Captain Obaysch looks a discerning eye towards Tefkae. "Ah, now you are asking the correct questions, young sailor." He says proudly. "The giff are a mighty race which I am a proud member of. Our influences spreads, or err... spreaded, across vast areas of the crystal spheres. Many a folk would revere our excellent combat capabilties and affinity for smoke powder." He contently taps the firearm at his hip. "Those were the days, when we would soar through the phlogiston from one realm to another, cannons ready to fight in aid of our employers and allies. Hmph..." He lightly pats the pouch contianing his pipe. "Now, where were we? Ah yes, noble fighters and masters-at-arms. We leave the cowardly spellcasting to the non-giff recruits and other mercenaries... If one of your friends has one of those mending spells, perhaps they could turn that glass into something of use."
(If the rest of the group wants to take the dog back to the ship, they may feel free to be returning at this point.)
Ankor will trail the other two as they make their way back to the ship. once onboard seeing the items Tefkae has laid out. "What do you make of these items Tefkae? oh and there is a dog here now so watch your cat"

With pup in hand Victoria is very pleased to have a furry little friend with her. She had a small smile on her lips. "Ok now what? We have some supplies, however what do we do with them."
Victoria would like to feed the pup one of her rations if that's ok.
Tefkae listened to the good captain with rapt attention. So when he mentioned smoke powder again, their eyes are drawn to the weapon the Captain had in hand last, then to their own lesser version. "Understood. I have other questions; such as in regards to the 'phlogiston' and 'crystal spheres'. But they--"Tefkae turns in time to see the others approaching the ship. "-can wait."Returning to their sorting, the forged one is in the process of putting away the broken pieces of glass when Ankor's question cuts in.
"Warning unnecessary. Dr. Pepper has both mobility, intelligence, and strength far outstripping the young canine. If anything, someone should keep a close eye on it. As for the items, some I recognize as potential currency, the planks can be used on the hull with the added use of the pitons. Other material will require further, more dedicated repair before being made operable."Tefkae finally looks up at that point, and regards everyone. "Belatedly. Welcome Aboard. Captain. Shall one or several us go below to assist the one known as Eight Bit with further repairs, or do you have something else in mind?"

Victoria takes the pup and finds it easily fits underarm. It yaps a couple of times, but seems to get comfortable with its current position for the time being. With that, the remainder of the group begins to head back to the ship. Victoria takes out some of her trail rations, and the pup seems to happily scoff down any food put in front of it, whether it be salted jerky or mixed berries.
Back at the ship, Captain Obaysch looks pleasantly content with the procurement of objects. "Yes, and in a nicely spread out layout. Well done, chap." He pats a heavy and sturdy hand on Tefkae's shoulder. The captain gestures for the others to come aboard. "Welcome back, crew. I see you found some pieces that may be useful for our continued voyage. These nails and lumber can be vital in ensuring that any further damage is repaired swiftly. This glass, however, is not useful in its current state. It can be placed within the lockbox for if we can find use for it later. Now, get ready for departure, we can't be left dallying when we should be sallying forth. "

Passive Perception 15+: As you are getting yourselves settled back on the ship, there is a subtle set of ripples in the waters, perhaps 100 feet back from where your shift drifted from.
Zack points a finger to the ripples and says with a raised voice, "C-Captain! Movement over there!" His hand then begins glowing a sickly green and a skeletal hand begins to fade in and out of existence above his shoulder. (Ready Action: Chill Touch on potential enemy)
Ankor looking where Zack is pointing catches a slight glimpse of the ripples but not really sure where they originated from. "Capt. better start moving or we better get ready for whatever Zack saw over there" Ankor readies his shield and long sword and takes a position to put himself between where zack was pointing and the rest of the group. After using his divine sense ability earlier and getting the feeling that this place has a balance that is unlike anywhere else he has traveled has him worried but he keeps a stoic appearance about him as to not show anyone his concerns.

