9 follows quickly behind them, “I only know Elvish apart from Common. Maybe we can hide and observe their actions for some time. Maybe we can pick up something from that, if we can’t communicate with words”
Well, let's hope they speak common, then,says Witt. I mean, most people do - it's called 'common' after all.
Witt walks along in the middle of the group, happy to be no longer handling the tracking, and trying to think of what he will say to the bullywug leader if they get the opportunity. Occasionally, he tries lines out loud:
'Esteemed Chief of the Bullywug folk, we are here on a mission of mercy...;
No, 'Glorious King of the Frog People, we have been sent by the town of...;
No, 'Honourable Lord X, it is our honour to speak to you on behalf of....;
Nemeia, starting to feel more comfortable in the slush and gunk of the swap, looks over Cali. "You're doing great. I'll get you all cleaned up when we get back. I'm not sure you want to let that flesh linger on your teeth. I'll have to adjust your tongue mechanism to help clean things like that up." She pats the metal companion as it walks beside her.
The party will have no issue coming up on the Bullywug encampment, though the sun will start setting soon by the time you get there, and you will have little daylight of any form left if you spend too much time out here.
Everyone make Stealth checks if you want to approach the Bullywugs unseen. And Perception checks if you want to spot them first.
Soramoved forward as quietly and efficiently as she could manage, though swamps were hardly the terrain she was used to. In truth she remained more focused on keeping watch, making sure they would not be ambushed again.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Moira
Thinking they were just walking in Moira did’t try to sneak until she saw the rest of the group doing so. She did keep watch tough while Rusty sniffer the air his large ears turning this way and that.
Moira stealth : 18 (self imposed disadvantage for RP)
I want to go talk to them,says Witt, looking extremely nervous, but I think if I go alone, they might just think I'm target practice. Or a bite-size snack. He looks at Moira; Would it be okay if we go together?
Unaccustomed to this swampy terrain, there was on doubts to everyone that they would not be making this approach quietly, which suited the group just fine as they sought out a diplomatic solution first. Needless to say the Bullywugs ahead of them were prepared for their arrival, however due to the sharp eyes of several people in the group, you were easily able to spot them well ahead of reaching your destination. In addition to the group of frog men in front of you as you step into the village, you were also aware of a couple of their kin moving to either side of the group, ready for a sneak attack of their own. It seemed the only reason they didn't attack you was because it was obvious you saw them first.
It's clear these Bullywugs are hostile to everyone in the group, but at the moment they have not attacked yet. Though you suspect violence is only moments away if you fail to convince them otherwise.
Witt raises both hands, including the one that is gripping Moira very tightly, and waves slightly with the free one. Hello. We have come to talk, in peace. Please do us the honour of allowing us to meet your, um, chief. Or leader. King maybe? He sounds a little less sure of himself with every word, but nevertheless does his best to appear calm and non-threatening.

Moira
Seeing her friend falter a bit Moira speaks out. "We wish to help you and resolve this dispute without violence. What has driven you to attacking the town?"

Nemeia looks to the others feeling a bit bolstered in their resolve. "We're problem solvers. Is it food you need? We can solve that problem." She mutters quiety, "hopefully."
Nemeia having watched how 9 leads the way decides to try and figure out the best way through the swamp toward where the hawks are directing.

"I'm not going to be much help there. I only know common."
Sora simply looked around at the rest with a shrug and added, "Don't look at me, I only know common and bad common."
Well, let's hope they speak common, then, says Witt. I mean, most people do - it's called 'common' after all.

Witt creeps forward with the others, trying to spot a bullywug scout or anything else useful.

9 would also like to see if there is any special behaviour in their actions, like if they are acting somewhat tensely or like a usual bullywug would.

Moira
”Always.“
Moira takes the halfling’s hand grasping it tightly. With a deep breath she walks with Witt into the village.

(Okay, not so great. Anyone else feel like joining in?)
Nemeia follows Witt's example and does her best to look as peaceful as possible. Her tail swishes nervously in the swamp goop.
