Zelra gives Ola a thunbs up. "I never say no to more money."
At Ola's question, she stares at the rest of the group for a few moments, giving each of them a thorough once over as she thinks to herself before clicking her fingers and pointing at each person as she names them. "Goliath guy, human dude and Otger can be my bodyguards. Blue chick will be my assistant. Dwarf and elf can be porters. How's that sound? Human dude, you being my bodyguard would make it easier to explain why you were roosting, if you get caught."
"Names Ruik m'lord" he says sarcastically as he gets to his feet.
"Let's get this done, I'm not getting any younger."
But he just stands there, waiting for the others. He does not try to take the lead. When the others are ready he'll fall into line. He throws his shield onto to his back and slings a small bag over his shoulder.
Ola nodded (without a flinch at her definition as a "blue chick") and unbuckled her scabbard. "Guess, I'll have to leave it here". She disappeared from the room to put the sword with her belongings and quickly returned with a small bag with a quill and some paper sticking out of it. Dagger she left on the open, but chain mail was somewhat covered with a fine cloak (elven made in deep forest colours - variation of dark green and black).
As soon as Zelra hands out assignments Arnald and hawk heads out. Once within visual tabby of the barn Arnald has his hawk, Sly, fly ahead and scout the barn and area around it. Arnald approaches as stealthily as possible, hiding in the barn if the coast is clear otherwise hiding nearby the barn to rejoin the party.
Arnald heads out in advance with nary a word, as the rest of the group outfits themselves for the travel. The half-elf stands, leaning with one hand on the table and says, "Remember, it is crucial that the silver pin be placed on the seller or one of their crew. I will see you in the stables." With a nod, he pulls his hood back over his head, hanging low over his faces, and departs.
For Arnald:
It is a 20-minute walk to the meeting place. The sun draws low in the sky, and the weather is pleasant. The barn itself is a simple, open structure, 30 feet wide and 80 feet long.
As Sly flies around the perimeter of the barn, you see that the sellers are already here; a flyby past the opening of the barn reveals a female elf waiting with three humans within. A ladder at the inside of the barn opposite the doorway, surrounded at its base by burlap sacks, leads to a hay loft 10 feet above the barn floor. The loft is 40 feet long, and covers the whole width of the barn, directly above the end of the barn opposite the door. Rusted farm implements lean against the barn walls.
OOC: Sylyra currently has the bag of fake diamonds. Who is taking the silver pin?
Otger removes his vestments and returns them to his bed in the shared room. "I'm sure the vestments aren't a good disguise as a body guard." Otger is very impressed with Zelra's initiative and at the moment at least believes this should be an easy task. As he returns to the group, he introduces himself to everyone. "I am Otger, cleric by trade. Any wounds you get through battles I may be able to cure." He stumbles a bit as he tries to flourish a bow at the group. He is clearly not he most agile nor the best looking but he is honest and cares for his companions.
Uragum moves himself next to Zelra. The most appropriate spot for a bodyguard. He brings up his and casts a simple spell over himself. A spell of protection that will make it harder for weapons and magic to pierce his skin. He then turns his heavy gaze upon her and says, "The talking will be on you, but I'll be close by if you need a show of power. Just say the word."
"I'll be up front with you all, this is not my kind of mission. I feel grossly out of my element so I won't say a word and try not to draw attention to myself." Otger looks over to Zelra, "I'll be right behind you, if things start going wrong just kick my foot or something as a warning so I can prepare some defenses." Otger Pat's the pouch on his belt as he moves in behind Zelra. "Ready when you are."
Sylyra watches as everyone readies to go and begins heading for the rendezvous point. "I'll be right ..." he calls, letting his voice trail off. He quickly steps toward the half-elf.
DM:
Sylyra asks quickly, "Sir, the quality of those fake diamonds is astounding. I was wondering where you acquired them. I would be interested in investing some coin of my own into the enterprise. They could be a valuable asset."
After speaking briefly with the half-elf, and no matter the half-elf's answer, he'll hurry along to catch up with the others. If he needs to suggest talking more about it later, he'll do that.
Arnald waits for the rest of the group to come near where he's hidden. He casually steps out and walks along side the group.
"They have already arrived. I've spotted 4 people, 3 male humans and a female elf. There's a chance there could be others in the hay loft of the barn with the same idea I had, so we'll need to be on guard. Sly is still flying over head keeping watch."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zelra nods as Arnald reports his findings. "Well then, let's hope for the best and try not to die."She takes a deep breath to relax herself before walking into the barn.As she enters, she takes in the surroundings, trying to see if there's anyone hidden in the hay loft like Arnald suspected, looking for all the different exits they could take if things go wrong and even checking if there are any traps around.
The half-elf grins at you knowingly. Drawing his hood back over his head, he answers, "We have many resources in the Harpers. Should you one day decide to join our organization, this knowledge, and more, will be given to you freely."

Arnald, who arrive just moments before you, shares his information, and Zelra leads the way inside, flanked by Uragum, Arnald, and Otger, her "bodyguards", and trailed closely by Ola, Ruik, and Sylyra. For Zelra:
The loft looks empty of all but hay. The path through the barn appears clear of traps, and there are no other exits in sight save the entrance.
"Halt."The sinewy elf, in gray clothing, calls you to a stop twenty feet away. She smiles at the humans behind her. "I told you they would come. A dragon egg is much too valuable to pass up,"she says.
The elf turns back to you. "Now, let's do this quickly. Here is what you asked for," she says, holding a very large hide backpack toward Zelra.
"You throw the payment over to me, and we will leave the egg here. We will exit the barn, and then you can leave after five minutes have passed. No fuss, no muss," she declares, looking at Zelra a little more closely. "Hold on. Something is not right here."
Hoping to smooth the transaction, Sylyra begins to secretly cast charm person on the sinewy elf — making a magical gesture with one hand and whispering ancient words in Druidic only Ruik would understand.
"You can take it from my share" Ola's voice was quiet but firm. "So everyone get 30 golds and I will get 20".
"What roles do you want us to play, Zelra? You will have to decide,so, no one steps on others toes and you remember who is who."