Looking over to where Zack is pointing out, the group see some disturbances in the silvery liquid's surface. a long shadowy form seems to break the surface, like an enormous sea serpent. It is hard to determine if it is a solid mass or something intangible.
"Well, time to cast off." Captain Obaysch says, pulling the looped rope from the piece of ruin. "Prepare for departure, all hands on deck."
If Zack wants to cast his readied spell, he may do so.
The necrotic hand launches at the shadowy form of the creature lurking in the sea. The hand grasps onto the form and seems to take hold before dissipating, its effects done. It is unsure whether or not the chill touch successfully harmed the beast or not.
The ship slowly begins to glide along the surface of the astral sea, Captain Obaysch taking hand at the helm. "Keep vigilant, chaps." He orders the group. "We should be out of here in a jiffy. Let's hope whatever that is doesn't want to chase after us, or it'll be a short chase. Some of you go help Eight-Bit with the repairs down below."
If you would like to assist in repairs on the ship, helping it in its movement, you can head down below and make a flat Intelligence check to assess which areas need the most attention, or a Strength check to board up and hammer in the repair timber. If you are proficient in Carpenter's Tools, add your proficiency bonus. (One check for each, though one person may help should a third person go down)
If you are staying up aboard deck, tell me what you are planning to do.
"By your leave, Captain, this one shall join in the repairs." Tefkae gives her best approximation of a navel salute, then follow after Eight-Bit to assess the situation. Of prior sightings of the creature, the warforged hardly seemed bothered past the point of a magical hand sent out. They even go so far as to overclock themselves, if only in a limited capacity to further the work. Mr. Pepper stays up top, finding the highest point of purchase to continue keeping watch for some time.

Zack internally regrets not having Magic Missile prepared. If only he could cast it from his spell book. Seeing Tefkae leave for repairs, he says, "I'm coming with you to help." Since he is pretty much useless on top he follows after Tefkae and tries to help as best as he can. Apparently (judging by the 5 roll) Zack isn't much of a help since he isn't familiar with tinkering or ship. Still, he tries his best to help in any way he can.
Ankor. Seeing this creature unsure what it is. Will stay topside and hold a Dodge while sizing up this potential foe. If the creature doesn't attack he will aid the Capt in anyway he can or is asked to do.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zack and Tefkae hurry below deck to find Eight-Bit currently poking scraps of cloth into tiny holes within the hull. They quickly assess the area, bringing the lumber and nails down with them and determine there's a couple of spots that'll need attention first before they can properly progress. Handing a piece to Eight-Bit, the modron scuttles across the deck to begin the repairs.
Repair Check:6 The little robotic looking creature is trying its hardest, but lacks the physical means to properly complete the repairs alone.
The rest remain above deck and begin to determine that whatever that shadowy form is, it is vast in size compared to the ship they are currently drifting away on. The ripples begin again, gliding slowly up and along the silvery waters nearby. "Steady, men." Captain Obaysch calls as the boat rocks slightly. "Everything is under control." He points towards one of the arches perhaps a couple of hundred feet ahead of them. "Perhaps we can travel there, or maybe lure the beast in. We need an agreement before we enact a plan, chaps."
"I think we should travel there. This ship can't take any more damage, we need to get out of here. " Victoria say assessing if we can make it before the 'thing' reaches us and attacks.
Even when inexperience shows, there is no condescension on derision out of the warforged assassin. They merely adapted to Zack's "style" to make the most of things. Though seeing Eight Bit in trouble, and being notified of further complications above by their tressym, the warforged relays it, if'n the words hadn't already seeped down through the deck wood. She then points up at some spot and whispers something to the captain.
"Whichever you believe have the most promise Captain, this unit will oblige. If both are equal, travel through is this ones preference."
Whatever she did done, she turns back on the duo and adds,"If one wishes to grab Ankor for further repairs down hair require strength. I will remain to continue assisting however I can with the one that remains."

Zack is unsure of whether he wishes to get Ankor or not. On one hand Ankor would be a good help in fixing the things down here. On the other hand, Ankor's combat prowess might be needed on the deck. Additionally, Zack feels he would be useless on top. So he asks, "So, do you want me to get Ankor?"
