any danger did she look at the rest of the group. She still seemed energized from the battle, not even registering the minor wounds she had suffered so far.
"That was Awesome! I think we're really starting to work well as a team." She proclaimed as she cleaned her swords in the dead bullywug's rags. Once that was complete she would assist whoever wanted to search the bodies.
"This is just a guess, but I'm betting we're getting close. Doesn't make any sense to have an ambush ready in the middle of no where for no reason. Seems more likely they'd have someone out here to protect against invaders closer to whatever den these guys came from."
"Good point. I can have my birds scout a head a bit as we finish up here."
She looks at the two hawks that swoop towards here and then continue off in the direction they had been traveling. They go for one mile telepathically contacting Moira if they see anything of interest sharing their senses with her. In the mean time Rusty helps Moira look through the Bullywug's belongings.
“Yes, I’m fine, just a scratch. How are you and Cali? Everyone else? I have to agree with Sora here, we really are working great, even without a plan of action”
I'm okay, says Witt, still looking around with an expression of concern, though he's slowly relaxing. We seem to be doing okay without a plan. But at the mine, we only found out at the very end that the goblins had basically been forced from their home and were sheltering in the mine. Their chief didn't want to talk to us, so we did the only thing we could, but is there a way we can talk to the bullywug chief before a big fight starts? Do you think they would understand if we try to parley?
As the swamp settles and you look about you, you are fairly certain there are no more immediate dangers. If there were any more ambushers they are long gone by now. As you look throughout the bodies of the fallen Bullywugs you find the same raged leathers and crude spears that you've seen before. Interestingly you also find some additional coins on their person totaling roughly 14 silver total. Perhaps this was taken from the people of Greymeadow that they had just recently raided, but there was no way to be sure.
As you search the bodies Moira's pet hawks fly high into the air and scout ahead for the whole group. It doesn't take them long to find something interesting. A clearing of sorts, with crude huts and other signs of occupation. There are several creatures of various sizes there moving about in some fashion. It's hard to make out detail from a distance. It's not much farther from where you are, though it still will take some travel through the difficult swamp.
”I think we should keep what we find here separate. Return it to the towns folk. The frogmen’s village is not far ahead. Are we going to try to enter peacefully?”
Nemeia nods in agreement. "We're okay," she says looking at her defender, Cali.
"I wouldn't mind trying to talk things over with the bullywugs. Maybe they are facing a problem that we can help them with. We're pretty good at fixing things!,"she says not so sure of it herself.
Yes,says Witt, let's return what we can to the townsfolk, or to the caravan if we find anything of theirs. Perhaps we could capture a scout, send them to deliver a message that we want to talk? He doesn't see any scouts around, but keeps looking anyway.
"I'm sure the townsfolk would be most thankful to at least get some of their things back." Nemeia thinks about the scout idea for a moment. "That's not a bad idea!"
"I think whatever we do, we should do it quickly." Sora said, "Chances are the longer we wait the more time they have to eat whatever they stole." Thinking about the ideas brought up so far makes her wonder for a moment, "Actually, do any of us speak frog? Cause I'm pretty sure I heard them yelling at each other and giving orders, but I couldn't understand a lick of what they were saying. It's gonna be really hard to accomplish anything peaceful if we can't even communicate."
Witt also shakes his head. I speak common, and the halfling tongue, and that's it. The clerics tried to get me to learn celestial, but I could never quite make sense of the letters. Nemeia is right, let's keep moving.
