Zack considers this and, eventually, shrugs. Allright, tour of the town it is. This may sound obvious, but if we're doing that, we should probably check them in the order we find them, going like we're connecting the dots. I'll keep point. Better I get hit than either of you, I think. So, if that's the plan, lets do it. And with that, Zack, again taking point, would head to the Inn's front door, whether off it's hinge or not, Zack would Ready an attack so long as whatever it was was visible, and clearly hostile. He would wait just outside the door, until the others joined him, before heading in.
Zack still has the Worg head in hand (Intim: 15) but how his readied attack will work is he will drop the head to grab the sword - if needed.
Once inside, he looks around, scanning the area for any visible threats, though after the temple, not expecting to find anything immediately. (Perception: 14) if he wasn't attacked, and didn't see any enemies, he would head for the most visible open entrance once all of them were inside the Inn.
You stand at the front door to the Nightstone Inn, a large and ornate wrought-iron sign hands above the door displaying the name of the Inn. As you open the door you are met with a room that's been severely damaged. A large boulder rests just off to your right. It appears to have punched through the roof and landed here, destroying a dining table and pair of long benches. The remains of a bed and wardrobe are also strewn about the ground, likely from the room directly above the dining room. Two smaller round tables and several chairs remain intact, on both tables is an unlit oil lamp. The room itself is about 30ftx30ft. Across the room from you on the far wall is a door, next to the door is a flight of stairs leading up.
The thing that catches your attention the most however is the presence of a Goblin in the middle of the room. The Goblin is lying on the floor and doesnt appear to moving, a crossbow bolt is sticking out of its chest. You can also hear what sounds like someone rummaging around from the room beyond the door on the opposite wall by the stairs.
Zack would motion to the others that he was going to proceed towards the sound of rummaging, but on his way to the goblin corpse, he looks it over, to see if it was the goblin they were looking for or not before remembering that Nadaar had failed to give a description of the creature outside of a name. He would set the worgs head down as he 12 relatively quietly moved through the area. Eyes scanning around just in case.
If nothing happened before he reached the bolted goblin, after setting the head down, Zack would take his blade, and lay it at a slight angle, before slowly, but surely dropping both his own weight, and the weight of the blade down to decapitate it.. just in case. If the corpse wasn't actually a goblin faking it, and it was indeed beheaded, Zack would once again, pick up the worgs head and proceed to the sound of rummaging, to inspect what was there. His previous readied action, readied again.
You try to be as quiet as possible as you approach the Goblin however the debris on the ground is hard to avoid and you end up accidentally kicking a loose peice of wood. It clangs across the ground but isnt particularly loud. You stop briefly to see if you've been heard but the sounds in the next room continue uninterrupted. The sound of doors being slammed and the smashing of pots coming from the next room appears to have drowned out any notice you might have made, at least for the whoever or whatever is in the next room. As far as the Goblin on the ground you see no change. Continuing forward you reach the Goblin and kneel down beside it. As you go to put your blade in position you are startled as Nadia taps your shoulder, she had apparently followed right behind you without your notice. She silent points at the arrow shaft embedded into the Goblin chest and whispers. "Don't bother, look, shot in the heart. Would have died instantly." In an even lower tone of voice she says "Body is still warm. This is fresh. Two minutes ago at most probably sooner. Whoever or whatever did this has to be close." You notice that Nadia has her bow out with an arrow nocked, Seemingly ready to fire at any hostile that may appear.
(Btw Nadaar did provide a description I believe though the retelling of it was hand waved, but you would know what Beemot looks like. So with that said )
Now that you have a closer look at the Goblin corpse before you you notice the expression on its face appears to be calm, as if it never saw its killer and confirming Nadias assemen of a quick and painless death. It's one eye stares blankly up to the hole in the ceiling above you and put to the might sky from the destroyed roof. The other eye appears to be missing, and in its place is a large scar.
(Ooc today is my rl dnd day. Also ah... I reread through 3 of his posts and didn't see a description... so either I read the wrong ones or somehow eye called past it. So that's my bad. I will be able to post in...9.5 hours)

