Soradecides to carry the head of this snake, assuming it will be easier to hold, and maybe they'll be able to harvest the fangs or poison from it later. If not the skull should make a cool trophy.
Mary helps where she can with both the navigation, and the disassembly and collection of meats, the more they get the more can be sold. The more sold, the more coin in her purse.
For helping with the snake, since we did thee navigation bit already. Survival 14
"Well I want to take as much as possible, but we should leave room in our packs for the loot the Goblins will have."
Mary makes sure she has plenty of meat, but not so much as to weight her down, or fill her bag up, just in case the goblins have lots of treasure, treasure before food, arrr.
9 tries to find a dry piece of land and rests on it while others are busy with the snake. She opens her sketchbook and tries to draw what that snake looked like in an anatomical way, sometimes approaching to compare her sketch to the corpse.
In the search for solid ground 9 is able to find the trail that she had spotted earlier. It seems to be a path of fairly solid earth which has seen a great deal of use. It's not hard to imagine that this would be the path that the miners would use to get back and forth from town.
Witt will happily follow, relieved to be on their way towards their quest again, and trying not to think about the massive and very scary snake. On the way, he attempts to resume his conversation with 9 that was so rudely interrupted by the now-dead serpent:
So, um, you mentioned that you are a follower of the Lady?As is his habit when walking and talking with bigfolk, he tends not just to stay walking at their side, but swaps from left side to right side, darting around, sometimes a little in front and turning his head back to talk, other times following a foot or two behind, never seeming content to stay in one place.
"Yea, let's go, we've wasted enough time already." Sora joins the rest heading down the trail, still carrying the snake's head like a keg on her shoulder.
“Indeed, I suppose, I am now. It was fate really. I wonder how others convey their faith to their patrons. I am quite new to this actually”, 9 leaves some space for Witt to move around, and slows her pace to match his. She still moves somewhat slowly and carefully, taking in the surroundings and making sure to be aware of any unusual occurensec around the group.
Mary keeping pace with the group, decided the swamp, isn't a safe place for idle chatter. And decided to go as stealthy as possible, watching all the approaches, as the group moved towards the mine.

She rather enjoyed the activity with these people, though she wondered was this bounty hunting, or just plain Adventuring. What was she going to do in the future, as Pirate Captain was no longer an option.
"I try to craft Migrim's symbols into things I craft like my father frequently does. That's rereally the best way to show Migrim you're thinking about them." Nemeia looks to 9. "It is like the feathers you've been gathering." Nemeia recalls what she knows about other faiths. "Every god likes different things. Some gods are more hands on than others."
”I always found the idea of devoting so much to just one of the gods. They all watch and help us in their own ways. It must be very comforting to have such a close relationship with them though.” Moira has bundled up the skin she was able to get and was lugging it across her shoulders in a wide roll.
“Interesting. I suppose some of them are less involved than others. Is your father a craftsman too?”, 9 asks Nemeia , now being a little more relaxed, seeing that nothing threatens them for now. Her shoulders sink a little and her stiff smile dissapears into a relaxed content expression.
As you all progress through the swamp on the trail, you find the travel far easier on this relatively solid ground. It's not difficult to figure out the path towards the mines and you start moving there at a decent pace. Eventually you begin to see ahead of your a large rocky outcropping jutting up from the swamp bed.
9 - Already you manage to catch site of an opening at the base of the rocky outcropping before you that you're fairly sure would be the mine entrance. In addition you see several figures moving inside the opening quickly.
Nemeia follows behind 9 as she starts fiddling with some contraption. It looks like mostly spare parts but her hands are busy and that's what mattered. She occasionally lifts her head and scans the area, hoping they'd arrive soon. It was nice being back on an actual path though.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

As the group makes their way along the path Moira considers it might have been better to carry the bundle of snake kin on her back rather than in front blocking her sight.

Oh looking in my inventory, it seems Mary has Navigational tools. Airhead me just noticed it. :)
So yah, so she's going to start using them properly. As long as I don't roll 1 we are good.
edit, never mind. It's proficiency with, still not use to the 5th ed sheet. Remind me to pick up a navigational kit at the next real town.

Once they finish up with the snake, 9 will point the path out.