Admittedly more concerned with the rummager over a dead goblin at the time, Nadaar kept his sword sheathed to avoid any noise, but a hand stayed upon its hilt while making his way over to the door. But progress is slow, if only out of caution and self-awareness. If the Worg fight taught him anything, it was that a twinkle toes he was not. Somewhat embolden by Zack's misstep however, he picks up until Zack at best beats him to the door.
Half-jokingly, he gives a silent but flamboyant bow, sweeping his hand about as if to say 'after you' before straightening out and ready to follow after the man through the breech.
Realizing a few moments before that the goblin that lie dead was likely Beemot. And nodding at Nadia's assessment without word, though he didn't like leaving the 'possibility' regardless, he pressed on. Smirking at Nadaar, who had been much quieter than he had gettign to the same place, Zack soundlessly mouths out the words 'I did try to tell you steal is not my forte~' before Zack would poke the Worgs head around the corner first, just before his own would follow, trying to catch a glimpse of who or what was causing all the ruckus. From this position, Zack wouldn't be able to get off a proper strike, due to the sheer length of his blade.
Peeking his head around the corner just after the Worg head...
If the creature is seen, and is Human/elf/other 'usually' civilized race/potential citizen Zack will softly greet the person with an Are you someone who lives in this town? Are you hurt? Do you have any idea what happened, etc? (Insight: 22)
If the creature is seen, and isn't likely a townsfolk, or is otherwise clearly a naerdowell Zack will shift the sword as quietly as he can, till the sharp, tip of the blade presses against their back, but does not attack them immediately, saying Who are you, and what are you doing here?attempting to 'hold them up'
If the creature isn't seen Zack will look around in the room (perception: 20) and then if somethign is seen, action potential 1, or 2.
If somehow the creature STILL isn't seen, Zack will make his way into the room, 'dodge' readied.
Nadia follows behind and you both notice the lack of sound she makes compared to the two of you. As you enter the room she follows suit, arrow ready incase any hostile creatures try to attack. As the three of you slowly enter the room you see that it appears to be a kitchen/pantry. Set into the north wall opposite you is a stone fireplace, the floor is strewn about with cooking utensils and broken dishware. The north west corner has been smashed open by a large rock, exposing the building to the outside world. Outside you can see what appears to be two separate cemetery's, one against the north palisade wall behind the inn and the other to the west behind the temple. Close to the rock, near the smashed remains of the pantry, is a goblin who appears to be stuffing foodstuffs into a large sack that looks to be almost the same size and the Goblin itself.
Zack, your able to sneak up to the Goblin who is clearly oblivious to their surroundings at the moment. You put the tip if your sword against it's back and it freezes in place. As you ask your question the Goblin stammers in a mix of goblin and common though the words are gibberish in either language. Without seeming to be aware of the danger or just not caring, the goblin grabs the sack and attempts to run through the open section of wall, provoking an opportunity attack from Zack. Should the goblin manage to avoid the hit it gets about 20 ft away and is outside, clearly slowed down by the sheer weight of the sack.
Not so fast buddy... Zack would say quietly, as he took only a moment to gauge if he had room to swing, before taking the backside of his blade, and by crouching low, would just barely find room, with an angular arc to swing it without getting caught on something, attempting to hit the goblin with a knockout-hit (Nonlethal) Attack: 25 Damage: 4
if that wasn't enough to stop the goblin or make it reconsider, Zack would pursue and attempt to get in front of it, without leaving it's range.
You have just enough room to swing but not enough to put in the desired power behind it. You strike with the flat of the blade but aren't able to hit hard enough to knock out the Goblin, however you easily outpace it. When you cut off its escape it goes to turn around while reaching for a blade, but upon seeing Nadia and Nadaar behind it it appears to think twice about that action. Turning back to you it yells angrily in common "Stupid human. Go away. More Goblins come and kill you. Friend close. Probably ready to stab you now he is!"
Zack, having needed to drop the worgs head to strike, would speak just loud enough for Nadia to hear Throw the head over here. Show him how effective his 'friends' are. And maybe he'll reconsider just how 'stupid' we are. Readying his large sword, that was easily as thick as the goblin itself, atleast from one side, and twice as tall. Looking down at the goblin with a mix of pity and exhaustion, but behind it, it was clear he wasn't afraid to use the 'sharp' end of his blade either.
Whether or not Nadia does as he asked, even though he knew she wasn't exactly 'happy' about the heads existence, and would apologize later.. probably. Now little guy... from what I've heard, you guys didn't attack this place.... Which means I have no reason to kill you. I'd rather you not give me one. So was that big guy back there uh... Beemo? Beemot? Yeah, Beemot. Was that him? How'd he die? Was it you? Someone else? Be honest with me now buddy and you can survive this. I don't actually enjoy killing. But I also won't hesitate if you make me.
Zack intimidation with advantage[help from nadia]: 13
Nadia kicks the head over albeit reluctantly. The head rolls only a few feet of way and makes a sickening splattering sound as the neck hits the ground.
The Goblin looks at it with am expression of shock but it seems to regain its confidence. It spits at the Worg head and turns back to face you.
"Worg stupid and weak. Serve Goblin, no more. Gum-Gum stronger than dumb beastie, she stronger than you stupid! Whole Goblin horde kill you human. You too elf and dragon man! Especially for lie! Beemot not dead stupid! Beemot in other room! Probably ready to stab you dead!" She appears to stop, appearing to realize she gave away Beemots location. She appears to mutter a few curses, seemingly at herself but likely towards you as well. You notice her eyes darting around frantically, as if she was looking for someone to help or a way to escape. Despite her boasts of strength she makes no attempt to reach for her weapon, an old and rusty blade strapped to her hip. Instead her grip is firmly on the sack of stolen food, which as you saw is far to heavy for any Goblin let alone her to carry unhindered.

Nadaar gives Gum-gum the faintest of toothy smiles, and then says a few words in goblin.
"Funny. That ain't what this dragon man heard. Way understood. Goblin horde home. Only scouts and looters here. Easy pickings. You want live? You stop with brave front, and stop looking for escape or help. None coming anymore. But can work out some deal here. Might get coin for work along with life."
He then gives her a grandfatherly smile before looking up to Zack. "By your leave, Mr. Zack. I would speak with this one for a little while further. If you and Nadia would offer Beemot the chance to... come to the table, why, that sounds like quite the plan now doesn't it? Don't worry. Goblin "attack": 20
Nadaar, while speaking to Zack a blueberry muffin whizzes by your head and crumbles against the floor behind you. The Goblin appear to be reaching into the sack, looking for more ammo to throw. While digging through the sack of food she tells angrily "No talk! No betray Hark! You go or be sticky!" As that final threat is uttered you see she found a jar of honey and appears to be ready to throw it.
(Despite the "attack" I'm not ready to say your officially in combat so no initiatives at this point)

Zack sighs, seeing that the attempt at peace wasn't going to work, and feeling that time was being wasted at this point. But not completely against giving one more chance...
Look little lady.... We don't want to hurt you. You're just trying to survive, and you're outnumbered. We didn't hurt uh... what were their names? he says to Nadaar, waiting for him to fill in the blanks Ah yeah.. Vark and Beedo... We didn't hurt them. Just trust us.. ok? Zack extends his hand, once more resting the sword on his shoulder (persuasion: 18) Offering her as genuine a smile as he could muster.
if by some chance, she still chose the path of resistance, Zacks open hand would close into a fist, and he would say Sorry then... and attempt to knock her out with an punch. To hit - 20 for 5 damage.

19 - Zacks attack for fairness though I doubt he could miss
At the mention of Vark and Beedo you see her angry expression turn to one of shock. It looks like she is starting to calm down as she slowly lowers the jar of honey but quickly raises it again as her expression is now one of suspicion. Her eyes dart between the three of you and you can see she is clearly confused about what to do next. As you go to reach out for her however, it appears she mistakes the peaceful gesture for an attack. She throws the jar of honey at your face but misses wildly and it smashes against the bolder behind you. As she is reaching for the next food item you clock her in the back of the head. With a quick cry of pain the Goblin falls limply to the ground and is unconscious.
"So much for the more peaceful option."Nadaar said chuckling as he picked up the muffin, and began idly chewing on it. "Mn! This one is still good. Unfortunate what happened the honey though." He clicks his tongue and shakes his head. "Either of you got any rope on hand? Wouldn't need much for a goblin, but it never hurts. I would volunteer my own, if, uhm, well... I had my own."
Once either Zack or Nadia decided to volunteer to tie up Gum-gum, Nadaar roots around her former sack for anything else of interest. As soon as she was bound, he gestured over to some cabinet to stuff her end before they made ready to look around the rest of the Inn for Beemot, according to Gum-gum. Despite temptations, Nadaar sticks to follow along right behind Zack again when the time comes, a hand by the longsword, but blade kept sheathed again.

"Well, that went as well as I thought it would." Nadia deadpans with a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. When Nadaar asks if either of them had some rope, Nadia raises her hand and tells them to hold while she searches her pack for some. Within a moment, the ranger successfully pulls out a good chunk of rope, enough to tie the goblin up securely. "My knotting skills are... mediocre at best. Wanna help me Zack?"
((I'm not sure if i would need to roll for this, so I'll wait for the DM to let me know, then I'll edit my post c:))
When they (hopefully) successfully tie up the goblin, Nadia turns to Nadaar when he suggests stuffing her in a cabinet. "Should we... put her in there? I mean, yeah she was a little loco, but..." She takes a second to lull over the idea, but nods her head. "Nah, nah, I guess you're right..." Unless stopped, the elf will put her in some cabinet, but try to make it as comfortable as possible if she could.

She throws the jar of honey at your face but misses wildly and it smashes against the bolder behind you. As she is reaching for the next food item you clock her in the back of the head. With a quick cry of pain the Goblin falls limply to the ground and is unconscious.
"So much for the more peaceful option." Nadaar said chuckling as he picked up the muffin, and began idly chewing on it.
